Tommy grins. "Yeah superman doesn't have s**t on the batman," he said with a faux serious nod. "But yeah...this is my favorite movie of all time. It's like they tried to be scary in Evil Dead...tried to be campy in Evil Dead II...but then just gave the ******** up when it came to this gem." Tommy loved talking about movies, and this topic just made him grin.
"Name's Tommy, by the way...Tommy Christian," he says, obviously tipsy-leading to drunk.

"Yeah! It's awesome! I don't know about MY favorite but it's up there. And I TOTALLY agree, superman was a pansy and way too overpowered. He HAD to be gay, batman was just tortured." Lauren hadn't talked about comic characters and movies for quite some time, it felt nice to do so.
"I'm Lauren" She replied. "Lauren Granger, since we're being formal and all." Lauren did notice that he WAS tipsy, and now wished that she was as well, but she was suppose to be working, and didn't do that while under the influence. She did however make her own hours, so it didn't matter if she started goofing off right now watching Army of Darkness with a bat person.

Tommy nodded enthusiastically, "Oh yeah! Seriously...that goody two-shoes stint doesn't fool anyone...I can totally see him being a forder of butte creek," he said with a knowing nod, obviously not serious. "Batman though...s**t, he was hardcore...had to deal with guys like the Joker? Hell, no wonder he's the way he is."
The bat-man grins again. "Lauren, eh? Nice to meetcha, I'm Tomm...wait...heheheh, I already said that, didn't I? Goddamn, (at this point of inebriation, he could no longer refrain from giving out the joke he's been storing for so long) I must be gon' batty in my old age."

Lauren busted out laughing at all that Tommy said, "OH s**t! Tommy you are hilarious. I should of met you a LONG time ago. So is this where you hang out?" She said after catching a breath. It felt good to laugh, and all her friends around her were helping her feel better after her breakup with Nita so Lauren was all around chipper right now meeting another person that so quickly saw eye to eye with her, at least where media is concerned.

Tommy's grin just gets wider as he's complimented. "Damn straight I am," he nods, "but yeah...not too many like the whole 'nocturnal' lifestyle like I do...so I usually just sit here 'n watch movies." He nods a few more times while sipping on his packet of blood. "How 'bout yerself? How come I've never seen ya around before?"

Lauren made a face at the blood packet, but who was she to judge with her bug eating habits? "Well I've got my own flatscreen tv and hoard of movies, not as extensive as this but... it keeps my entertainment occupied." She flaunted. "So yeah I don't come here that often, and I'm usually more of a afternoon person than night person. Usually if I'm up at night, I'm at the beach."

Tommy's eyes go wide at the mention of a flatscreen tv, "Dayum, nice! I'm gonna have'ta get me one of those one of these days...*nodnod* Though by that time I'm 'prolly gonna have to hang it upside down." He laughs at the thought.
"Now...yeah...the beach is nice at night...easy on the ears, yaknow? That...and they've got the very...very sweet beachbar...I make a helluva Bloody Mary," he grins.
"Nah...in all honesty though..." he says, as serious as he can for being kinda drunk, "I can't wait for the next change...I'd love to see this island from up there at night..." He sighed wistfully.

"Let me geuss, it had REAL blood in it?" Lauren laughed, "What are ya a vampire bat or something?" She mused not knowing that she was right on, "Or is that some sick fetish of yours when you were human?"
She nodded at his opinions at the beach, "Yeah, it's nice a quiet and familar to me, the stars and sand and waves, can catch myself thinking too much if I'm not careful but it's good therapy." She smiled at him not waiting for his next change, "Man I can say I envy you with that. I sometimes hang upside down NOW for fun, but imagine being able to do it well and without the headrush. Sweet, and a bat at that. Not some stupid horned mongoose." She said winking, "But mongeese can kick snake a** so I geuss that's cool."

"Oh yeah, I was onna them emo-goth kids...all into the drinkin' blood s**t..." he said as he tried his best to keep a straight face...but failed miserably. "Hah! No...nono...actually I was Air Force back home...guess they wanted to turn me into an actual flyboy...but yeah, you got it right on the head," he said with a few nods, "Vampire bat...all-liquid diet. Which isn't bad when you mix in some Vodka." He grinned at that.
"Mongoose! That's it! s**t, I was wonderin'...horns kinda threw me off for a minute, but yeah. Heheh, don't take this the wrong way but I could'a sworn you were some type of jackalope or somethin' when I first saw you."
"But yeah...can't wait till these things are...yaknow...useful," he said while lifting up a hand for emphasis, "Right now it's like having...s**t...what's the word...I dunno, but it's like having papertowel tubes permanently attached to your fingers *nodnod*"

Lauren cracked up at the goth comment, "Ah come on, don't tell me you never tried to drink your own blood, even from a little paper cut?" She asked, "I think that's all I've done before. Luckily I didn't get into that dumb a** crowd, but another dumb a** crowd." She nodded at the air force, "A real fly boy, s**t you're full of those puns aren't you?" She said as she playfully smacked his shoulder.
She snickered slightly at the jackalope comment, "You know, I've never thought about it that way but I geuss you're right. I DO look like one." She pointed to her horns, "These are my OWN dumb idea, NEVER ask for horns alright? They hurt like HELL comming in and get in the way of everything."
Lauren admired his wings, "Dude, if you can fly that would kick a** so much. Good luck and all but I'm not sure it's physically possible. But yeah I have these paws and they suck as it is. I can't draw anymore but I can still type at least, carefully." She lifted her own paw up comparing it to his.

"Alright...alright, I confess...one time yes I did lick a papercut wound...but I didn't enjoy it!" he said, still grinning. "Ow, hey!," he said, though the grin was still on his face, "Damn straight I am, actually in all honesty I've been holding 'em all in forever now...you just happened to catch me at just the right amount of inebriation to let 'em out."
"You asked for horns? Huh! how 'bout that..." Although some part of him was slightly bothered by this comment, he didn't want the mood to be ruined so he just pushed it away for another time.
"Heh...You'd be surprised...I used to weigh something like...what...190 or something like that...now I'm barely 120. And it isn't just me getting skinnier either...I could'a sworn...last time...I felt my bones get...lighter. I dunno if that makes sense, but...it was the weirdest feeling." He looked over her paws for a moment, "Now paws...you can't draw anymore? Goddamn, that sucks...I used to play the piano, myself...think I'm gonna have to learn to use me feet."

"Yes, that's what I said wasn't it?" Lauren replied about the horn comment, "That was over a year ago though and I've grown up a lot since then." She said nodding, "But still they have their uses, if I get mad at anyone they would be a kick a** defense." Her hand went up to play with her horns subconsciously as she talked about them. It was fun sometimes to tug on them or just hang her paw on them. Felt comfortable, kind of like messing with your own hair but more stiff.
"DAMN! You weigh less than me!" Lauren said, "But yeah I bet I USED to weigh less than that, and I'm a tall girl but I put on weight. That's messed up I couldn't imagine feeling your bones get LIGHTER. I just got hairy, and grew heavier. But with the way I was it's a good thing I packed on some pounds."

Tommy nods about the horns, wondering just what it would be like...maybe like wearing a hat you couldn't take off? I bet you'd get used to the weight and you wouldn't even notice it after a while. "Hah! s**t, I bet they would...I dunno, I'd be hesitant to go against anything with spikey bits like that."
"Hah! Really? Goddamn...yeah, I used to be Six foot, close to two hundred. I think I'm well on my way to flight...or gliding at least, yaknow? Now...the fur thing I haven't had too much a problem with. So far it's like one of the nasty guys you see at theme parks who decide to take off their shirts and you're all like 'holy s**t!' 'cause their back is covered in hair. But in all honesty, I'm waiting for that too...I can't tell you how many people shy away from a face like mine," he said with a sigh.

Lauren always made a point to be bluntly honest when it was least convienant, "Well... it is a face only a mother could love but it is also a BAT face and bat's ******** rock hard core." She said laughing. "So I wouldn't worry about it too much, everyone else thinks they are the next big foot here and has some form of complex with it." She was glad though that her animal was relatively cute and good looking or to the least NOT hideous. "Hell I'm female and I'm hairy all over, that would of drove me nuts when I was human but at least I don't have to shave my pits or legs. That really sucked before." She said jokingly.
"So has anyone really ran away from you cause of your looks? I can kick their a** if you want?" She asked curiously.

"Heheh, yeah," he said with chuckling, doing his best to roll with the punches. "But damn straight we do...hell, after you get used to it, echolocation's actually...well...first time I'm going to say this, but really ********' cool," he said while nodding...bursting off a few rounds of it just because he thought about it. He's just thankful he's learned to control the frequency or else everyone around him would hate him for the damn squeaking.
"Nah, not run away...this one guy ********' fainted though when I met him. He was full human though...and new I think..." he shrugged.
