Shen started jumping from roof to roof ,with every jump the scent got closer until he reached a tall building. "On the roof" all of a sudden Shen turned into smoke, and appeared on the buildings roof "He or She is close by." Shen walked to the elevator door. He forcibly Opened the door then jumped on top of the elevator, Shen made small noise from the drop .He then placed his index finger on top of the elevator and pierced a small hole so he could hear the conversation"And now I wait"

((Oh, Gimp, how I love thee. If no one minds, I am going to make two changes to Karinda's appearance. First, her current clothes wear. I was saying blue hoodie, but wanted to change it to something better. Second, is her sword, Aleron (the blade should be red in the center and black around the edges. I could not find something that worked for that edit, though). She also still has the chain whip, it is just not on her at the moment. If anyone has any objections, let me know and I will change it back! whee
Also, I like the "spoiler" thing. Thanks for that, Rush! Makes this look considerably more orderly.))

Karinda shouted in surprise and grasped at the railing just below the mirrors as the feeling of slowly falling made her stomach churn, the movement of the elevator triggered by another summons on a floor below them.
"What event is this?" Karinda hissed, her eyes wide. She shouted again and looked up as the gentle, nearly indiscernible thud of something landing on the ceiling of the elevator.
Saiirin growled, her claws tightening on Karinda's shoulder, their talons just shy of breaking the skin beneath the hoodie's black shoulder fabric.
Their concerns turned from the ceiling to the numbers beside the door as they lit up in a descending order.
Karinda's eyes narrowed and she looked to Noci. "Well?" she began in her heavy, Old English accent. "To what doth those numbers count down?"

Karinda’s gaze darkened at Noki’s reply, her mouth twisting in a snarling frown.
“It is a care of mine,” she growled, her gaze turning to the hatch again. Plushy’s roar remained unheard within the ‘magic crate,’ drowned out by the irritating, instrumental music seemingly coming from nowhere and the many walls between the elevator and outside.
“Ready, Mrs. K?” Noki began. “On the count of three, jump!”
Thou art a fool, Karinda! Saiirin hissed in Karinda’s mind.
I am well aware of that! Karinda spat back, pulling her hand away as Noki moved to grab it.
The girl counted down. As she said “two,” Karinda let go of her sword. The blade hovered with its hilt facing the ceiling, the weapon rotating slowly. As Noki counted to three, Karinda moved both hands on the railing and jumped up so her feet rested precariously on the rail, the stale air in the elevator aiding her stance and Saiirin stretching her wings to remain balanced on Karinda’s shoulder.
The duo jerked forward slightly as their descent stopped abruptly.
“How does it make you feel, Mrs. K?”
“Feel?” Karinda snarled, jumping easily onto the floor. She grabbed the hilt of her sword and stepped menacingly toward Noki, the blade raised in front of her. “How doth I feel? How didist thou envisage I--” Karinda’s words cut off as, with a gentle ding, the doors opened. She jumped to face them, her weapon brandished before her.

(it is in the Bible...) so i had plushy say that to make saiirin blow up and explode... or burst into flames, set off fire alarm and stop the elevator..... and then you made saiirin death so she couldn't hear plushy, but he dont know that.... rolleyes ))

Now that is just being picky! xd The words "swear" and "vow" can be used interchangeably. The Bible does not state the difference/similarity of the two words, but in Matthew 5:33-37, it states, "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the lord the vows you have made.' But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one." [From the NIV translation] I like the way gotquestions.org explains these verses; "The principle here is clear for Christians: do not make vows, either to the Lord or to one another. First, we are unable to know for sure whether we will be able to keep vows. The fact that we are prone to the errors in judgment which are part of our fallen nature means that we may make vows foolishly or out of immaturity. Further, we don’t know what the future will bring—only God does. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow (James 4:14), so to make a vow that we will do or not do something is foolish."
I thought I explained it well, but I know what I was trying and wanted to say, so. In posts that are only a quote and OOC, then no spoiler is needed, like this one and yes, the one you posted before this. If there is OOC in a post with character's actions, then that goes in a spoiler only if it is longer than two lines. If the post of character actions has quotes, then those and any OOC, no matter how short, should go in spoilers, with the note "--OOC" beneath it. Make more sense?
Oh, and of course Saiirin would not have heard (not deaf, just incapable of hearing him)! If Plushy made a habit of that, buildings would have been built to be a bit more sound proof, especially since the entire town is aware of his presence. Then you have the walls of the elevator (with music playing in the elevator itself), the metal lining of the elevator shaft, insulation between the shaft and concrete walls...
Regardless, Saiirin would have neither "blown up" nor "burst into flames." She is not a Nightmare dragon from How to Train Your Dragon. Ha. Angered, yes, but from what I know, dragons do not spontaneously explode or suddenly burst into flames [excluding HTYD's Nightmares]3nodding You probably meant that metaphorically, but one never knows. xp))

Noci simply sighed upon seeing Karindas reaction, stepping out of the elevator and turning to face the sword weilding terror bucket, "you need to learn to relax, just enjoy things withought thinking how they could kill you.....Besides, lifes too short....No matter how long you live." she held her hand out once again, slower this time "And it's not like anyone is trying to kill you right now is it? so relax for a bit, i'll protect you Mrs K....I promise....yep...Promise" she beamed a childish smile at her, it had been far too long since she had a friend, she just hoped she liked her back.

"Took you long enough" Willow commented dryly as Robin shoved aside what was left of the door, dragging the dry-mud Mohindah behing hid as he attempted to brushed an almost equal amount of wet mud off of himself. "Oh, sure, thanks for the charming victory speach, its harder when you can't kill them y'know" Robin replied, flicking some dirt towards Willow who simply moved a shadow to swat it aside. "Your point has been noted, now if it is quite alright with you dear Robin" grabbing hold of his shoulder they were gone in a flash of black.

((Yeah, it is a mild godmod, but one that could be easily worked around if I wanted to have Karinda not be pulled back inside. Because of Karinda's reactions, though, Shen would have had to bent down to touch her cheek. If you do not mind, I am going to incorporate that slight action. However, please remember that I want the character picture posted no more than once per page!
By the way, did you get Shen's new bio typed up? Oh, and I guess our characters are not on the ground floor. xd
Rikku, I would love to 'see' the fight, but the post is fine without it, so it is all good. smile))

Karinda watched Noci with wary eyes as the seemingly young girl stepped out of the elevator and spoke.
Karinda took a deep breath and held it for a short moment as Saiirin spoke to her.
Karinda, I know thy thoughts, Saiirin warned. The red oaf has no trust for the girl. As much as it pains me to admit, the wretch's distrust--
I know. But... She let the thought fade and exhaled, letting the sword's point fall toward the floor.
"Noki, prithee understand," Karinda began, her expression grave despite the girl's beaming smile. "Everything within this world thou knowest so well is as foreign to me as a desert to a trout." She stepped forward and slowly grasped Noki's hand. "The last year I knew--"
Before she could finish, air tingled behind her a second before a hand pulled her back inside the elevator, Karinda's hand releasing Noki's as she stumbled back into the elevator.
With a growl form Saiirin and a snarl from Karinda, the girl spun around, her sword held above her. In the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of a man looking to be in his early twenties, his short hair a striking blue. Before she could get any better of a look at him, the air in the elevator shifted and he disappeared.
With her hand held up to indicate for Noki to stay where she stood, Karinda opened her mouth to speak and moved to step back out, but the elevator suddenly lurched downward, the doors still open.
Karinda screamed and dropped to her hands and knees, Saiirin's claws digging into her skin.
The small dragon hissed and spat, her back hunching like a cats as the man reappeared, a look of surprise adorning his face.
Karinda ignored the man as he spoke, her concentration turning to envisioning the bottom of the box the best she could. Commanding the air beneath it to form a cushion, the elevator's descent slowed as the man bent and touched her cheek.
Karinda snarled, Saiirin moving to bite the man's arm as the girl pulled her face away from him.
Karinda stood, her sword in hand as the man turned his back to her. She glanced to the doors, the way out blocked by the metal wall of the elevator shaft.
"Would you mind telling me your name?" the man asked.
Karinda snorted. "I hath no reason to tell thee my name!" she hissed, placing her elven-made sword to the man's back. "Thou hath threatened me with plummeting to oblivion. I owe thou no such information! Who art thou, and what dost thou desire with me?" She pressed the tip of the blade harder into his back, making an indentation in his long coat.
She commanded the air beneath them to lower, the elevator jerking downward slowly a few inches at a time, the girl hoping another doorway would appear.

"MRS K!" Noci Called in surprise as the woman was dragged from her reach and into the elevator 'No! not when everything was going so well'. Seeing the lft suddenly drop out of view Noci's years of instinct took over, grabbing the large rug that seemed to stretch endlessly along the hallway she dug her nails into it and with a sharp tug, ripped it off of the ground and flung it down into the elevator shaft, just as it came close to running out she rammed the metal pole through the rug and into the floor. 'I'm coming Mrs K, i'm coming' she grabbed onto the rug and began climbing down the elevator shaft with it. She wasn't going to lose another friend, not today.
