Kipcha made it to the caves just before she had to lie down. Nearly an hour later she grunted and stood, having made no progress at all. She wandered about the cave pawing at the ground and found a softer spot to lie down. With another hour of getting up and lieing down her water finaly broke. A short time later one wet golden bay colt lay beside her. Kipcha lifted her head to look at the colt. She started to clean him and then whinnined in pain, lieing her head back down. She struggled for nearly twice as long as it had taken with the first foal, but finaly there were two foals at her feet. She rested for a few minutes before sitting up and cleaning the foals. One, the older and bigger was a colt. He was golden bay but with silverly white wings and black markings, exactly like Ghost. The filly was smaller and the same golden brown, but with two white socks and a white stripe. Her wings where a mix of white gold and brown. With the foals clean Kipcha whinned for Ghost but didn't stand.

Diamond brought her head up from the cold ground and shook her mane. Figureing after 2 and a half hours Kipcha gave birth, she though excidetly of congradulationing the new lead mother. When hearing Kipcha's whinny she was ready to jump up, but figureing it was for Ghost she didn't and just slowly pulled herself from the ground and shook her body foursily, ears going back and forth. She looked towards the east after hearing something move in the thicking forest. Thinking it was a rabbit, Diamond snorted and bowed her head to graze, ingoring the noise, untill she heard a sqeal filled the forest. Diamond ears pricked foreward and she watched the forest courisly. Seeing a tiny rump of something with for legs and 2 tiny pure white wings, trotting into a bush, Diamond slowly walked forewards coursie of this creature. Once she got closer she saw excatly what she thought it was: A tiny bay foal currling it's slef on the ground bleeting hungerily. It was so skinny and it looked exausted and weak. Diamond imdetly felt sorry for the poor thing and nickered quietly to it, her ears pricked forewards all the time.
The colt brought his head up and whinnied foursily as he saw Diamond stareing at him. He pulled himself off the ground and wandered over to Diamond to nurse. He searched and searched for the milk bag. Seeing it, he bit hard and tried to nurse but no feed came out. Diamond pinned her ears back and side-stepped when the colt tried to nurse. He pulled a bit to hard and it made Diamond toss her head. She looked down at the colt and nuzzzled him. "What's your name little one? Where's your mother?" Diamond asked as she groomed the colt. The bay colt just looked up at Diamond. "I'm not--not quiet sure. She--she wouldn't wake up." He said, obistibluy confussed. Diamond snorted softly and nodded her head. "Please come with me little one." Diamond said as she began to walk back to the herd, the colt trotting at her heels pressing against her flank.

Ghost paced restlessly until he heard Kipcha's whinny. His pricked towards the cave and he snorted, then shot off. He slid a halt outside the caves and walked gingerly inside. There, in the soft dawn light, he saw his two foals. He walked up to them, beaming, and lie down next to Kipcha and his foals, sniffing them, taking in their scents. "Oh, they're beautiful, absolutely gorgeous, Kipcha..." he said, nuzzling her neck, then nuzzling each of his foals lightly, fighting back tears. "How do you feel, love?" he asked her, smiling proudly.

Kipcha leaned against him, lying her head down on the ground. "Tired, sore." Her eyes drifted close and her ears laid floppily. The foals started crying for milk and nudging her sides, but she didn't move. She was more tired than she had ever been and she wanted to just lie on the ground and sleep.

*Sepsis again looked over the white stallion, she asked him to bend his legs, stretch his neck and back, asked him to try and roll to his stomach, and as he did all of these things with ease she became deeply surprised, and hesitantly asked him to stand. He did this, too, though slowly and carefully with help from her.*
I don't think you will survive alone on this cold beach, near the cold, damp mist..Come with me back to the herd.
No...That stallion I do not like..
You will die if you don't.
So be it.
*Angry, Sepsis bit his flank, right on his sore scar, he whinnied in pain, pinnind his ears back and nearly falling back to the gound.*
You mean to tell me you would rather die and let all of my hard work go to waste?! I saved your life, just so you can forsake it?! Just so you can trash it and not care?! I could have died for you, you errogant, spoiled horse!
*Sepsis turned and began walking slowly, bitterly away so that Moon could keep up.*

The colt looked around scardly at the herd. He saw the lead stallion take off towards the caves and saw a dark hell horse that scared the life out of him making him hide behind Diamond's flanks. He snorted softly flicking his ears back and forth. Diamond nuzzled him resurlling. "It's alright. They won't hurt you." She said softly looking into his deep dark brown eyes. He whinnied hungerily and pawed the ground softly. The poor foal was skinny and close to death and nothing Diamond could do for now wouldn't change anything.
Diamond whinnied in pain as a sharp kick sent though her body and mader her body quiver making the young colt side-step away and back step a couple of steps staring down at him new dam. He whinnied for help tossing his head as he watched Diamond prance around and circle herself. He had no clue of what she was doing and whinnied again for help even louder, his lungs bleeting. Diamond didn't want to give birth in the open field but she also didn't want to spoil Kipcha and her new twins and Ghost. She tossed her head, her ears flickering not sure of were to go. She knew preadators where close by ready to pounce onto her newborn. Her coat began to sweat and she began to walk around nervously snorting once every few minutes. After half an hour of walking, she slowly trotted by the cover shaded tree and laid down resting her head on the ground. Trying to get confortable on the hard ground, she quivered in coldness as a blat of wind hit her. Diamond shot a whinny of pain as 2 little dark feet poked their way into their world, followed by the 2 front hooves and it's chest, then peeking it's little dark head into the world, plopping it's self into the field. Diamond nickered softly, her coat covered in sweat. She slowly turned her head to look at her new foal cleaning it off with her pink tounge. She searched untill she found out what the sex of her foal was. Happy that it was a filly, she nuzzled it softly, contuieing to lick her foal, cleaning all the blood off. The filly's coat turned into a black coat with dark brown eyes. She had the eyes as her shire, and had the gem of her dam on her rump. Diamond slowly got up and nudged her filly, her muzzle under her stomach supporting her, to get up. Diamond walked over a few steps and bowed down to graze. The filly's legs shook as she tried to hold herself up. She took one step foreward and plopped right on the ground. She shook her head softly and tried to get back up. After a few tries she got the hang of it and walked slowly, her legs still shaking as she walked over to her dam and searched for the milk bag. Once she found it she greedly started nursing hungry then ever, hot milk spalaering all over her muzzle. The colt stood a few steps away from Diamond and her new filly and stomped his hoof, wanting to eat.

Ghost chuckled and nuzzled her again, draping his wing over her and the foals. "I'm sure you are. But, just let them nurse for a bit, then you can sleep, alright?" He told her encouraginly.
Evander slowly opened his eyes as the sun slowly rose, turning the land a dark, dark orange, and lifted his sore head off the ground, wincing in pain as a result. He saw Dreamcloud lying close ot him and he reached over and nuzzled her lightly so as she didn't awaken. He got to his feet and saw the colt hiding behind Diamond. He smiled mischeviously, knowing him not to be hers and he snorted, a plume of flame billowing from his nostrils.

"Your right." Kipcha sat up and then stood with a grunt and winced she was so sore it hurt to move. At the same time both foals tried to stand, calling for help. She nickered to them and nudged the filly up then the colt. While the colt had little trouble the filly fell back to the ground with a squeal. She placed her nose gently under the filly's belly and lifted her up. "They need names." She guided the foals to her belly so they could nurse, swishing her tail as they pulled too hard. She nuzzled Ghost tiredly but happily.

Diamond pulled her head back up as her filly pulled to hard. She shook her head and snorted softly pulling at her little forelock, sending the filly to pull back before going back to nurseing not noticeing the colt was there. There was enough space for both of them and Diamond turned her ettention keeping an close eye on her new colt. "Come." She said encourangly, reaching her neck over to nuzzle the colt. The colt slowly walked over to where the black filly was and nuzzled her softly before gently nudging her over a bit and starting to nurse greedily. The black filly pulled away at this strange foal who had just came by and back a few steps away, stumbling but able to pull herself back up and walking swiftly over to her mother for protecting bleeting fourisly. Diamond nudged her filly back towards the milk bag, nuzzling her. The filly walked backed over to the colt and softly nudged him before nursing, swishing her black tail at the same time as the colt. Diamond smiled happily before going back to grazing. She had already picked out a name or a girl and a boy, not knowing what sex it would be. Now that she had one of both she could use both of her names. "Welcome to the world, Jewel and Storm." Diamond whispeed looking both at her new foals.

Ghost smiled and touched his nose to his each of his foals then nuzzled his mare again. "Names.....hmm...." He said thoughtfully. He touched his muzzle to his colt's rump while he nursed, sniffing him.
Evander snorted, knowing the Diamond was probably now a mother. He lie back down on the ground, but kept himself in an upright position, looking around. The sun's first light shot over the mountain peaks, drenching the fields in gold.

((I dont know too much about newborn foals, but I know a great deal about newborn humans. The lungs are the last to develop, which is why I gave Moonstruck the weakened neigh, small like that of a lamb. Angel, your Jewel has strong lungs, though..Don't copy. And try to be more literate. After re-reading I can understand what you are trying to say. When I type too fast it results in typos, is that why you tend to mix up letters and mispell words? Dictionary.com is useful. Sorry for sounding like a grammar nazi, but having good spelling and grammar and such is part of being a good rper.))
*Sepsis made her way back to the herd, who was someplace near the thicket by the caves as she had remembered. She stopped for a moment as Moonstruck fell, tripping over a mole hill, and as she waited for Moon to stand once again, figuring it was best she gain stregnth by learning how to stand on her own, she looked to the west. The plains there seemed beautiful, and there must be a big, wide crystal lake for all of the misty fog that hung low on the earth. The weak whinny of Moon brought her back to reality, and she looked around, seeing Moon was a foot or so ahead of her. Sepsis walked alongside the foal, who was now seemed to be at the same rate as a normal newborn foal, her calls began to sound more of a horse's and her wings would sometimes flap and flutter, getting ready for flight one day.*
*Sepsis stretched out her own wings, she seemed to have forgotten they were there, she thought deeply about it, how could she have not used her own wings in so long? She could not so much as recall the last time she had taken flight, if ever, had she ever been taught how to fly? The two eventually made it back to the herd, seeing two young foals about Diamond's side, and seeing that the only ones left were now Evander and Dreamcloud, Diamond included. Sepsis sniffed at the colt, he smelled nothing like the herd, where did he come from? She left these questions unatended and took a spot on a rather soft patch of soil, grazing as Moonstruck nursed.*

Diamond looked up to see Sepsis, sniffing Storm. Knowing that Sepsis wouldn't hurt Storm, she returned herself back to the grass munching on it sweetly. Storm continued to nurse hungerily, not bothering to stop Sepsis who was sniffing him. Jewel pulled away from nursing, closing her eyes her nostrils starting to flare before leeting out a small sneeze, sending her to back a few steps, getting unsteady and fall. She laid down on the ground shaking her little head softly. Jewel slowly arched her legs out and did her best to try and stand up before walking back over to her dam, making Diamond chuckle and nuzzled Jewel after seeing the scene. Jewel looked happily up at her mother, turning her attention back to getting full, starting to go back to nursing. She was still uneasy of this new colt who had joined her family but allowed him to nurse with her.

Kipcha turned her head to watch the foals, both eagerly nursing. The colt swished his short tail and paused, looking towards Ghost. He neighed, unsure of his father and took a wobbly step towards him, managing to keep his balance. Kipcha smiled and nickered encourageingly at her foal. "Go on little prince meet your father." She looked to the filly who was still greedily eating, not paying attention to anything around her.

*Among the small chatter of voices Dreamcloud slowly woke up, lifting her head to see two foals nursing at Diamond's side, and to find Kipcha and Ghost gone.*
Where did they go? Kipcha and Ghost..
*She looked at Evander who was awake but still next to her there in the warm grass. The land warmed easily now that spring had come. Dreamcloud seemed to be seeing foals everywhere, and never realized how much it made herself feel motherly yet alone. She considered the white stallion who had gotten Sepsis pregnant, but knew that was out of the question, she was Ghost's mare and shouldent be running off to have a foal by another stallion. She sighed in a hopeless sort of voice and rolled over, stretching one front leg to lay her head on.*
*She looked up at the wide, vast sky, mottled with clouds as white as Moonstruck's tail, she thought about alot of things during what seemed like hours of just staring into the sky, watching the clouds. She wondered if her sire and dam missed her, she wondered if Hevan had changed any since she was stolen from there, she though about leaving Earth and flying back to her home, but then realized that she could not leave her herd and it would take her whole life to find that cloud again, she thought about the members of her own herd then, where did everyone come from? How did they get here? Who had created Diamond? Ghost? Evander? She then wondered who her own dam and sire were, she had never really known them, being so young when she left. She wondered if they had ever had any other foals, she then wondered what it would be like to be a stallion, she wondered what it would be like to sire a foal and to watch over a herd, she lifted her head and sat upright, looking towards the cave. She wondered if Ghost had ever had any foals before these, and what about Evander?*
*She then looked to the stallion that lay beside her, feeling shy to ask such an odd question.*
Evander..Have you ever had any foals or a herd of your own?

Ghost smiled and encouraged his colt, nickering softly. "Prince....that's so fitting for him. Kipcha, how about Prince for the colt?" He asked her, glancing up at her, then back down at his boy. He flared his wings and touched his muzzle to the colt's , nuzzling his lightly.
Evander looked down at Dreamcloud, a bit startled by the question, but he quickly regained his calm composure. "Me? No, never. Mares usually tend to shy away from me..." He said quietly.
