Kai was more than happy to dance with Dumuzi. He wasn't nearly as graceful as his trainer could be, so most of his swagger was a bit goofy. Luckily, his tail was swaying in a way that didn't hit anyone, and he wasn't stepping on any feet. For a seven foot gator, he did a pretty good job.
Leon smirked as Isis commented on the short yukata thing. "Well, I can't deny I wouldn't enjoy seeing that." The raven haired male then helped her up to her feet. However, he pulled a bit too hard and lost his balance as she came crashing into him. "Oof!" Leon fell, landing on his back as Isis landed on top of him. He most certainly wasn't hurt by the movement, and a blush creeped across his face from ear to ear. "U-uh... I-it's fine! My fault, I'm sorry..." he stuttered out as Isis scrambled to get off of him. When she held out her hand to help him up, he instead, handed her her arcanine plush, then jumped back to his feet. He brushed himself off, eager to take his mind off of how Isis had just been on top of him, so close to him, just a moment ago. "Yeah, let's go check back on Du. I wouldn't want to leave her on such a note." Leon agreed with Isis. Once it was established what they were going to do, Leon led the way back to the dance floor.
It seemed like they were just about done with the dance as Leon and Isis returned to Dumuzi and Kai. The raven haired male approached, holding the diancie plush out to Dumuzi. "Dumuzi, I'm sorry about earlier." he told her. He didn't really think of Dumuzi as less of a person, just because she hasn't been presenting herself as her physical gender. He hoped that Du wouldn't assume that they would treat her any differently for knowing. However, on that note... "I hope you don't mind me asking, Du... but, which do you prefer us to refer to you as? I don't want to make assumptions so I really would like to know your wishes on this." He questioned Dumuzi, then smiled. He figured he should allow Isis to give her input, too. But really, he didn't care much about what Du wanted to be referred to as.

The dance had finally slowed to a stop as they went to change to a different song. Dumuzi took the time to give her temporary dance partner a rub on his tummy before taking a step back and giving the gater a smile. Having had one last dance with the Feraligatr gave her a bit of closure when it came to departing. She supposed that all that there was left to do was fetch her Plushy and say good bye to her new friends. Du wondered if this was going to end on a sour note or not. She supposed that it could go either way, but something told her that it would end up being something that would be a positive thing. After all, so far their responses hadn’t been negative in the least and Isis was very much a part of the Coordinator scene and apparel they were all pretty open minded about things. Still though, there were always those nasty little ‘what ifs’ that ran through you head and plagued your mind, regardless if there was any truth to them or not. Dumuzi pulled herself away from the dance floor to allow people some space to dance where she would be standing around and doing nothing. She wasn’t sure if Kai was still going to dance –and probably pick up the ladies in the process- or if he was following her off the floor. It was getting warm in that group of people anyway. Not to mention that she wanted to find a good spot for the fireworks that were likely to start soon. When Du stepped out of the dance floor she was greeted to the sight of Isis and Leon, the later of the two offering the plushy that was won for her. Dumuzi smiled and took the plushy gently in her arms again. ”Thank you.”
And now the awkward part… well, she supposed that they were going to find out sooner or later. It wasn’t a secret that you’d be able to keep from your friends forever anyway. But now she was probably going to be subjected to explaining herself a little bit. And honestly she wasn’t sure what she was going to be saying in a response to that. She was about to open her mouth to try and fumble out some sort of confused and hasty explanation when Leon apologized to her. She looked up and blinked for a moment. ”You’re sorry? Why?” If he was sorry about what Theo had said, then he had no reason to be, that wasn’t his fault. If he was apologizing for something that he did earlier then she couldn’t remember him doing anything that she took offense to or would have any reason to apologize. Hmm… that was odd. His next state caught her totally off guard and she looked up at him in obvious surprise. Which did he prefer to be referred to as? Dumuzi hadn’t thought of that before, and honestly she wasn’t sure she knew that answer. She opened her mouth as if to speak, but closed it again having not found the words that would give an honest clarity to the situation. Her eyes downcast to the right. ”I… um, whichever you feel more comfortable addressing me as, I guess?” How do you explain to someone that recent events and a life time of daydreaming had led you to the epiphany that you might not be what you were born as? Dumuzi was too young and inexperienced in the knowledge of what this really meant let alone put into words that others may understand and be able to relate to. ”I’m sorry if this… ruined your date or anything. I had a lot of fun tonight, getting to know you two and I… I hope that despite this we can keep in touch? I… I didn’t mean to deceive you or anything with not correcting my pronouns or anything but… I honestly didn’t mind being referred to in the female pronouns, so… I didn’t see harm in not correcting you.” A small smile touched her face at that. She really had enjoyed this entire experience even though it seemed to dump a whole bunch of questions on her lap and expected her to find the answers to them. She finally brought her eyes up to meet theirs again. ”I must seem pretty weird to you two, don’t I?” That would have been the story of her life at this point.
