Just to repeat what I said in my own topic, Nick will be taking over my spot in BG3 as I am going on a hiatus.

I can confirm this. So yes, I will be participating in BG3 as Clara, and BG4 as Seth. Speaking of BG3, due to this, I move after Mallow, correct?

As I am taking over Jen's place in BG3, is there anything particular I should do here with Clara? Gonna double check the board state, but I'm fairly certain attacking the Dark Mage Annis weakened is correct. Objections?

Since there's no strategy talk going on right now, I'll take this time to post about upcoming things and ideas.

Some things coming in the next 'patch':
- New weapons to weigh on your mind or lighten your mood.
- Reformatting some of the current weapons
- Guild HQ, Barracks, and more
- Supports
- New type of event for spaces
- A change to second seal; more info when the update comes

I'd also like people's input on Gamble: Currently, when gamble is used to attack a unit and the result is odd, then the attacked unit gets a +4 to attack if that unit attacks the unit with gamble on their next turn. If they do not attack next turn, the +4 goes away. However, I'm considering changing the skill so that when gamble is rolled, the unit will get a +4 to attack when it's positive and a -4 to attack when it's negative. Both ways have a high positive and negative to it, I'd just like to hear how people would prefer the skill to work. I'll leave that to popular opinion.
If you have a different idea to help balance the skill, then please share it. Game 4 is showing me that barbarians are more threatening than I had intended, mainly due to gamble, so I don't mind the skill changing. It just needs to have a reason to use it instead of a normal attack.

Also, canto and galeforce: Should an event post be given for both spaces, or just the FINAL space that a unit stops on? Popular opinion takes it.

I also have a new poll up that I'd like people to vote in, if they haven't yet done so. Game 4 is the start of a 3-game campaign, so I'm already preparing a game 5, but I like to have 2 games going at once so that more members can play at a time, and whatever has the most votes when I'm ready to start preparing a game will be what I do.

Let me clarify some of the options for you:
  • A unique, whimsical one-off:
    - This could be anything. I don't mind getting serious or silly, just as long as it's unique and fun. These usually won't be harder difficulty, and the goals may be atypical.
  • A Create-a-Villager game:
    - This is an idea I had to have a campaign set from the viewpoint of the commonfolk and how they are affected in our world. These games will be spaced out, since people obviously want to spend more time leveling their other characters. Essentially, people will create their own villager unit that they will level up into whatever they want through the course of the create-a-villager games. These characters will be separate from the normal boardgame system. They cannot be used outside of the create-a-villager games, though other characters may make cameo appearances within them. The time period of these games will begin right before the war began.
  • A member-made game:
    - I'd be very excited for a member to DM their own game! Or if they just want to make something and have me DM it for them, either way works. We'll just need to work together to make the game work. If you can't make your own map (I use mapwin), then I will do my best to do justice to your board design by making it, myself.
  • A reenactment of a battle within FEF RP:
    - This is something that I think would be really cool. Whichever battle is chosen, I'll look at the characters that took part and give them first priority for joining if their owners want to. With the leftover room, any character can join, despite not having been there. I'll tell you right now though, if you were thinking of requesting The Great Eyris Siege, don't even bother. Due to the enormity of that battle, I'd either have to do it in parts or make one huge all-encompassing map that stretches the page like it's never been stretched before. It's just too much work and would take too long to set up- but I'm not saying we can't ever do it.

That's all I can think of right now.

I'd prefer the latter. When the Gamble fails in its current state, the disadvantage for the attacker is only taken advantage of if the unit it tried to attack actually attacks that barbarian. That's actually in many situations unlikely to happen, for instance if the barbarian is killed before that player's turn rolls around again, or, as was the case in Game 4, another character's skill overrides the attack and makes it so the benefit of losing Gamble for the player can't be taken advantage of. By changing the system, you end up with two attacks that will do a raw damage roll of less than zero (it's up to you if you want to make it cap at zero or actually negatively affect the STR buff) and two attacks that go above the maximum of a normal attack roll. It's fair and it works out.

Also, canto and galeforce: Should an event post be given for both spaces, or just the FINAL space that a unit stops on? Popular opinion takes it.

I think for matters of traps, it should be both, and for matters of event items, it should be final.

Misuki Marishima

Technically Leena should be skipped by now, but I'm not going to update the topic until tomorrow because I'm going to bed right after I post this. If I haven't updated by the time you see this, go ahead and take your turn, please.

I forgot an event post needed to be made, so it technically was never Leena's turn yet. The 48 hours have now officially begun, so consider this a notice that it's your turn.

I thought we all agree that there will be no support in the Boardgame due to how complicated and difficult to set up. sweatdrop So if I miss on the discussion about the support recently, mind linking me to the post or give me a quick info about how this support will work in the Boardgame? I still find it kinda complicated to set up the support.

For Gamble, I agree with Gale about having the Gamble set up to latter.

For Canto and Galeforce: While I admit that I like to get more items as much as possible, I feel that the event post be given on the final space. The first space of Canto is more of a temporary space unless the player decides to stay put. As for Galeforce, it's a 50/50 chance that the player may stay if able to kill the enemy.

For what sort of boardgame, I don't mind any of the settings we're given. However, I do like to see members try to make their games. After all, you'll never know how fun they have their ideas be. Not to mention, bring the guild closer together.

Apparently, you missed that bold question I wrote earlier. =P

You may think it's similar to "Talk" action, but it's not. We still have to figure out which people can support, how many turns must the person stands to get support, as well as how to establish the stat boost.

PSA: I can't make boardgame updates for the next week. (Not that that's a surprise considering the rate of which I update. sweatdrop ) I didn't bring my files with me on vacation.
