My name is Emilee.
I've been trying to learn simple phrases in Japanese by teaching myself, watching subtitled anime (lol), and reading a lot.
I'm hoping that when I transfer colleges in the Spring that I will be able to take Japanese language classes.
I want to learn all I can in the mean time.

It's nice to meet you! I am Taro. How are you, everyone?
I'm a Sophomore, and I have been studying for years. I am way better at understanding then speaking/typing at the moment, so please be patient with me. I am taking Japanese as a college class starting January. I hope to learn a lot here!

Hello everyone! You may call me wOrM for short, and I love Japan, especially their anime, music and food.
Joining this guild is my first step to learning Japanese. I've wanted to do so for a long time now, but it is only now that I've gotten serious about it. It is my dream to, at the very least, be able to speak and understand japanese fluently. I wish to visit Japan without needing an escort or a tour guide, so I will definitely need to learn the language! biggrin

I have been learning japanese for about a month now through japanesepod101.com, i don't know how to speak well, but it is a great program to learn fast how to speak.

Hello! My name is Ruth. Well, I started Japanese classes about a month ago at a Japanese University near where I live. I would say I am 12 but I'm not quite sure how. Watashi wa is I and twelve is Jyu ni =D. So I think it might be Watashi wa Jyu ni but I'm not sure xd

Konnichiwa and hello! My name is Ashley, but I go by Kai-chan. I'm the president of my high school's Japanese club, but we don't actually have a teacher who teaches the language at our school, so it's mostly a club that talks about the culture.

I'm learning through audiotapes, and I love Japan. (Manga, onigiri, RAMAN! What more could you ask for?) My highschool doesn't teach Japanese, so here I am!

Whew, finally! I applied to join this guild a couple of weeks ago, and it finally got accepted!
Anyway, I dunno if you guys use actual names on this forum or not, but I'll go ahead and say mine. My name is David. I'm African-American and I'm really interested in Japanese culture. I mainly like to learn about symbolism, proverbs, and Japanese war history. I've been trying to learn to speak Japanese for awhile, but I haven't found any good means to learn it. I(Obviously) love anime, and my favorite is a tie between Bleach and Elfen Lied. I only know certain bits and pieces of Japanese, and that's only because I've watched anime so much that you start to learn a little bit here and there.
Hopefully, I'll be able to learn Japanese from this guild, so I can teach my friends.
