The twins watched as the tentacles were forced back into the waters that they had come from. For a moment they were able to see Oren as the water was forced apart by the stream of chakra Hotaru as used as a defense. Unfortunately, the twins would be unable to use this to a tactical advantage as the water went back to where it was just as quickly as it had been separated. Hotaru would remain in his stance as he waited to see if Oren would attack again. Soon enough, the attack he was waiting for would come. However, it seemed that the octolady was going for a different tactic from what he had just experienced. The vortex began to spin directly beneath the man. 'Better be quick.' Hotaru thought to himself as he moved his right leg back behind his left then almost like a figure skater he would jump directly into the air and begin to spin. However, unlike a figure skater, he would continue to spin in the air. The forceful nature of the spin would cause a whirlwind to begin twisting around Hotaru in the opposite direction of the vortex directly beneath him. However, as he was doing this a thought occurred to him. This was just a game and Hotaru certainly knew what it was like to lose. Not only lose but, to not even score a point at all. The tantrum Oren had thrown already tugged a heart string in him and what she was doing seemed like a last ditch effort to him. So, the man would simply not spin as fast or as hard as he could. This way it would appear that he was trying and in fact not letting Oren get a point on the board. Especially due to Oren not liking people admitting weakness based on what the Arashikage had told him earlier. 'What the hell are you doing?!' Seo thought to her brother as his whirlwind was over powered by the vortex and they began to fall into the spinning water. 'Trust me.' He would think back. Seo knew what he was doing and she wasn't happy about it at all. However, she would let him do what he wanted since she wasn't really playing the game. As long as it didn't end up with them dead.
Hotaru took a deep breath before hitting the water. The man then would begin strengthening his skeletal structure for the upcoming crushing that he figured was coming. Not only this but, his internal organs would begin moving so they were protected by this new strengthened skeletal structure. Memories of him and his sister being bullied flashed through his mind and a smile grew on his face regardless of the vortex that was pulling him towards Oren. Sometimes you just had to let someone win.

Under the ground, Aiyume sniffed as she frowned. Why did the ground suddenly smelt wet? Well. More wet than usual. With a mental groan, she figured that it was raining. Or flooding. Or they had somehow dug themselves to a lake. Nah. Can't be the latter, the lake was further away and they didn't dug that much. Her head turned to look at her friend and her friend was equally confused as her. Right at that moment, Tsuta started to whine and whimper. Emerald hues shot towards her friend to try to figure out what was wrong, they always did say that animals can sense things before humans. They continue to use the technique and hit something hard. Aiyume felt around. Ah. Roots. Perfect. Maybe they could go hide in the trees? Wait. It was already dark up there.
Not too long after that, the underground ripped as a fissure opened. "Wa!" Aiyume shouted in surprise as she grabbed Tsuta's upper leg and pulled her towards her as they were heading towards something. They didn't swim against the current, there was no point. Helping Tsuta, Tsuta was now on Aiyume's back and clinging onto for her dear life the best way that a dog can do. Aiyume's arms were flailing around and by a stroke of luck, she grasps something hard. A branch? The tree was practically swaying sideways but it was still holding onto the ground with its deep roots. For now. Until the stress cause the trunk to break. Pulling herself towards the tree, she hung onto the branch and can feel Tsuta on her back. She needed to think of something. Quick. That wouldn't also hurt her teammates. And they couldn't breathe.
Survival was on this girl's mind. Made the handseals a massive golem appeared and scooped Aiyume and Tsuta as she panted on the palm, laying down with Tsuta. They were already tired from that! What was going on!? This wasn't the usual game of tag! The golem brought its palm up to the shoulder as Tsuta and Aiyume got up and dismounted, now standing on the Golem's shoulder, fifty feet tall as the golem had dug its heels to keep itself balanced against the current. "Geez. Not exactly the game of tag we had in mind, huh girl?" Tsuta whined in agreement.

Just as the secondary cubic barrier had finished forming together and having released her handsign, Yua gave a great exhale of success and opened her mouth to speak her thoughts allowed and i ko nstead gave a short shriek of surprise and fright as the outer cube shatter and her dome hand a hole blasted through it in an instant, despite chakra Yua had readied to “passively“ repair any damage she judged Oren capable of doing to her barrier, comparing her to ultra strong meathead humans(A-rank amount). The dome cracked in contemplation of shattering apart, it’s interior flooding with water immediately after, the force popping her off her feet and into the wall behind her as she was half way through raising her hand to start sealing the hole. The repairs would have started, but now she would be submerged and blasted off of her feet by water, which was a bit of a displeasure to the Yokai, not being the biggest fan of being submerged. Although her clothes were already ruined so she couldn't particularly complain about what the inky water could do to them at this juncture, the want to complain died down as she focused on trying to repair the damage done but the rumble of a strong current and the rush of shifting flow of the waters current suddenly began to rumble around her.
[Mmmmmh what now?!] She thought to herself before a new and different sound cut through the rushing noise with a sound like a large branch being snapped in two, the sound of her ice dome weakening just before it crumpled, Yua being quite handily ripped her out off its remain due to being snatched up by the current before being able to react. Yua flailed uselessly as her initial reaction, that was of a rather non composed manner, stopping after a second or so as she realized this little Big octolady had Yua now our in her hunting grounds, which for a natural predator like Yua was an unpleasant circumstance. It was time to actually put some thought process in, it appear straightforward tactics didn’t work because Oren was to strong for them to do so, thus she’d have to use a strong Jutsu to stop her unwilling journey. Waving her hands about as if she conducting an invisible orchestra, snow started forming around her and she quickly disappeared within it, the technique used meant to create a massive beast made of snow... Yuas creativity was a bit different however as, likely VERY close to Oren by the time this Jutsu finished forming, A large, proportionate and near perfect replica In the image of its maker Yua. The gigantic(50ft) snow Yua planted its feet onto the ground to prevent or slow itself from from the aggressive currents pull as the real Yua within awaited for her exterior to be assaulted by Oren, her hands were poised to start shaping chakra at an instants notice as even with her giant snow suit, she couldn’t overpower the octolady.

This form moves at an A Ranked speed and is able to use all the user’s taijutsu, water, wind, ice and basic combat techniques. These techniques all cause a minimum of tier four frostbite on contact if they caused anything less and the sizing and scaling of their ninjutsu and ice release techniques effected are 50 feet larger. This technique requires a C ranked upkeep per post and can be repaired after taking damage as a supplementary action equal to the technique impacting it.
Ice Release: Permafrost Barrier [ Towa tōdo baria ] | Rank B The user claps their hands together, causing an explosion of water to form around them and their allies within thirty feet. The water swirls around the user and allies and instantly freezes to create a thick ice dome to protect them. The user is requires to pay an upkeep cost of D Rank per post following the initial use. While costly, the user is able to repair the barrier by paying the cost of techniques that impact it passively. In addition, the user is capable of casting other techniques of the ice release from the surface of the dome, attacking while perfectly defended. Soon the dark waters would clear. The black current would chip away at Yua's snow defense bit by bit pulling it apart, an arm, its legs, until everything was swept up whipping away Yua's defenses however Aiyume's were made of sterner stuff and would service a strong enough defense to challenge the current. When the waters were all swallowed back up to the center of the thing that created it, pencils, training dummies, weapon racks, practice weapons, stained leaves, and various other objects fell like snow. Oren herself would be lying on her back panting with fair exhaustion and in her arms were two of her playmates. The back of Hotaru's head nestled between her bosom with two arms across his chest and Yua's equally enveloped on top of Hotaru. The two of them ensnared together as if they were sharing a blanket. Only the blanket was thick moist tentacles and the bed was each other. Although her grip was snug it wasn't anything compared to the nye near choking out the anbu had endured albeit it may have been a little hard to breathe comfortably. Mostly no doubt in due part to how much energy she'd used.
When the click clacking and clunking of debris ended and Oren caught her breathe a *ding* moment occurred as she looked down and counted how many she'd tagged "One. Two. Boo." Like snakes letting their prey loose she released Yua and Hotaru before she rolled over on her stomach and propped herself up. "Oh being the well, two is being better than none. Maybe one day. Had many fun." Oren's eyes sharpened to look like that of a hawks in Aiyume's direction "Will be getting you next time." Oren looked around the surroundings without a care in a good mood before another ding moment. Clapping her tentacles together the black stain that covered pretty much everything started to dissipate in a manner similar to invisible ink. "I admit the losing...but now me know OREN WEAK! OREN MUST WORK HARDER! OREN WILL SEE PRETTY HUMAN SHELLS!" A fire was still kindled in her eyes if not fiercer than ever before. Yet at the same time it was uncertain if that was a good thing or a bad thing. She then sighed..."But not todays."
"Friends win fair and square" she cracked her neck as she ushered that Aiyume join the rest of the group. Then what happened after was both kinda gross and kinda cool? Oren would inhale and spit out three black pearls. "Here, token of friendship having." __________________________________________________________

Orens Black Pearl: A token of friendship given by Toso's personal summon Orenka. Can be used as a material attaching it to a weapon or armor the following ability or can be shaken once per combat to produce the following ability.
The Weapon or Armor will become black as pitch when the pearl is activated the weapon will induce tier blindness equal to the rank of the technique the weapon is used with. Armor will negate tiered blindness equal to an amount of chakra spent for the Tier for [4] posts
When used on its own shaking it, the pearl produces a smoke cloud of pitch blackness equal to an A-rank technique that induces Tier-3 Blindness. However, this does not consume any chakra to do so but can only be done once per combat. Each owner of a black pearl can send messages to one another through the reflection of the black pearl like a tiny crystal ball.
Hotaru laid motionless in Oren's arms as he waited for the crushing to begin. However, it would never come as she seemed to lack the strength to continue. The man sighed softly to himself. 'You're an idiot.' Seo thought to him as they lay there with Yua on top of the twin. Hotaru was a bit embarrassed at the situation he had found himself, this showing as a crimson blush on his face. However, the situation fortunately wasn't long as Oren released the two from her grip. Hotaru rolled over and used his hands to spring himself up into a standing position. "That was fun!" Hotaru would say with a bright smile. "I'd like to play that game again Oren!" He would continue before watching oren spit out the three black pearls. Had it been Seo she likely would have called it gross or something else. "Cool!" Hotaru yelled out as he reached for the black pearl and took it into his hands to examine it. The man would place the black pearl away suddenly and begin feeling at his various pockets. A look of disappointment went over his face. "I'm sorry Oren, I don't have a gift in return. Next time we meet I promise I'll have one for you too!" Hotaru would say, nodding to himself as the gears began spinning on what he could get for the octowoman.
"Can you find them?" Aiyume questioned towards Tsuta as they looked, listened, and more importantly, sniffed. It was hard to be sniffing around just right cause of all the scents that were being thrown around like a bunch of rags in a dryer. Then once the water was gone, Aiyume felt every single hair rose as Tsuta's fur rose on the spine when they saw their friends were in danger. Would Oren hurt them? Prepared to attack, it seemed that she released them as she let out a sigh and sheepishly scratched the back of her head. With a friendly and challenging smile, "I hope you do make me work for it, Oren!" Hopping off of the golem, the Inuzuka duo landed by the group as she glanced down at herself, laughing.
First, she was covered in smoke and soot. Now mud and dirt.
BEST DAY EVER.
Oren inhaled as they blinked, unsure if they were about to squirt with more black stuff but instead, out came beautiful black pearls. "Oooh!" Aiyume remarked as she took one. "Thank you! It's so beautiful! Like you!" exclaimed Aiyume as she looked at it. Maybe she could make a bracelet out of it or something! OOH BLACK CLAW TIPS WOULD BE SO COOL. That was for another time. As for now, she took the black pearl and shoved it into the center of her sports bra, where it would be safe.
Consumed by the guilt when Hotaru had brought up that he was sorry and didn't have a gift for her as she gulped. Wow. How selfish am I?! Aiyume glanced down at her almost completely brown/black friend as she laughed and scratched the back of her head. "Is there anything we can do for you Oren? Maybe take you back to Toso so you can get some sleep?"

Hotaru and Seo were separated as they approached the academy that they had saved not too long ago. It was really a good idea to check up on the kids, Seo had to admit. It was Hotaru's idea of course, but it seemed maybe too nice. Although Seo wasn't the nicest of people, but she could understand where her brother was coming from. Even she felt a little something being back at the academy. "Well where it Aiyume?" Seo said over at her brother, obviously a little annoyed that the girl didn't even bother to show up on time. "I'm sure she's on her way!" Hotaru said with a bright smile before finding a place to sit on the ground. "You're gonna get dirty." Seo retorted back to her brother as she watched him sit on some dirt. Hotaru laughed gently to himself. "C'est la vie." The man said to his sister as he waited patiently for his friend.
"HHHHEEEEYYYY OOOOOOOOOO!" Aiyume shouted, appearing from behind Hotaru as she tackled him down to the ground. "Morning!" She laughed before getting up and then get tackle by Tsuta, which caused her to land on the ground, and dirt cloud goes everywhere. "Gettttt offff! Laughed Aiyume as Tsuta was licking her face. Pushed Tsuta off, she gets up and attempted to dust herself but it was to no avail. With a bright smile, she waved hi to Seo. "So! Why are we meeting here?"

Hotaru first head the noise of a slight poof behind him before he felt Aiyume's body clashing against his own. "Ah!" The man yelped out as he felt himself falling to the ground. Hotaru would feel the compression in his chest as Aiyume's body weighed him down. However, the weight was quickly relieved as Aiyume got back up. Hotaru quickly followed and began patting himself off. Much like Aiyume, the attempt really didn't make much of a difference. Seo waved back to Aiyume, but not very enthusiastically. "I thought it would be a good idea for us to see the kids we saved! Check up on them you know?" Hotaru said in his normal cheery attitude.
While dusting herself, she heard Hotaru's comment as she smiled. "Yea! That sounds perfect! What do you think, Tsuta?!" Tsuta yipped in happiness and spun around once as she was panting and seemingly happy. With an agreed nod, "Let's do it! Then she froze for a moment and paused, "Wait. Do you mean like in a hospital or...?" she questioned towards them. The reason why was that Aiyume and Tsuta both don't like the hospital due to their sensitive noses.

"No not in the hospital." Hotaru said with a bright smile. "Seo and I healed them up ourselves. This is their first day back to school. I thought we could check up on them." Hotaru continued to explain his idea. Seo simply nodded along as she didn't have anything to add really. However, before the twins could go any further, a figure appeared next to the young shinobi. "Hotaru & Seo Hyuuga. You are to go to the Pale Citadel immediately to prepare for an impeding attack. Aiyume you are to stay here in case the forward team is to fail." The figure would say to them before disappearing again, off to give more orders to other shinobi. "Oh no fun." Hotaru said, his smile turning into a frown. "They likely need medics." Seo would say as she took control of the body. "I'll take the lead on this one." Seo said almost in a commanding tone. "See ya Aiyume!" Both of the twins would say in unison before disappearing.

[Morning - Noroshi Study]
Early morning mists rolled through the village leaving a heavy dew upon the stone of the Academy. The light footsteps of a child scraped gently against the stairway brick. Taking her first steps towards Shinobi training, Nagadera Amaya made her way into the roofless building. Fingers laced around her backpack, whose contents held training manuals passed down by her family, the silver haired student was there to do some practice solo. While she had classmates that could be called on to train alongside her, Amaya preferred the solitude. Arashigakure even had teachers to pass on wisdom to make her studies less of a burden, but the child of the Nagadera was stubborn in paving her own path.
Backpack sliding to the floor, Amaya retrieved the contents within. There were scrolls on Maruton, Kaiton, Hikariton, Sensory and much more. While most students were anxious to learn techniques such as Bunshin or Henge, the girl preferred to begin with techniques to strengthen her awareness. Dispensing the rolled parchment her ashen eyes looked over the characters and introduction. "Noroshi..." she whispered to herself, reading over the description of the technique. A simple technique which could be used in tracking? Narrowing her brows, Amaya tried to decipher the description while walking over to the edge of the training room. Reaching out, she plucked a hazelnut from a low hanging shrub. Lashes falling upon her cheeks, she concentrated her chakra into the hard fruit. Turning back to the room, she kept her eyes closed before tossing the nut underhand. Covering her ears, Amaya deprived herself of other senses in order to reach out to the chakra once she felt like the hazelnut stopped moving. "Eight paces," she guessed before opening her eyes and dropping her hands. Twelve paces later, Amaya took out her own scroll to note her initial attempt. From there, the girl attempted the exercise again and again before she performed the technique ten times within one pace of the fruit.
Satisfied with her progress, Amaya would not stop there. Although just a child, the girl was a curious perfectionist. What other way could she challenge herself using the technique known as Signal Fire? Thus, for the remainder of the morning, the sterling crowned child created more challenges for herself to make sure she had a good understanding about the limitations and uses of Noroshi. All the while taking notes in her personal journal about personal successes, failures and growths.

Returning to her pack, Amaya retrieved her light lunch. A plum riceball decorated with sesame seeds and wrapped in a large leaf. It was a simple meal, but it would keep her energy levels up while she continued her studies. Plopping down on the tatami mats, she unrolled her scroll farther to another technique relative to sensory training. "Yam-f-abi-f-ko," she spoke through chewing, muddling the title of the echolocation technique. Amaya did not play any musical instrument, since she was rather tone deaf when it came to pitch and melody. She didn't have the patience for music, but that wasn't to say she wasn't a fan. On her hikes on the islands of Arashigakure there were many sounds which echoed across the skies. And this technique suggested sharp or crisp sounds that would carry and clash against the environment's surface.
Wiping her hands clean of starch from her sticky riceball, Amaya thought of the simplest sound one could make, but could also blend in with nature; a whistle. Lips puckered together, she began to mimic the birds of the island. From the sharp tweets of grosbeak to the song of the nightingale. The sterling crowned child sat and whistled to herself, trying to visualize the sound carrying out over the room and to mountainside. Closing her eyes, she continued to cycle the songs of the feathery chirpers. Standing up with her ashen hues still veiled, she took rigid and abnormal steps around the room before sitting once again. Amaya would test herself, attempting to pinpoint the hazelnut tree from which she plucked. This was a technique she wasn't picking up right away.
Changing gears, she'd try another sound. Something sharper and higher pitch. Walking through the rooms of the Academy, she heard the sounds of a wind chime. Taking the decoration down, she brushed her fingers against the metal tubes. It carried much better than her own whistles. Closing her eyes, she did the exercise over. Accuracy improved with the instrument and she took notes in her journal about how sound seemed to vibrate differently on surfaces; wood, metal, stone. Not only the material, but the texture and shape; curved, porous, jagged, fluid. Certain elements dampened the sound and others heightened it. Amaya wouldn't be able to pinpoint what was in a precise location, but she'd at least be able to tell there was an object in the vicinity. Returning the wind chime from where she acquired it, Amaya returned to her journal to make notes and challenges for herself in the future.

Louder sounds travel farther. It effectively works like echolocation, giving the user a display of the path in which the sound travels for one [1] full post. The visual can be maintained at an upkeep of the original cost per post, as well as a constant sound, such as music. Only the user can see the visual path.

[Afternoon - Fūnyū & Kaifū no Jutsu]
Rubbing her eyes, the student could feel her brain yearn for a mental break. While she always kept herself active in reading, note taking and hiking, Amaya hadn't done much along the lines of shinobi training. She still held a kunai oddly and never hit her mark with a shuriken. Taking a break from sensory training was clear, but she didn't want to pick up a weapon quite yet. Rolling up the scroll, she placed it in her pack to produce a different one; the scroll on basic Fuin techniques. The scroll was a little worn out, which either meant it had been used quite a bit or someone very irresponsible had it last. Nevertheless, Amaya rolled it across the floor along with another empty scroll and her journal. "Fu... Etto... Fūnyū no Jutsu," she practiced the pronunciation as her ashen hues went over the characters on the scroll. The capabilities of this technique seemed extremely useful! She could seal anything in a scroll. She wondered how food would keep if sealed in a scroll. . . Would it rot? Would it stay warm? Can you seal liquid? How had shinobi used this technique? There weren't any notes written, but her imagination was running wild. With a heave of her shoulders and a big huff, she calmed herself down. First thing first, she had to study the kanji, symbols and design of the seal. Steady hand, she started memorizing the enclosing technique's finer points. Once she was satisfied with her work, she did it again. Practice makes perfect.
Jumping up from her seat, she went running over to the hazelnut tree plucking yet another fruit. Placing it in the center of the written seal, she placed her hands around the seal and sent her chakra through it. "Fūnyū no Jutsu," she said aloud activating the vacuum and watching the hazelnut disappear. A smile lit up her face. Jumping up to her feet, she grabbed her canteen and ran to the rocky slope of the academy mountains. Leaning as far as she could, she filled her canteen with fresh spring water. The pitter patter of her little feet sounded across the tatami mats and she tried the technique while pouring water into the scroll. "Fūnyū no Jutsu," her eyes seemed to sparkle as she watched the water be sealed away. "Haha," amused by the trick, Amaya's childish side came out to play. Leaves. The windchime. Rocks. Amaya was starting to seat from running, sealing, running and sealing.
Toes fidgeting under her, she leaned over with eagerness to read the companion technique to enclosing; unsealing! "Kaifū no Jutsu," she said, smile dancing on her lips as her eyes raced up and down the scroll to read as fast as she could. All she needed to do was activate the seal with chakra and the item which she had sealed would come forth. "Kaifū!" she commanded, the hazelnut appearing. "Kaifū!" she said again and again, releasing everything she had sealed and laughing when the water came spurting forward. Just as she had poured it in, it came out. "Haha!" picking up her journal, Amaya wrote down her notes as well as placing a heart next to the technique. It seemed the girl took a shining to this style of jutsu and she truly wanted to learn more about it. Could one set traps? Could the seal be activated without intent? How many weapons could she seal in one scroll? There were so many questions she had for the sensei next class.
Realizing what time it was, Amaya gathered her things and left.

Sealing an item into a scroll, does not require the user to be physically touching the item in question. A general vacuum at the site of the fuuin will attempt to pull matter into itself if left open. They do not take up limit slots on the profile. Fūnyū is an integral part of all the fuuin augments that are gained from other jutsu, meaning that the official description is simply a look ahead. This technique cannot be performed in battle. This technique can be used at up to two ranks of the user's body rank. The use of this technique at any rank only cost an E-ranked amount.
▰ Unsealing Technique [ Kaifū no Jutsu ] | Rank E | Universal This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu, Fūnyū no Jutsu, et cetera ( 1 item type per seal usage ). This technique is a standard ninjutsu which allows a shinobi to summon an assortment of items that have been stored in special seals, using fūinjutsu. Scrolls are the most commonly chosen for item storage. When needed, the owner activates the seals releasing their stored items or weapons of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. Further ranks require further, and separate, training. Weapons are the most commonly sealed objects. The act of unsealing does not cost an activation, and remains only five chakra, regardless of the quantity of items unsealed.
Hotaru and Seo both made their way to the academy. For once, they were separated. For those who had been around the twins for the last month, they would know that the twins had been arguing since the samurai invasion. Hotaru constantly argued his point that what he was doing was for a teammate and that's what mattered most while Seo argued that leaving his duty could have resulted in more deaths than there were. It was a complicated issue, so the twins argued over it constantly. Luckily for the people in their life, most of the arguing took place in their telepathy, so other's really didn't have to listen if they didn't have to. After a month, the twins had finally agreed on one thing and that was to check in on the students at the academy again. It had been awhile since they checked in on them and surely they were all healed up by now with how advanced some of the medics were in this village. All they had to do was wait on Aiyume and Tsuta.
