Do you want to hear something absolutely disgusting? A very distant relative of mine, my aunt's sister-in-law, passed away last week. She was in her 80s and had a massive stroke. I never met her. My mom just told me that last week, someone broke into the funeral home, robbed it AND LOOTED HER CORPSE AS IT LAY IN THE COFFIN! eek They stole her wedding ring, a broach, and a gold necklace with a cross on it. Doesn't that automatically punch your ticket to hell if you do that? I found the news story: Douchebags punch their ticket to hell.

Things are getting busier at work. I've had to work the last 4 out of 5 Saturdays, and have been getting 45-50 hours a week. After all the layoffs, we are down to just a skeleton crew, so everyone is stressed with how much they have to do now. I asked my boss when we could start calling people back, and he said that we did 1 million dollars of business in February, but we still lost money. The higher-ups told him that our business would need to DOUBLE before we could start bringing people back. Double?! We're drowning as it is!

Great, just great. There was another round of layoffs today. This was the worst one yet. Four entire departments, about 7 people, got let go. Basically, our entire door production crew got let go. There is an order about a third of the way done still sitting on the line in the door shop, and no one left who knows how to finish it. :XP: The salesmen are upset over this "I have two big orders going Monday! Who is going to build them?!" No one seems to have an answer. Everyone just seems to be in a daze.
Four more people, including the #3 guy at our location got let go as well. My end saw...zero layoffs. I'm worried that it's because my boss was off today. The rumor is that there are 24 names on the list, and only 11 that I know of have been let go. I have a feeling in my gut that this is it for me. I'm off the next two days, so I'll have a job until Monday at least. sweatdrop
And yes, we are still very busy. gonk
