7....Roger Staubach--Tom Landry Cowboys' coach/quarterback tandem produced 4 Super Bowl appearances in 8-year span of 1971-78, with a pair of rings to show for it. That stretch of sustained excellence outweighs any claim that might be made on behalf of Jimmy Johnson n' Troy Aikman, whose 5-year relationship produced back-to-back Super Bowl titles for Dallas in 1992-93.

6....Don Shula--Bob Griese Dan Marino dominates both NFL n' Dolphins' record books for his passin' feats, but it was Griese who was under center when Shula won his two Super Bowl rings. 1971-73 Dolphins went to three consecutive Super Bowls, goin' 44-6-1 in that span, centerpiece of which was their 17-0 perfect season in 1972.

5....Terry Bradshaw--Chuck Noll These 2 didn't even particularly like each other for most of their early years together, but startin' with 1974, when Bradshaw was installed as Steelers' full-time No. 1 quarterback in midseason, Pittsburgh reeled off 4 Super Bowl wins in 6 seasons, which hasn't been equaled since.

4....Vince Lombardi--Bart Starr In 8-year span from 1960 to '67, Packers went to either NFL Championship or Super Bowl 6 times, winnin' their final 5 appearances. Packers remain only NFL team to win 3 consecutive league titles (1965-67), n' calm, cool-headed Starr was ideal trigger man to execute Lombardi's relentless quest for perfection.

3....Bill Belichick--Tom Brady Buildin' a dynasty in age of NFL's salary cap, Patriots have had these two as cornerstones. In so many ways, Brady is perfect quarterback for demandin' Belichick, playin' role of his on-field alter ego, n' in essence becomin' a coach in uniform. Brady is both smart n' instinctive, n' says n' does everythin' way Belichick wants.

2....Otto Graham--Paul Brown Goin' strictly by results, pairin' of Brown n' Graham in Cleveland has no peers. They were together for 10 years in pro football (4 in AAFC, 6 in NFL), n' went to championship game of their league every year, winnin' 7 times (4 in AAFC, 3 in NFL). Their 105-17-4 record in that decade seems unbreakable.

1....Joe Montana--Bill Walsh In their 10 seasons together {1979-88} in San Francisco, they won 3 Super Bowls n' made playoffs 7 times. But best part of their partnership was how Walsh drafted Montana in 3rd round in 1979 n' helped mold him from ground up. Montana was already a clutch quarterback when he arrived from Notre Dame. Playin' for Walsh, he became a great quarterback, n' game's preeminent performer in 1980s. Well....there it is, again give out some opinions on this n' let your voice be heard....i'll do another list next monday so I won't be doin' another until somewhere next year....see ya down the road

I think that Shanahan and Elway should be on there instead of Farve and Holmgren! yes, F&H were together longer, Elway and Shanahan won 2 Super Bowls together in 4 years and made the playoffs every year. (correct me if i'm worng!) Couldn't win one with Reed but won 2 with Shanahan!

Keepin' with our top 10 theme....i'll give ye top 10 worst offseason moves of the NFL this past offseason....again it's just a opinion-based n' if ye have any worse then speak ye mind.... 10--Titans sign Kerry Collins A bizarre turn of events led to Titans signin' veteran quarterback late in trainin' camp n' they quickly inserted him into starting lineup. They were unhappy with veteran Billy Volek n' thought rookie Vince Young wasn't ready. Collins, who never appeared that interested in resuscitatin' his career, started 1st 3 games of season n' threw 6 interceptions n' just 1 touchdown. Tennessee started out 0-3, before winnin' 6 of its next ten games with Young under center.

9--Patriots play hardball Pats have had a lot of success by maintainin' a strict fiscal policy. But lettin' veteran after veteran go might have caught up with them this season. They lost their top receiver Deion Branch after an ugly negotiation, n' quarterback Tom Brady lashed out at team. Now, Brady is on his way to having lowest passer ratin' of his career this year. Yes, New England is 10-4 n' will win AFC East, but that division is a joke this year, n' if Patriots were playin' like they should, they would have captured homefield advantage in AFC playoffs.

8--Vikings break bank for Steve Hutchinson Vikings gave Hutchinson a 7-year, $49 million contract, richest ever for a guard. Minnesota's run game has improved, but Hutchison has not been overly impressive, n' has even looked awkward n' stiff at times. Once again, Vikes have proven huge contracts do not translate into wins.
