ξllery Ѧdvimi Ellery laughed a little, shaking his head. " Don't worry about it. I can perform another strip tease for you after my next tour." He reached up to grab the man's shoulder, tugging him down to plant a sweet kiss on his lips before letting him go and starting for his coat that lay draped over the back of the couch. " Come on, let's go. Daniel has two play-dates after school, so this might be our last day off for a while."

ξllery Ѧdvimi Elley, meanwhile, didn't see anything wrong. It was just a but of kids getting together to have fun. " Well, of course. I mean, he's very popular. All the girls love him." He shrugged, putting his coat on. Didn't he know that Daniel was well-liked?

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up." Girls?" For a man so well versed in the ways of the world, he seemed to be very confused. It was also entertaining watching a gay man get so confused by a simple word. " But he's only five. Shouldn't they be worried about cooties instead?" Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

ξllery Ѧdvimi He nodded, looking down at his papers as he brushed them into a stack. " Yeah, they're crazy about hi-" Ellery stopped, looking up at Fredrich. " Cooties? Did you not go through a girl phase when you were little?" he asked, having been certain that every kid that doesn't know better went through that phase.

ξllery Ѧdvimi " Nope. He's just like me when I was that age, a little ladies man." He chuckled, cheeks growing warm at the memory. " I remember those times just like they were yesterday. Girls used to come over to my house almost all the time. And then, when Basil was born and started growing up and just being a cute little version of me, oh they lost it! My house always had a guest." He laughed, shaking his head. Those were simpler times.

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich furrowed his eyebrows, unsure of how to feel. Was he supposed to be jealous? All he could think of was a five-year-old Ellery surrounded by five-year-old girls. What did children like that even do? Give each other make overs? What about the Austrian, what did he do? Ah, he was as average as any boy. Had his share of fun, worked hard to please his parents. Maybe a little of a bully, he was starting to learn how to use that cold glare of his. " I spent most of my time after school with my parents." he said, trailing off towards the end of his sentence. There was a brief pause. " Let's go to the hospital." Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

ξllery Ѧdvimi Unlike Fredrich, Ellery really had been the little ladies man as a kid. He would trade flowers for kisses on the cheek, the girls being the ones to bring the flowers. He was handsome as a child, tall for his age, boyish, and very kind. With the combined cuteness of his brother and the sweet way that Ellery was taught to handle girls, he quickly became the boy that all the little girls had crushes on, that they all loved to play with. It wasn't until he was in junior high that he stopped growing completely and started becoming the much more feminine-seeming Ellery that everyone now knew. Sometimes he missed those days, but he was very happy where he was now. He smiled up at Fredrich, walking over to take his arm. " I bet you were the cutest thing ever," he half-teased as they walked to the door.

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich sat at the dining table, his laptop opened. Ever since the Chief had made a new friend he had gotten very lenient one his men's work schedules. The detective decided to take advantage of this and go home under the guise of investigating another murder caused by the Nightingale assassin. In a way, he was true to his word. Connected to the underworld of the internet, Fredrich went from forum to forum. Most of these were blatant scams, others were more *****. If he wanted, he could find the real IP addresses of most of these people and arrest them, but doing that would expose himself. Besides, when you use this deep web, it's almost like being in a community. Finally, Fredrich reached his own website. It was nothing more than a black screen, save a blinking line that signified where you type and one sentence above it: " Who do you want assassinated?" There were many requests, there always were. It all ranged from people he never even heard of to the president, but an assassin had his standards, so top notch celebrities were out of the question. Unless, of course, the offer was nice. Fredrich swept through the requests. Most of the time he picked at random, making him wonder if that was how the lottery went. He had to be quick, though. Ellery left to pick up Daniel, but he should be back any minute now, and the last thing he needed was Daniel poking at his computer. The detective refreshed his page to see several new requests. His dark blue eyes widened as he recognized one of the names. Bae Young. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

ξllery Ѧdvimi Not long after Fredrich read that name, the door opened, laughing heard as Ellery and their son walked in. They were holding hands and giggling, as Ellery teased the boy. " Aww, that's so cute!" he cooed, setting Daniel's bag on the hook by the front door, then walking inside and reaching down to pick up Daniel. He gently touched the little black eye forming from earlier that day, yet another gift from Julian, then carried the child into the kitchen. He sat him on the counter, taking a bag of frozen peas out and handing it to the boy, who hissed in pain as the bag touched his sensitive eye. Shaking his head, Ellery peeked out to the dining room. " Fredrich, can you call Ca- hey, what's wrong?" He furrowed his brow, looking at the tall detective curiously. " You look as though you've seen a ghost." Helping Daniel off the counter, Ellery and the boy walked out into the dining room, Daniel trying to hide his face.

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich read that name over and over again, as if it had been a trick of the lighting this entire time and would become a different name the next time he looked. It didn't, it stayed that name. That one name. Bae Young. He clicked on the name and hacked into the computer of the person that requested it. One of the people Ellery's band was against, if he remembered right. It was the same man at that opera theatre He didn't seem like he hated the band that much, so why Bae? Fredrich closed his eyes, vividly remembering those annoying photos of Bae blushing around Ellery, staring at him with longing eyes. He wouldn't be lying if he said he wished he had been asked to assassinate him. The real question was: could he? This was Ellery's closest friend, it was also his livelihood. Fredrich could no doubt support the entire family on his own, but soon enough news would spread that Bae's death was caused by the Nightingale, and after that there would be no doubt he'd lose both Ellery and Daniel. But he was still the Nightingale. He couldn't make exceptions to targets for emotional reasons. In the end, it boiled down to which he liked more, his family or his job. Before he could make his decision, Ellery's voice chimed into the apartment and the detective quickly shut his laptop. He turned just in time to see the songwriter give him a curious stare. " I'm fine. Hayden was just showing me his latest sculpture and, erm, that's not something Daniel should see." he explained while coughing into his face. He glanced over to see the boy walking around him in a particular way. " Daniel," he said, making sure the boy could tell that he was onto something. " Come here." Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

ξllery Ѧdvimi Daniel rigidly scooted over to his father, keeping the frozen pea-covered side facing away from him. " Yes, Daddy?" he asked in the nicest, sweetest, calmest tone he could muster. He still sounded uptight and stifled. The songwriter rolled his eyes, then moved to kiss Fredrich's cheek before moving away to put his coat away. " Daniel, just show your father. It's not like he's going to yell at you." He called, walking over to his and Fredrich's bedroom to get changed and grab his bag. He had to go out soon and head to the studio to rehearse with Bae and Lock later that day and wanted to be sure that his clothes were ready. Meanwhile, the boy nodded awkwardly, then turned so that Fredrich could see. He didn't lower the peas, though. " Nothing happened," he insisted, moving the bag a little and wincing at the sharp pain.

Fredrich Waltz
In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich reached out and gently grabbed Daniel's chin, turning his face from side to side to make sure that was the only problem. " Nothing." he repeated emptily as he gazed down at the bits of bruise he could see over the peas. In a way he was glad about Daniel's bruise. It served as a good distraction against what he had just seen. " How did you get this bruise if it was nothing?" he asked while letting go of the boy's face and looking down at him for an explanation. Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................ ................................................

ξllery Ѧdvimi The boy looked away again, this time pursing his lips in a harsh pout. He wasn't going to give in and let Fredrich know what had happened that day. However, he remembered that his mother knew what had happened and was going to tell anyway, so he sighed and lowered his head. " Julian hit me," he mumbled gruffly. " Mommy freaked out, but I'm fine! It just stings a little." He tried to insist, although he did wince whenever he moved.
