Things seem to be settling down, just seeing the Healers in action has soothed some of the more antsy folk, though everyone continues to move around quickly, trying to get medical attention to those in the most need of it.
Ray yelps as an ear-splitting roar fills the air right over her head. She clutches at P'las in alarm, looking up to see that bronze weyrling hovering over her head. The girl on his back shouts something, but even right under her, Ray can't understand a word she's saying.
The crowd turns to look at the dragon, but then identifying him as a Weyrling, they dismiss him and resume their babble.
Wrath, tell those two to land. Now. If I'd wanted a dragon to roar for attention, I'd have had you do it. I may not be Weyrlingmaster anymore, but I still have my knife and a penchant for weyrlinghide riding leathers!
Wrath makes an amused sound in Ray's head. Sure thing. They are trying to help, but I agree that they aren't terribly effective just yet. I'll do my best to sound stern and irritable when I pass it along.
Ray sighs.
Shadill smiles at her, "Ah, children. Such a delight. I shall go bang heads for you, and I'll let you know if I run into your friend." Ray nods wearily, and the Headwoman turns and limps away.

Once he'd felt more-or-less stable, Kya had begun helping what injured folk he could find. Most people were just a bit stunned and confused, but there were many people with injuries, had some trouble talking to a few of them, trying to figure out what was wrong. After a while, some Healers started taking charge, so he'd been helping them--holding down people while their bones were set, running errands, and hoping for word of his friends.
Nimakio actually proved himself useful, for once in his short life. When Kya began to enter a storage room, looking for something that could be used as a blanket, the flit had attacked, chasing him away. Shortly afterwards, a slight rumble had caused the storage room's ceiling to give way.
Now he was having the flit inspect every storage room that was open to the Weyrbowl, and was hauling out anything that might be useful. He'd recruited some of the drudges to help clear each storage room more quickly.
None of the flits would let anyone enter the larger tunnel entrances, not even the one that led outside the Weyr, but the storage rooms, which held everything from emergency medical supplies, which was normally used during Threadfall, to firestone, to barrels of wherhide scraps. Whatever it was, however, he took it outside in case it might be needed.

"i knew this was a bad idea Riz, why'd you drag me into this?"
you said yourself we had influence since i was bronze
"i didn't mean it that way! i wish we were far from here"
T'thia mentally groaned in embarrasment and the first place that came to mind was the lake far from the wyre where she and Riz had flown to during their formation peak lesson. before she knew it she fealt the biting cold of between and then she saw the lake below her
"Riz! we were not authorized to leave the wyre! especially not by betweening!"
but you did not want to be there, you wanted to be here. so here we are
T'thia sighed. she had done as much help and damage at the wyre as she could. she might as well stay at the lake for the day. She was exhousted from the efforts of drawing on every bit of little healer knowldge she had, as well as going between so many times. Lira appeared im front of her as she dismounted. the little gold curled herself around T'thia's neck as the girl sat down and leaned against Arizath

Wrath snorts, somewhat miffed. Those two need more discipline, she tells Ray. They think they know more than they know; Arizath just went between with unclear coordinates, after I told him nicely to land. They went to one of the mountain lakes.
Ray sighs at her dragon's report. You know, tattling isn't very polite Wrath.
So? It's my job as a Queen to be a professional snoop. And they do need more discipline, they get away with too much since most of the other Weyrlings from their group have transferred out or been held back.
Right, right. I'll deal with those two later, or have someone else deal with them. For now, tell Arizath that he is not to leave the ground until he is called back or someone is sent for him. How are you doing?
Well. Pericolath is nice. Nakoreth says that K'makin is doing well, he's helping clear storage sheds.
Ray nods, one worry off her mind.

as T'thia sat caressing Lira in her lap she stared at the water in the lake. she had been thinking very hard about all the times she had stepped out of line, over crossed boundaries, fronted more authority then she had. she had grown far to confident in the past two turns, she had forgotten how she used to be. Timid and iscolative. she sighed deeply but suddenly a cold fear gripped her stomach
"what if we get kicked out of the wyre Riz? we've over stepped boundries far too many times."
T'thia groaned at the thought of being expelled from the wyre before even reaching full rider. if she had at least her riders knotts then she could lend her services at a hold or hall, but she was just a wyreling. Arizath crooned comfortingly and the fear in T'thia's stomach turned to anger
"Riz i'm sick of it! i'm tired of being nothing but a wyreling. we don't even have lessons anymore! we've been self training for near a full turn now! and we're the only one's left of our class! the wyreling barracks is so over run i'm sleeping outside on the ledge with you!"
T'thia had stood up when she went into her tirade and when she was finished she threw her arms up in defeat
"if we do get kicked out of the wyre at least we can find a place to sleep. We both deserve a wyre of our own by now! i'm sick of dealing with the odd stares i get in the barracks. i'm not T'thia there, i'm the girl who impressed a bronze! somthing people might find prestigious but no! they taunt the shards out of me!"
T'thia couldn't help tears sprang forward and she slupped down next to Arizath again and burried her face in his shoulder as she cried out her frustration and pain she had held in from the time of her impression.

P'las blinked as Ray suddenly offered the little blue, who was happily munching on some food, to him. Startled, he glanced at the flit, then shrugged. "Sure. Beats having to find one later.." Grinning he scooped the little critter up, making sure to continue to stuff food into its maw.
The man jumped as a near-mature bronze bugled overhead. His jumping caused the little blue to cling tightly to the man's hand, which almost made the bronzerider yell out in pain. Shells this was all chaos.
As soon as the little blue ate enough and fell asleep, P'las looked at Ray. "Do you think it's still safe here? Peri's terrified of me going back into the Weyr and the flits seem to feel the same way..."

Wrath, Fort is coming. Mine would but she's egg heavy... There was an aplogetic note to Glith's voice at that. Get all the uninjuried and usless people and we'll take them to Fort and out of your way.

A rather large blue appeared out of between over Benden Weyr. Kerth circled slowly overhead, trying to find a large enough spot for him to land. He and his rider watched the chaos below, the moans of dragons whose riders had been injured reaching their ears.
Kerth, love. Tell Wrath we're here. Perhaps she can tell us where to land.
Wrath? Kerth and R'ign of Fort are here to help move people back to Fort. Where should I land?

Nearby another blue, much smaller in size, appeared from between. Aoki almost sighed in relief when she saw Kerth and R'ign were here too. At least there was someone she knew who could tell her what had happened. She waved to them and looked around. This wasn't at all what she had expected.
"Tell them we're here Lyedarith and ask them if we can help at all." Aoki murmured wincing at the sounds of injured dragons and people, "I think the Weyrwoman here is Rayinte and her dragon's name is Wrath."
Lyedarith and Aoki of Fort are here to help if we can. What do you need us to do?

"I don't know," Ray tells P'las. She's about to continue when Wrath relays a message from Glith. "But Fort's offered to evacuate those able to be moved, and we can probably rig up something so that those who can't be moved can be... well ... made comfortable until they are able to be taken out of here. We can probably put some of the non-dragonriders up at Benden Hold for a while."
Several dragons appear from between, announcing themselves to Wrath. Just land wherever you can find enough room, she tells them. Start finding people who aren't doing anything, and tell them that you are evacuating them to Fort Weyr.
Wrath turns her attention back to Rayi. The Weyrleaders from Telgar said they will send in Miners from the Minercrafthall, and some of their bronzes will be bringing in Watchwhers. Where should they land?
Ray thinks about that a moment. Tell most of them to wait until more of the people have been moved out by Fort, they can land here in the Weyrbowl to make sure no one is trapped in the main caverns and tunnels. But right now, we need to make sure the Tunnel to the outside is cleared and secured, so an initial group can be sent to start work on that, they can land outside the Tunnel exit on the other side.
Wrath passes that on.

Kerth thanked Wrath, then spiraled lower. Eventually, people that were milling around noticed the dragons in the air and moved to give them some room. The blue dragon landed, leaving enough space for Lyedarith as well.
Mine, we're supposed to find people who aren't doing anything and take them back to Fort.
Okay...
R'ign dismounted and looked around. Shells, this place was chaos! Once they moved some of the people out, hopefully it would calm down some. The bluerider gestured to nearby people who were gawking at the dragons. "If you are not a healer, are uninjured, or don't have an errand to do here, please move forward. We're relocating you to Fort Weyr until the situation here is under control. Please remain calm and orderly. We'll make as many trips as we need to make to move you all safely."
~~~~~~~~
P'las sighed, then noticed several other dragons landing in the Weyrbowl.
From Fort. They're moving the unneeded people.
The man felt relieved that the panicky people would be moved and the healers would be able to do their jobs more effectively.
Above all of the caos a deep brown dragon appeared from between. Tetoneth hovered above Benden Weyr watching those below move about. The cries of dragons who's riders were injured made J'quaz wince the cries of a dragon always caused pain for him.
Tetoneth tell the Benden Weyrwoman we are here and will be helping to move the uninjured. Tetoneth nodded and reached out for Wrath.
Golden Queen Wrath, I Tetoneth and mine J'quaz are here from Fort to help in whatever way we can.
Wrath repeats to Tetoneth what she had just told the other arrivals; Please take anyone who is uninjured and not doing anything to Fort.
Ray leans on a stick she aquired somewhere... did someone give it to her? She can't quite recall, things had been so hectic! Earlier, people wouldn't stop talking to her, asking for instructions or something, talking over eachother to be heard, and now that organization was returning, nobody seemed to be needing her.
Treyla Ath slowly tired from all the flying and his distress. He settled down on the ground beside Treyla, crooning sorrowfully. He gently nudged her chest still crooning. He didn't know what else to do really.((Treyla's life is pretty much in your hands. Unconcious she can't do much of anything for herself sweatdrop )) ((Uncounscious eh? *grabs can of green spray paint and a hair gel* twisted ))The bustle had died down considerably after the Fort riders had mobilized the uninjured out of Benden. Tikal and her volunteered group of helpers (consisting of mostly unharmed drudges and cooks) continued transporting the wounded out in stretchers, both makeshift and those provided by the healers. There was considerably less noise as the crowd began to thin. In the calmness following the disaster, she recognized Treyla and Drakiana as the candidates she had seen earlier that day. Has it really only been hours since then? It felt like such a long time had passed. The entire Weyr was a mess. From afar she noticed that not even the weyrwoman had escaped unscathed. Glint and Lapis were off hunting their dinner she decided to check up on the girl Treyla. She noticed that the little firelizard was still crooning sadly. She looked about and saw a bowl of leftovers nearby. Grabbing a cold piece of meat, she sat down beside the sleeping girl, leaning her back against a nearby boulder. "Hey little guy," she spoke in a soothing tone, "don't worry, your master will be okay." She gently reached towards him and began to stroke the spot on his spine between his wings, she then offered him the meat. "You should eat. Otherwise when she wakes up she'll be mad we didn't take care of you."
Kya sits on a barrel, resting a moment. Most of the storage rooms and lower weyrs have been cleared, and the crowds have been taken away. He still feels light-headed, but the hard work has built up an appetite, something he didn't think he'd ever feel again after the way his stomach had complained earlier.
Hey Kya?
What?
Are you okay?
I think I am. Mostly. Why'd you ask?
Nakoreth doesn't respond right away. ... Well. I don't know. I just needed to check that you were okay. You are fine, right?
Yeah, I'm doing great. Just hungry and tired, and a bit ill from drinking too much.
Now that the crowds have thinned, he can see a familiar person bustling around. As she moves closer, he hops off the barrel and goes to greet her.
"Hi there Shadill," he says cheerfully. She turns and smiles back at him, a bit weakly.
"Oh, hello." She looks pretty worn out.
"Has anyone managed to prepare something to eat?"
"Not quite yet," she replies, shaking her head. "There are still injured folk to treat, and nobody's managed to find the time, or even a way to cook something. A few people managed to bring out some scraps, and others with flits have sent them into the kitchens, but they don't get much, and a lot of it's gritty. I'd gladly shovel dragonshit in exchange for a half-decent cup of klah."
Kya winces. "Shells, I'd do the same for a half-meatroll about now."
The headwoman nods absently. "Well, I'll ask Ray. The other Weyrs can be asked to send in food for those of us who are staying here for now."
That's a remarkably good idea. He wishes he'd thought of it himself... "That's a good idea. Anyways, I think I should check in on Nakoreth now, he mentioned something a moment ago that has me worried."
"All right then. Take care, K'makin." She turns and heads off in another direction.
"You too."
