Rhaim watched as the first of the two major wounds on the small dog began to actually close up quite nicely. Though they were major to the tiny animal they would have only been minor cuts on someone even of the boy's small stature. However the difficulty was still probably about the same given that there were more vital tissue and nerve endings that also had to be repaired for the small animal. The which was interesting for the teen to watch happen to the creature as his mind focused on doing it with his chakra. Considering how much control over his chakra he needed just to perform his clan techniques it came as no surprise to the doctor that the boy was able to handle using the technique so well in such a short amount of time. The boy held his mind solely on the treatment of the wound as he neared closing up the hole in the canine.

Rhaim finished up his work on the first of the two main injuries on the small dog and moved on to the second one. It was only slightly smaller than the first but the boy's focus was improving a bit so it would likely go quicker and give him plenty of time to heal up the minor bruises and burns throughout it's body. The which was only a concern to the teen since the doctor felt that his progress was much faster than most of those that he taught the technique to. The man had been close enough to the Nara for a while and had decided that he was definitely a bit too well developed to still be a low level Genin. There had to be a reason that he hadn't been promoted yet and attributed that to his attitude and age. However if the boy could be persuaded to pursue the medical arts more seriously he could likely become a Chuunin easily while not given any real duties in charge of a mission.

Rhaim had lost focus as he moved from the first major wound to the second and in the process had ceased the flow of his chakra. The teen let out a short snort through his nostrils as he expected the old man behind him to give him a whack on the head. He did not however receive such a thing since the man had expected something like that to happen the first time around anyhow. The young shinobi didn't dwell on the failure though and started up the chakra flow again to continue his work on the technique. If he was able to learn such a niche useful ability he would probably be put back on active missions in no time. He wasn't exactly a close quarters fighter and he wasn't exactly a good long ranger combatant either. All that he was really good for so far was as an extra body to carry supplies and watch blind spots. Even his clan specific techniques were too narrowed in their usage to get him to see much action.

Rhaim managed to keep his focus on his second round of his first attempt at the second wound that the small dog had sustained prior to him and Felix coming across it. The thing was definitely healing up in a faster manner as he used his chakra to straighten out the damaged tissue so that the site was orderly for him to put it back together. It was odd that he could almost feel the circulation of the blood of the animal through his own chakra as he worked on it. Though that was still only a side thought to his ideas of becoming something of a dedicated medic-nin. That was a specialty that was always needed on missions and very few people had any talent or knowledge in. Even with what little the Nara knew, the Minor Chakra Heal would be enough to make him a commodity worth having around. It would take time for him to become someone worth requesting though.

Rhaim was progressing through the wound at a rapid pace and would soon be completed with the treatment of the small animal. Most of the vessels, veins, and muscle had been fully repaired, leaving only skin and nerves to be dealt with. The latter of which the young boy did very little work with since he wasn't that familiar with that part of the body. Plus that just seemed like such a fine tuned thing that if he messed that up he would end up doing more harm than good. Actually fixing the wounds was all that he figured he needed to do and so that was all he focused on accomplishing. Meanwhile the old doctor stood behind him watching the work closely, pleased with how the young ninja was doing with the task. He also noticed that Rhaim had not made any outward complaints about the half dozen coffee beans sitting in his mouth.

Rhaim had finished healing up both major wounds on the small animal and was ready to move on to the minor bruises and burns that it had across the entirety of its' body. Despite the fact that he knew it would be best for his training if he brought the animal to the best possible condition that he could, he didn't care about it as much as he cared about mastering the minor chakra heal technique as a whole. Thus the boy made quick work of the injuries so that the creature would be able to get up and about that same day and be fully recovered within a week if it didn't try to rest up. Given that the man behind him made no protest to the half-hearted work that he was putting in, the Nara called it done on the small dog.

Rhaim stepped back from the small dog once he finished up with the last of the random small injuries that it had. The old man behind him tapped him on the shoulder and then led the boy on to an adjacent room that held the medium sized dog that Felix had defeated that had been defending the the pack of wounded animals in the woods. It's wounds from the fight with the other Genin had been much larger and were more difficult for the young shinobi to work on. The doctor explained that the progression of difficulty would prove whether or not he was ready to start work on human beings. The Nara teen stepped up to the challenge eager to heal the medium sized dog only so that he could move on with the training. He felt no affinity or malice towards the animal on the bed.

Rhaim could tell that the increased wound size caused him to naturally have to thin out his surface area of the chakra he was using and thereby used up a bit more chakra. This was odd to the boy and did not go unnoticed to the old doctor behind him either. The man explained that more complex injuries would naturally use more chakra to be worked on with actually working on people being the most taxing since it was more complex with the chakra system to worry about as well. Though it wasn't something that the medic ninja had to often worry about since most weren't trained on how to deal with an injured chakra flow, it would still cause a hindrance to the healing ability since it would try to reject the chakra being forced in by the medic. This actually all made sense to the teen as he continued his work on the medium sized dog.

Rhaim was starting to fall into a sort of groove with his use of the healing technique on the medium sized dog. Though he had only just begun to use the ability it was not seeming to be difficult to him in any way. The old man knew however that as soon as he came to a human patient the ease would come to a grinding halt. Though he still believed that the child possessed an exceptional talent as a medic, he was still new to the profession and should not be given too much credit. Rhaim however had no such thoughts as he considered all use of chakra control to be the same and had no had to worry about medical knowledge yet. It was one thing to work on wild dogs and another thing entirely to work on a real person with a working chakra system.

Rhaim pressed on through the task of healing the medium sized canine as the older doctor stood over his shoulder to ensure that he didn't get too complacent. The teen didn't think that he was getting complacent and indeed he wasn't as he simply held a feeling of indifference as to the state of the dog. If it died due to medical malpractice from what he was doing to it he would not be worried about it in the least. As far as he was concerned he could simply go out and beat up another animal in order to practice healing it. The cruelty of which was entirely lost on the Nara given that he held the condition of the village above all else. And since his own strength was only for the good of the village, any sacrifice he made for his own strength was in turn for the strength of the village. That being said he wasn't about to go out and destroy the ecosystem needlessly.

Rhaim had completed closing up the worst of the wounds on the larger creature but was still a way from being complete. Even though he could definitely feel the toll on his chakra pool from how much he was working, he was confident that he had enough to finish his training without having to rest. The which was noticed by the old man who considered conservation of chakra to be one of the most important aspects of medical ninja. He did not however voice this to the young shinobi still working on the medium sized dog laid out on the bed. The young Nara had obviously come to a comfortable level with the use of the jutsu and would likely be ready soon to progress on to a real person. The heavy concentration of chakra in his hands reminded him of the clan techniques in that it worked its way around inside of the wound, but it also was similar to chakra water walking in that it regulated his flow more than usual.

Rhaim's use of the technique on the dog was still a bit around the edges but was held in check by raw forceful control of his chakra. The which was to the benefit of the animal that he held his hands above. The teen couldn't help but crack a mental smile at the idea that due to the fact that he was using chakra to heal the creature it would greatly reduce the cost of buying gloves. It would also mean that he wouldn't need to worry about doing as much laundry since he wouldn't be getting his clothes covered in blood all of the time. He also considered that there were a great many other tools and medicines that he would need to carry with himself to be an effective medic. The which would be made easier once he could master the Tobidogu that he had already started work on. Though the original intent of the sealing had been just to cut down on the weight of what he had to carry, being able to become a mobile aid station in and of himself seemed much more appealing.

Rhaim made no attempt to stop his thoughts of how much more useful he could be to a team with the ability to carry large stores of medical supplies and be able to use them correctly. His hands hovered side by side over the still wounded animal with chakra slowly working its way through the affected area. Even though his chakra control was high for his age, his control over medical jutsus was near nonexistent and therefore he wasn't very quick about his healing abilities. Despite wanting to be a useful medic to a team, he wasn't about to dedicate countless hours and days studying in the hospital to be as good as the doctor behind him. He still had much work to do on his clan jutsus if he wanted to have any hope of continuing to be fed at home. The teen knew that his days of being supporting by his parents were numbered and would only last longer if he showed himself a useful member of the clan.

Rhaim was nearly completed with the task of healing the wounds on the medium sized dog. His eyes and his mind drifted back on focus with the animal in an attempt to ensure that he didn't botch it up. The only one dictating how much longer he had to be in the hospital learning the technique was really himself. Depending on how quickly he managed to heal the dog and then complete whatever was left with the training, he could conceivably be done that very day. The which was quite the concept for the boy as he watched the injuries slowly subside and the blood flow return to the canine's flesh. The whole time the older doctor still stood behind him keeping a close eye on everything that was done to see if the young Nara was truly ready to progress onward with the medical training.

Rhaim finished up his work on the medium sized dog and turned back around to face the doctor. All at once the taste of the coffee beans in his mouth seemed to hit him and remind him how much he didn't like having them there. Since he figured that the man wouldn't get too upset with eating them the teen swallowed one of the bitter objects. After all it had been some time since he had placed the first one into his mouth. The old doctor meanwhile gave the dog a once over look before deciding that the young Genin Nara was ready to move on to the final portion of the training for the minor chakra heal. With that in mind he led Rhaim out of the canine's room and down several halls until they were back in the main portion of the hospital again.
Before long them found themselves in front of a room that the doctor explained as having a ninja that was recently wounded while on patrol. Since the squad that the soldier was in had no medic he had to be immediately sent to the hospital. Once the information dump was complete the boy went into the room to begin his work on the other shinobi.
