Hey, I might be picking up the Sppace Marines as a secondary army soon, and I've had a look at the new trait system. I'm wondering if this is good for a divergant chapter.

Trait: Be as swift as the wind

Defect: Death before Dishonor.

Hm. That's pretty good. However, DO think of your points cost. The bikes that you'll be whoring will cut into your quantity of troops. Just something to recognise.

Personally, my marines are partially pre-heresy and so use:
Heed the wisdom of the ancients, purity above all, death before dishonour and eye to eye...
You see, a pre-heresy army would NOT include bikes or speeders, as they did not EXIST back then... so Eye to eye does NOTHING to me - wouldn't be fielding them either way. xd Death before dishonour also goes with the whole soviet russian theme my marines have. The purity above all gives me apothecaries in tac squads, and in so doing adds to the whole feel of preserving their beliefs and suchlike, while the ancients things allows me to whore dreadnoughts in memory of Bob. Whom is also a Dreadnought.

Can anyone tell me what legion the marine in black is? I'm thinking Ravenguard or Dark Angels seeing as they are all loyalists. But he could be an old school World Eater!

Judging from the chapter logo, I'd say a Blood Angel. The grey armoured marine could be a Lunar Shark and the other black armoured marine is an Ultramarine.

plus pre-heresy world eaters had white armor.

Lunar Shark? I've heard of the Space Sharks, but not the lunar sharks. And for some reason I can't see GW using them with the main legions. Its possible.

As far as I know the new pre-heresy World Eaters are white. The old school ones were black. Captain Stern's Index Astartes has them.

After some thought I'm thinking its a Salamander, a Blood Angel, an Ultramarine, and a Dark Angel, all pre-heresy of course. Still, there is room for doubt...

What in the name of the Emperor is a Lunar Shark? I never heard of them...

Silly me, they are: Dark Angel, Ultra Marine, Blood Angel and a Space Wolf, the four big chapters.

Fine Space Shark, Lunar Shark, who gives a crap. I remember them from long ago, back the heedy days of Rogue Trader. I don't see anybody questioning stupid names such as the Rainbow Warriors?

I was going to make a Rainbow Warriors army a while back. I still have my drawings of them. They actually had rainbow shoulder pads. 3nodding

This is what a Rainbow Warrior looks like according to US GW.

Awww, it even has the kawaii stripes running over the helmet, no wonder that they were almost wiped out by the Sisters of Battle.
