Nebride stopped and cocked her head to the side. She could here Gren. "nebride, we'll be there in about 30 minutes. but you gotta let us in."
"Gren is on her way---and she's bringing Togan with her."

he looked around it was a nice cosy house.
he had heard the towns peoples whispers.
it made him realize what he had done to many other people.
"its very nice" he said looking at the various items she had in the house

"That was from my mother." Nebride said as Gwendar picked up a beautiful silver mirror. "She said that it would help me see inside myself in times of great need. She was right."
She took the mirror from Gwendar and set it down gently. "What is it Gwendar? What's the matter?"

togan and i walked in silence. it was rather uncomfertable. normally i enjoyed the quiet but this time. . . it just felt wierd.

Nebride sighed as she walked ove to Gwendar. She gently sat down in his lap and leaned her head against his chest. "Don't worry Gwendar--they'll get used to you being here. Besides, they'll realize what they are doing. They'll realize that they're doing to you what people do to us when they do see us."

then a thought popped into his head.
"jane told me that an elf only ever stays with one man" he said
"she also told me that if i was going to leave i should go now" he said slightly uncomfortable.

"She did what?" Nebride sat up to look Gwendar in the face. She sighed when she saw the look on his face; he looked scared. Nebride gently caressed his face. "I know you wouldn't leve--I hoped you wouldn't. I didn't tell you about our...tradition...because I did not want to scare you away."

"Nebride im not a rich man......and my past isnt exactly spotless." he hesitated wondering if now would be the right time to ask.
"but im sure about this.....and i know what it is that i want."
he hesitated again. he was sure he just needed to choose the right words.
"and i know that we havnt known each other long .........but i know that i want you with me for the rest of my life"
he kneeled....as what was customary.
"i dont have a ring.....but will u marry me?"

Nebride looked down at Gwendar in shock. "Marraige? He just asked me to marry him? I can't believe it!" She cleared her throat she saw that Gwendar was beginning to get antsy waiting for her answer. Perhaps he thought she didn't want to marry him. "No."
Nebride knelt down next to Gwendar, which was customary with her people. "I know you are not a rich man, and neither of our pasts are spotless. We may not have known each other long, but I've known--since the moment that I healed you that day in the woods, that I wanted to be with you."
She smiled at him. "I don't care if you have a ring or not. Gwendar---I will marry you."
((yay!! happy! and this is where I leave you...i have to go to bed. We'll continue later!"))
