@JK: That sounds like a friggin sweet hoodie! Oh wow, but of course there would be a band by that name already. XD
@Morgey: Eek, sounds painful. o.o And yes, how dare your roomie have asthma. XD Though a lot of my friends who smoke have to go outside and close the door when I'm over... I feel bad, but I'm sure I'd feel worse if I stopped breathing. ^^;;
@JK: Oh, that is quite ironic. XD I still find it strange that it's illegal to smoke under 18 though. It just doesn't seem to be mentioned or regulated at all. I could never do monkey bars. XD I was always more of a 'swing really high until you can jump off' kid. And I think it's more taboo here in the US to smoke and drink at early ages. Like someone smoking at 11 here (or even drinking for the most part) seems insane.

@Morgey - Yea it's weird with my dad, b/c he's been in AA most of my life so I don't know him as a drinker at all, but I just know about his speckled past and it's just odd. @Kits - It does, I really like that slogan, it seems cliched and cheesy, but yea, whatever. Haha, well they aren't a big band at least, I had to go do a search for them, maybe their will be a bigger Blind Panic one day ^_~. No offense to them but I don't see them becoming very big. It would be really hard to card for smoking all the time, since a lot of 18 - 25+ year olds can pass for under 18 (such as myself). Also a lot of illegal under aged activity is more likely to be discovered when they do something idiotic, like with drinking, when they get a DUI. Smoking might not smell all that great and may impair your lungs or kill you, it's not going to impair your motor functions or judgment. If it is going to make you do something stupid, you aren't as likely to give yourself away. My elementary school originally had 3 playgrounds. The main for all, the 3rd and under, and the 4th and up. The 4th and up had the swings. When I was in 3rd, the 4th and up playground was mostly dismantled to put in portables. Some parts where combined with the main playground, that did not include the swings. So I could swing at the park down the street from my house after school, however it was not a recess activity as I didn't have swings available to me. So monkey bars it was. I still think I woulda have preferred monkey bars, I liked to climb onto of everything when I was little. If I ever did anything else it was tether-ball, and four square (though I didn't get into that until about 5th grade). Other countries don't have the same health regulations we do. Other countries also have better health care, so what do they care if they destroy their lungs or livers? However as far as drinking goes, wine is more culturally served as a beverage and not with the purpose of being an intoxicant. They don't drink to abuse the way we do, don't do as many stupid things as we do, so making it illegal isn't quite as necessary. And since smoking came up: Smokers Lounge Hehe...sorry Morgey, but I love the detail in the mural. I think if I smoked I'd find it funny, or course I also tend to find death morbidly amusing, so perhaps I'm just weird like that.

Most bands don't end up becoming big; I doubt they'd take offense. True that. Plus with how many people smoke in public, it would be awkward going to anyone who looked under eighteen and carding them. Most people think I'm still in high school. XD;; Oh, your school sounds like it had a pretty cool setup. Mine was kind of fail. We had two playgrounds, one for the kindergartners, and one for... everybody else. Yup, kindergartners got a whole playground to themselves, and everyone else had to share. Well, until you got to sixth grade that is, in which case you were 'too big' to go on the playground and were only allowed in the asthma-attack causing field or the swings, so makes sense why I was really into the swings. XD;; It was the only place I could go. Ah, yes. Far less alcoholics and more casual drinkers, it seems. Oh, that's a rather clever mural. XD Kind of sad though.

I pass for HS as well. Actually what was really spectacular, was a few years ago when I went to a museum, I was 20. The woman asked me if I was 12 or 13 (trying to figure out if I was the 12 and under price or not). I went with my mom too, so bah! Usually if I'm with people my own age I don't get pegged as THAT young, but when I'm with my mom, all the time. I guess it's easier to see me that way when I'm with an adult.
Oh yea, our K's had their own playground too. The K one was just up the hill (the rest were down the hill, other than the portables all the classes were up the hill and the blacktop, fields, playgrounds were all at the base), fenced in with their classrooms. No K's were escaping!! Hahaha. We had a rather nice expanse though I have to say. And after the playgrounds were merged anyone could go wherever whenever. Though I never went over the far playground, just the main. We also had a wall for wall ball, then there were the hopscotch and four square and tether-ball courts. Then there was the whole wide expansive field. Which was my favorite place because from 3rd - 5th the entire things were being seeded over or whatever, so we couldn't touch them at all. So other than maybe a four square break, I spent as much time playing soccer as I could after that. We also had poles that had nets go up for volleyball or tennis, but those were PE activities and the nets weren't there for recess.
It is sad, but interesting.

I'm a little disturbed that I find that picture oddly soothing. I think it's because it makes me feel like I'm lying down and looking at the sky, which is always nice. Which I think isn't the point it's trying to make.
I only tend to get IDed when I'm wearing a hoodie. And the cashiers tend to be rude as well, obviously expecting me to be rude first and it's SO DIFFICULT to just wait and see what my attitude is like first. But otherwise, it's pretty rare.

I find it soothing too!! I mean yes I get the message, but it does also have a relaxing peaceful quality to it. It's one of a bunch of mural photos my mom sent me, one was of this bathroom floor that is painted to look like it has no floor. It's just a sky shot thousands of miles up (complete with little man falling down towards Earth in the distance). The effects are pretty nifty.

It feels like a dream.
As in, it feels all swoopy, not as in zombies.

I like how we now automatically associate dreaming with zombies in this guild, and have to specify if referring to otherwise.
@JK: That's kind of depressing. XD;; Worst that happens to me is that I get carded often to see R movies or buy spray paint, and also once I was at a garage sale after classes on a weekday, and the person having it asked me all scoldingly if I was supposed to be in school, I just told them I was a university student and they seemed to get the message. Wow, sounds like a kickass elementary school. XD I think we also had a basketball court, but it was scary in there with all the big kids about to trample you, so I never went in there.
@Morgey: Honestly, the people just staring down at you in the picture make me far more uncomfortable than the grave aspect. They were the first thing I noticed, and thought at first that they were supposed to be a bunch of people watching you disapprovingly as you smoked, then noticed the dirt after a few moments and got the joke. XD Wow, sounds like a pretty morbid hoodie, to make people automatically assume you're rude. ^^;;
@JK: I've seen that bathroom one before. XD Love the pipes going off the view especially.

=D
I didn't even notice the people. It is quite creepy looking at it like that. =[
And the hoodie is just plain red. It amuses me how I can be treated perfectfully respectfully if dressed the way I usually do, but the moment I put on a hoodie, people seem to assume I'm going to rob them and insult their mother while doing it. I don't even use the hood, so ... yeah.
Hey, I haven't been nosy, and this must be rectified. What're you studying?

Haha, loving that as well. Everytime I dream from now on I'm going to preface it with "no zombies last night but..."
@Kits - Oh we had basketball courts too, again on the blacktop, no "in there." Also at 5'5 I'm very mid range in height now, however being 5 - 5'3 pretty much from 4th grade on made me one of the "scary big kids" trampling people, haha, not that I tried to do that. It's just there weren't many kids taller than me until middle school (when they all kept growing and I stayed around what used to be a freakishly tall height). But yea the blacktop and fields took up more of the school grounds than the actual classes did, it was rather nice indeed.
Over Christmas I bought my dad Ingourious Basterds...I got carded at Walmart for it. I mean seriously, you only have to be 17 for rated R movies, so she thought I was significantly under that. Furthermore, who cards for DVDs?!? I mean in theaters is one thing, but DVDs?!? Come on! The sad thing, after Walmart I went to Bevmo to get a present for my friends party the following evening. I did NOT get carded there. I can't buy a rated R DVD, but vodka, sure, bring it on! There is definitely something wrong with you America!!!
I love those pipes too!!!
@Morgey - See I like the people, I feel like they are there for me. I worry that people won't bother coming to my funeral. I guess the other reason graves aren't so morbid for me is that I plan to be cremated. Burials are a waste of space, on are already over crowded planet. So there won't ever be a grave for me to be looked down on in.

It is funny. =D Now we have to write a song for the guild that's actually about zombies.
I actually managed to have a dream with no zombies in it the other night. surprised I was driving round in a car with David Tennant. 8] I know that really belongs in the dreams thread, but I don't feel like interrupting you guyses conversation to announce that. But yay, my brain did something nice for me for once.
My friend got IDed trying to buy a 15 DVD. This was a while ago, but it's still funny. I've no right to make fun though, I got angry trying to buy Rizlas with no ID. >=[
I worry the same about my funeral, so *Hug*. But that's a nice plan.
See, you're considerate, considerate people are rare so of course you will be missed. =D
Either of you (or any lurkers that happen to be around) watched 'Don't Call Yugi Wack'? I can't stop. o.o
And oh wow, there's a Thomas the Tank Engine version.

AHH! I was about to reply to this all later because I'm supposed to be working on apps and such now, but then I saw you mention the Wack video, and now I have to reply.
Hahaha, omg yes, I couldn't stop watching either!!! I completely meant to bring it up a few days ago but I suppose something distracted me. I mean the song is ridiculous, but, I dunno, it's a very addictive loop (well, I watch it like a loop, over and over again). I almost turned it off after the first 5 seconds but I'm glad I didn't, because shamefully I must admit I rather love it so.
Thomas the Tank Engine version? Ok now I'm really afraid, but curiosity will probably prompt to me to look for that later.
You can always interrupt other conversations, especially since the conversations are half the time off topic anyhow, hahaha. Good to hear a zombie free night for once, and yes, we'll definitely have to think about a theme for this guild. Apparently being plagued by zombies is a common occurrence amongst YGO fans...^_~
Every time I think of funerals I think of Tom Sawyer. Everyone thought he was dead and he ended up attending his own funeral, not aware at first that it was his own. He's then all touched that everyone is sad and crying, because he's often usually in trouble, "they love him after all." It's morbidly sweet.

@Morgey: Oh, but plain red hoodies are the best! Reminds me of these guys; they're a group of NPCs that work for the 'bad guys' in the really awesome game The World Ends with You. They always wear hoodies, and the ones in red are the lower level ones; they're kind of strange though, because they work for the villains, but often end up assisting you, as long as the villains want them to. It's all a game. Er, anyway, back on topic. Wow, even with the hood down? Just sounds like a warm look to me. Hoodies are pretty common in the US though, so maybe it's not looked down on here... yeah, like trench coats are looked upon as suspicious in warmer places like where I live, but in New York and such, almost everyone wears them. Guess it just depends on your surroundings. I'm studying art, though plan to take a lot of Japanese as well once I have room for electives. ^^ @JK: I'm gonna hold ya to that. wink Guess there wasn't so much 'in there' for us either; it was just a raised portion of cement that was between the walkway and the field, and was all caged in with basketball hoops, but it was still outside; just had a cage fence around it. I was always pretty short except for in sixth grade when I hit a growth spurt. Then I was taller than most girls, but then they all hit their growth spurts in seventh, and I was back to average/somewhat short. I'm 5'5" now as well though. Wow, I've never been carded for DVDs. XD Once for a video game, but that's it. I think carding really depends more on who's working the register than the actual system though. I don't want to be buried either. First and foremost because of the space thing also, but then the thought of being stuck underground rotting creeps me out as well. Being burned into ashes? Not so much, for some reason. @Morgey: Well in that case, maybe I'll just revamp the guild to be "Kage no Zombi: For everything YUU*GI*OU and Zombies." Catchy, ne? XD Yeah, you really can interrupt whenever you want. We welcome additions to conversation. ^^ I saw Yuugi is Wack, and it was funny, but I was good just watching it once. The one I got really addicted to was "I Can Be Your Villain Baby." XD @JK: Half the time we're all topic? I'd say more like 85% of the time... ^^;; I never read Tom Sawyer, but was quite fond of Huckleberry Finn. Sawyer was kind of annoying in it though.
