Dray smiled happily and hugged his mother. "Thanks mom." He said.

After a meal worth of an island of kings, Kitrin asked for a meeting in which they adjorned to the lounge area in the White wing of the castle. Present were Kitrin, Logan, Alex, Amen, Kaeden and Lily.

They sipped on coffee or tea as they waited for Kitrin to speak. "I must say you all have made a nice home up here. The previous Semal would have been proud." He said as a compliment to Logan's clan. "If you will permit me, Semal-Ray?" He asked. Logan nodded. "We are all at your disposal, my High Priest." Logan said since Kitrin had used his title...he figured this would be a serious discussion.

"Formalities mostly aside, we need to discuss a few things. First, your clan is the same size as when I last saw you, minus some of your family. Second, we need some males for your females which out number the males almost 3 to 1. Third, schooling for the little ones. I'm sure the Rayah and your Sessaru Kaeden are doing a fine job training their kittens, you what are you doing for the older kittens that were once orphans?" Kitrin started. "But before you answer, I've asked Kaeden and Amen to come up with some ideas as well. So, let's hear from you Logan."

Logan nodded. "Actually we've started on some of that. I'm not sure what to do about our lonely females; however, my mate has been working on hearing from everyone and about teaching our young ones. I will turn the floor over to him." Logan said and eyes turned to Alex to hear of his findings that afternoon when some of the clan came to talk with him. Uri had found a moment before dinner to fill his Semal in.

Alex sent the kittens with Kayla and Mrs. Church before joining his mate and the others. Sitting beside Logan he turned towards Kitrin as he spoke.

Alex hummed and gathered his thoughts for a moment. "Back home we had a school open for the older kittens as well as the adults we rescued. I think we should find a way to restart that. When I talked to the females almost everyone wanted me to find them a mate. I had noticed there were a lot of females, but I didn't realize there was quite that big of a difference. Honestly, I'm not sure what we should do to bring in more males, but I do know it is a problem. Several of the women even said they tried to proposition some of your men, Amen, but were turned down and away.... Honestly, at this point, any ideas would be more than welcome."

He paused "Besides that, I had noticed what you said, High Priest, there is a shockingly small amount of kittens, but without mated pairs, that problem will continue to persist.

Alex gave a small smile to Logan when his mate winked at him, before returning his attention to the Priest.

Kaeden hesitated, then stepped forward, "I don't have any solid ideas sir, but perhaps we could hold some sort of gathering or find a way to introduce our females to males from other tribes that might be willing to move here and becomes mates to some of them?" He offered uncertainly. He honestly wasn't sure the best way to introduce more into the tribe, but this had been the best idea to come to him so far.

"Sir, I know eventually my men and I will need to return to Egypt with you, but along with Kaeden's idea, are there any men in all of your troops that might be looking to settle down, and not be as active in the military? They could still be guards for this tribe, but maybe some are wanting to step back to something like that? It would give Semal Logan a some more members, as well as more options for the females of the tribe." Amen suggested.

Merry Christmas

This would be the first real alert since they had installed their defense system. Everyone had responded as expected. Guards were on the wall, some female archers while the rest of the female archers had come outside to lend a hand. Those females that weren't archers shifted to their animal form and surrounded the art of the castle. The males that weren't guarding inside came out and shifted to their cat forms and formed a line in front of the females.

Logan heard his mate, but knew he was safe. Logan quickly took off behind Kaeden, shifting in mid air into his large black wolf form. Other males shifted and formed a line behind their Semal-Ray.

Logan's wolf only stopped when he was between the intruding wolves and the male with the child. Logan's wolf let out a loud and deep roar of warning that seemed to shake the ground.

The male leading the attack to take the male and the child down shifted to his human form. "You give them back! They belong to us and will stay. They are traitors." Seeing the male shift, Logan shifted as well to answer. "He has asked for sanctuary and will receive it. What is his crime?" Logan said. "Not that it's your concern, but he would not bow to me! I am his master. You are a Semal. You will understand and return him for his punishment." The male said and demanded. "No." Logan said plainly.

"Well, I guess Logan won't have to go to them after all." Kitrin said before focusing on the other group. The other male was caught off guard for a moment. "No?.....No! How dare you! Is he a spy of yours?" "No. I've never seen this male or child before. And no is what I said." Logan said. "It sounds like you have your people as slaves. As Semal, you are to look after your tribe, care for them, help them grow. You making them see you as 'master' is not mote (not lawful)."

This angered the male and he shifted back to his cat form and raced at Logan. Logan had just enough time to shift himself before the other came at him. The other was a lion while Logan was a panther. They were both large. There was alot of snarling, biting, scratching and slashing. Kitrin put a gentle hand on Alex's shoulder.

The males that came along were still in their cat forms but only two of them looked like they were up for a fight. Logan noticed this before he engaged in a fight with their Semal......however the fight didn't last long as Logan was quick to pin the other down and rip his throat out.....this cat was no Semal.

"Your so called Semal is dead. You will yeild." Logan's panther spoke to the others. But two of them didn't. One ran for him while the other ran for Kaeden. These two were not Semals or even real warrior cats like Kaeden. They were just the muscle for their leader.

The man watched the fight in horror but glad that the man he'd asked for sanctuary had won. But then the fight started again. But he looked down when he heard sobbing. "Mommy." The little kid say. "Where's mommy?" he asked. The man started crying and hugged the little boy. "I'm sorry little one, she's gone." He said. "When's she coming back?" The little voice asked. "She promised we'd play a game." The man's heart was broken but he had to hold it together just a little longer.

Kitrin overheard and was saddened for the child and the man. This man obviously was doing his best to protect this child.

Logan finished off the male cat he was fighting with and let out a roar that was loud and strong. The left over males yielded, rolling over on their backs and exposing their throats and bellies in a sign of surrender. Logan passed by each of them demonstrating his dominance over them.....they were his to command.
