The fact that both Pokemon had yet to take any damage whatsoever made this battle rather intriguing to Miharu, as well as Leroy who was still quietly watching the match from the sidelines. Despite that, Miharu knew it was still likely to be her toughest match, as her previous battle with Chuck at Cianwood City had been the same. Sparkle's Confuse Ray had worked like a charm and now the Skarmory was all turned around, and Miharu felt a little more at ease as she watched the Steel/Flying-type's wayward Air Cutter hit the ground quite a ways from where the Light Pokemon stood. "Sparkle, let's use Thunderbolt again," the green-haired girl called, smiling lightly. She felt confident, but she certainly didn't want to jinx herself, especially not this early in the battle. Static rolled over the Ampharos' body, her tail light flashing brightly before she directed a powerful bolt of electricity up into the air where the Skarmory was. She very much wanted to be the first one to score a knockout as she knew it could very well set the tone for the remainder of the battle.

He's not very happy. said a ghost. They now began to rise from the floor, wrapping their shadowy arms around the room, surrounding the two boys. The phantoms covered the lights, casting a shadow on them.
"I know this." Mike replied. "Thank you."
He hates you. Another commented.
"Well why shouldn't he!?" he snapped back. "I'd hate me, too ya know!" The ghost was taken aback by the boy's volume. "The real question isn't if he hates me or not, but why has it taken him this long to figure it out." He looked over at Keegan, forgetting for a moment that he was in the room. "Agh, sorry. They get loud sometimes. It's very distracting. Also dark." Mike squinted to get a better look at his friend, who was set against the wall holding his hand. "I bet I can guess a few of the words." he said with a weak smile, trying so hard to let the gravity of the situation sink in.
"Is there anything I can do to keep you as a friend, Keegan?" Mike said softly. "I understand if you don't want anything to do with me, and you might not believe me, but you're really important to me and I don't think I could have gotten through this without you being there."
"Just...tell me what to do."

Now that her embarrassment had faded Jasmine could see that Miharu was indeed pretty confident, though she was remaining level headed and definitely not acting over confident. The gym leader winced at the call for Thunderbolt and quickly looked up to her Skarmory, but there was no way it could dodge in his confused state. The bolt of electricity struck the steel-type head on and it shrieked out in pain, unable to right itself and ended up falling from the sky and crashing to the ground with a painful-sounding thud. It managed to get back up again, shakily and still sparking with leftover electricity, but the fall seemed to have snapped it back to its senses. "Skarmory, use Aerial Ace," Jasmine called. They had to land some hits as it wouldn't be good to be down one Pokemon while Miharu's first still hadn't taken any damage. The armor clad bird let out an angry screech and moved forward, its wings carrying it just off the ground as it zoomed in towards the Ampharos, wings and claws glowing with a bright, white light. * * * * * Katie watched, her ruby eyes sparkling with admiration for her Floatzel as his powerful Aqua Jet hit home, sending the opposing Staravia to the ground in a clump of wet feathers and dirt. Miles had certainly gained plenty of strength and speed with his evolution, and Katie couldn't wait to see him in action at the Veilstone City gym. Unfortunately that would have to wait as she still had her initiation mission from Mai to complete, but for now, she was going to focus on defeating this boy. His Staravia had gotten up and was now in the process of using Wing Attack. The bird was fast and had no trouble hitting Miles this time, and the Floatzel cried out in pain. He wasn't done yet, however stepping forward and slashing the air with his fins.
"Let's finish it off," Katie said, still smiling. "Use Crunch!" Miles let out a cry and raced forward, mouth gaping open. His fangs began to glow with a dark and sinister hue and he bit down on his target, causing it to shriek out in pain before fainting. Not one to cause unnecessary damage Miles released the bird and backed off, eyeing the boy as he recalled it.
"You got lucky that time," he said, eyes narrowed. "But this time will be different, it's your turn, go!" With a flick of his wrist his next Pokemon was released, and Katie found herself becoming involuntarily angry for it was the annoying yellow rodent she despised so much: Pikachu.

Oh, that Shinx is tougher than I thought, Kasiya mused, eyes still wide with glee at the sight of the Electric-type. Things weren't looking too good for Calliope at this point, though, but Kasiya didn't mind. The Tropius was still young and had a lot to learn. "Let's try something different, use Fly!" she called. Calliope cooed, still smarting a bit from that Spark attack, and her leafy wings carried her easily into the sky where she eyed the Shinx, very wary of the spirited little kitten. Kasiya's gaze fell back to the Shinx, still wearing a smile. Calliope hadn't landed very many hits on Zaira and had taken several strong ones, and she wasn't sure how many more the Tropius could take. I'd love to raise a Shinx, she thought, the stubbornness of the Pokemon not a problem with her. After all, she'd raised Shocker from a young Pikachu to, well, a relatively hotheaded Raichu and some of her other Pokemon were a bit on the stubborn side too, namely a certain blue penguin that went by the name of Alphonse.
Both Karrigan and Zaira's gazes traveled up as the Tropius went airborne, neither seemingly able to believe that such a bulky-looking Pokemon could fly so effortlessly. Now, Zaira had no ranged attacks whatsoever so they would be unable to attack again until the Tropius came back down to the ground. We could just use Charge again, Karrigan thought, but she didn't want Zaira taking the hit, either. "Sit tight and get ready to dodge," Karrigan told the Shinx, though to be truthful, she wouldn't have been surprised at all if the Shinx chose to do what she wanted again anyway. Kasiya had been right about Pokemon and people sometimes not being suited for one-another - the Shinx was headstrong and stubborn, and even though Karrigan was fond of her, she knew that such a Pokemon would be better off being raised by someone else.
=-=-=-=-= The female Rocket shook her head, still put-off by Mazarin's "offers," but she didn't say much else, instead pushing her green hair out of her eyes and watching as both the boy's Pokemon evaded the dual Thunder Fangs. The Honchkrow sped up as high as the cavern ceiling would allow before making a quick turn and starting to dive-bomb her Mightyena. Houndoom, in the meantime, found itself on the wrong end of a painful Aqua Jet thanks to the Sharpedo. It was clearly rattled and had difficulty getting up again, though it did so and unleashed a putrid Smog attack at the annoying shark-thing under the Rocket girl's command.
"A date with you?" she scoffed. "I don't think so. Mightyena, you use Swagger and confuse that Honchkrow!" Mightyena took the beating from the Big Boss Pokemon's wings, but he recovered quickly, taking a few quick steps back and puffing out his chest. He followed it up with a challenging snarl, refusing to give even an inch to his opponent. Leo, meanwhile, had delegated the task of bringing down the hollow portion of the wall to another Rocket grunt, listening carefully to the distant sounds of battle. The intruder appeared to be tough, but that was all right with him. He was still annoyed at having failed at Slateport, and taking some of that anger out this foolish kid would definitely help to alleviate some of that stress.

The weird onion head pokemon moved so swiftly that Robin didn't even see it. One moment Black*Star was about to bite down hard then next he was pushed back as the Meditite slammed it's fist it's his side. The Big Jaw pokemon growled as it picked itself up off the ground. He was practically fuming now, hoping back and forth almost bursting at the seams to take down the other pokemon.
"Black*Star use Aerial Ace!" Robin called out. She might need to start working on controlling Black*Stars temper if he started acting up like this more often. Ever since he had evolved he had been almost butting heads with everyone. Still maybe he was just excited to battle? In her arms the bug pokemon watched the battle with determined blue eyes. Was this what he was born to do? Battle like this? He wasn't sure on that, though the thought did excite him. He wasn't nearly as agile as those two on the field. He felt a sort of inner fire flare in him as he watched the blue one, that was apparently on their side, run forward and punch with a sort of white blur on it's clawed fist.
~~~~~~~~~~
Sighing Dante looked over at the group that had followed him outside. They were an odd bunch, Even if they were weird though Dante was pretty sure that they didn't have any poor intentions. Reaching into the bag at his side he pulled out Apollo's pokeball and held it for a moment deciding if he was really going to release the Rapidash for them. He wasn't much for showing off. Apollo was a very impressive sight, even more so since Angelic had made him contest ready the other day. Still though, every time he used the fire horse it always attracted more attention then he liked.
Then again these were the people it had attracted last time. Not really seeing the harm in it he tossed the pokeball out releasing the impressive stallion in a burst of sparkles and flames. The group with the cartoon Ponyta shirts just oo'd and ah'd at the appearance of his first pokemon. Apollo himself, having always been a little skittish pranced nervously and cast an eye towards his trainer. "It's fine Apollo." Dante muttered. Reaching into a bag to take a cigarette out he watched as the group slowly approached the large pokemon and careful of the flames pet the soft white fur.
"Do you mind if we release our Ponyta?" One of the few girls of the group asked as she pet the calming down but now a little upset at all the hands Apollo.
Dante shrugged as he lit up the cancer stick. "Sure knock yourselves out." For all his flippant attitude though he was keeping a careful watch on the group.
After the speedy and hard blow from the Aerial Ace the Meditite stumbled back a little actually getting on it's feet instead of just hovering there. It seemed like these two were a lot stronger then they looked. The Meditate pokemon watched the excited blue croc bounce on it's feet practically ready to spring at it from any direction. Still the Meditite waited, he trusted his trainer, well more then this pokemon who seemed to practically be biting at the bit to just rush him. "Meditite use Confusion!" The fighting pokemon nodded and got himself into position to strike as the redheaded girl called for the Croconaw to use Ice Fang.
The two pokemon acted out their attacks. The Croconaw grinned as he surged forward mist coming from his large jaws as the huge teeth iced over. Meditite for his part focused in his power and let forth a blast of purple. The blast hit the Croconaw who stumbled slightly and winced but didn't let that stop him. He recovered his stance and continued to charge. Getting close enough the water starter clamped his large jaw around the Meditite's arm and shook his head viciously before letting go. The Meditite frowned as it felt the icey coldness spread down his arm. Realizing that they had just got extremely lucky he did his best to stop the icy flow with his psychic powers before the ice spread to far. The psychic pokemon manged it but his arm was still frozen and useless now. Growling he looked up in time to see the redheaded trainer had called for another attack while he had been focusing on his arm. There was nothing he could do, the pokemon was in such close range and his speed and attack had been so boosted by his little dance earlier that he couldn't dodge the sharp claws. The last thing he saw before he fell was the blue pokemon's aggressive grin.
"Yay Black*Star you did it!" Robin cheered as she ran over to her pokemon Zuko still in her arms as she put the little bug down and enveloped her strong pokemon in her arms in a fierce hug. "You are so great!" She was his number one fan after all!
The Hiker laughed heartily as he watched the two and he recalled his pokemon. "Well you two are quite the pair."
Looking up at the man Robin gave him a big grin as well. "Hey your pokemon sure was impressive to! I have never seen a pokemon stop a status effect like that before. I didn't even think it was possible!" She really hadn't, that sure was something to think about now wasn't it?
~~~~~~~~~~
Dante watched as the girl ran over and a few of them got pretty excited as they release their own Ponyta. It was here though that Dante gave a few of them odd looks. The Ponyta were all pretty young, Dante guessed that they were caught not to long ago, and they all had strange colors. He was pretty sure that they weren't shiny pokemon, the release of sparkles that were normally there when he release Apollo just wasn't there. They must have died their pokemon's fur that color then, which was pretty odd. Then again these didn't really look like Ponyta would ever go into battle, which was a bit sad since a few of them looked like they really wanted or needed a good battle. Frowning though Dante didn't say anything though, just because he disagreed with the way they were raising their pokemon didn't mean he was going to say anything.
'Those are funny colors.' A voice chimed in Dante's head.
'Your a funny color, now ssh, I thought I told you guys to not talk to me. Going to drive me crazy if you do.'
There was a general rumbling in the back of his head like when a kid is told he can't have a sweet but Dante didn't hear any other comments in the back of his mind. Instead he heard a voice to the side of him again. It was that nervous girl again. Glancing over he gave her a look that clearly said that he hadn't heard a word she had just said.
"Oh um, I was wondering what your favorite character was. You have a super special rare Rapidash so I figured..." She trailed off looking a little embarrassed.
"Never heard of it." Dante muttered taking the last drag from his cig before he put it out in a nearby ashtray.
The girl looked a bit surprised at that but then a little disappointed. "Oh, well, it's really good you should watch it! Your Rapidash kinda looks like one of the characters in it!"
Dante eyed her for a moment before looking away, one of the trainers was getting a little to close for his comfort to Apollo. "I am old enough to not watch cartoons and kid shows anymore." He muttered. "What is your friend doing to my Pokemon?" He asked not quite sure and pretty sure he didn't want to know.

The Hiker just laughed and scratched his head. "Yeah my Meditite sure is something else. I think it might have just worked because it was ice though. It would be a bit harder to do with paralysis wouldn't it?" The Hiker and Robin both grinned at that and talked a little more. Robin made sure to get directions through the cave, which turned out to be just go straight through it. The two waved goodbye as Robin, Ampersand, Luffy and Zuko stepped into the cave.
"The caves here seem to be pretty disappointing." Robin muttered, she was always hearing horrors stories from the other kids about traveling through caves, these ones just seemed to be over as soon as you entered them. Heck Robin could see the exit from here all ready! In her arms Zuko was giving off a relaxing heat while Luffy had curled his tails around her to keep a better grip as he rested on her shoulder. Even though he was normally excitable his trainer was right, these caves were pretty boring.
"Actually this is really just one long cave." Ampersand offered. " MT. Coronet cuts this region in half. When you are going further north you need to actually use the caves in order to get to Snowpoint."
Robin was silent for a moment as they walked, now halfway through the tiny cave. "Oh, well, um, I don't have to travel through that for a while right?"
"That's the place you need to take me through when you get your gym badges." Ampersand offered to her with a bit of a grin.
"Oh cool. You already told me that didn't you?" Robin asked embarrassed a bit.
"I did but that's ok. You just focus on your training and getting those badges. Your doing great so far. If our luck holds out you will be battling for your third by this time tomorrow."
"Righto! I won't let you down Ampersand!" Robin cheered as they made their way out of the cave and back into sunlight. Even though the cave was pretty short it looked like there were tons of trainers practically waiting outside of it to battle anyone who came out. "I don't think we are going to make it through this without a battle." Robin frowned slightly as she stared at the group.
~~~~~~~
The girl looked over at where Dante was watching one of the others who seemed to be doing something around Apollo's left flank. "Oh, I don't know. I think he might be looking to see if-" Dante promptly cut her off ignoring her now as he went over to where the guy was and going along side he frowned and felt a brief spike of anger coarse through him as he saw Apollo's now messed up fur. "What do you think you are doing to my Pokemon?" Dante asked his tone conveying that this guy better have a good answer.
"Oh! I saw that you hadn't gotten around to putting on your Pokemon's evo mark yet so I decided to put it on for you." The guy gave Dante a smile. He was acting like he had done Dante a favor or something.
"My pokemon's what? Look, don't draw on other peoples pokemon unless they say it's ok." Dante bit out as he glared at the other.
"What's your problem. I was doing you a favor man!" The kid was getting a little defensive and both Dante and him both looked like they were about to get into a fight, and not the pokemon kind. It was a good thing that an annoyed Apollo stepped in at that time and the large Rapidash stepped between the two, wisely the fire horse kept the side without the drawing on Dante's side.
"See look your Rapidash wants me to finish it!" Unfortunately Apollo's actions had the totally wrong effect. Dante growled and was very close to doing something more in character with his redheaded friend then was for him.
"You don't draw on peoples pokemon! You didn't even ask!" Dante bit out once again.
Looking down at the group Ampersand couldn't help but agree with Robin. "I think your right." It was a good thing he had given them such a large time for battles. "Well why don't you walk down there and see who challenges you?" Ampersand suggested as he looked at the variety spread down below.
Robin frowned at that, why was she always the one who was getting challenged. Couldn't she challenge a trainer for once? Well she was about to change that! Without waiting Robin hopped down the path with Luffy grinning excitedly at the prospect of a battle and Zuko now starting to wake up again. Gathering up her courage she put on her best serious face, which wasn't very serious at all, and issued her first normal pokemon trainer challenge that wasn't with her friends or a gym leader. "Hello! Can we have a pokemon battle!"
The lady Robin had challenged looked up at her a bit surprised. She wasn't used to being asked. She usually waited around here to train her pokemon against trainers who came out of the cave. Still she was mostly looking forward to training her newly hatched pokemon today, not looking for a serious battle like this. "Ok, As a trainer and a pokemon breeder I cannot let any challenge go unanswered." Standing up she brushed off her apron and looked down at the small purple pokemon who was peaking out from behind her legs. " I was just going to train this little guy today but he can learn from watching battles to."
Robin herself looked down pretty curious at what the little thing was. It kinda looked like a Mr. Mime. Doing the grab-the-pokedex-in-the-bag-while-juggling-a-Pokemon-shuffle Robin managed to flip it open and scan the little guy in. The informative red dex told her it was a Mime Jr. "Did he just hatch?" Robin asked curiously. "My, well they think it's a Larvesta, hatched earlier today!" Robin excitedly exclaimed as she shoved Zuko forward for the lady to examine.
A bit startled at the cheerful girls actions she took a step back and eyed the strange bug in front of her. "Ah yes he doesn't look very old." The breeder got an idea at that. "Hey, since both of our pokemon are pretty young what do you think about battling with them?"
Robin hadn't really thought of that. She really wasn't sure about that either. She had barely had Zuko at all and she didn't even know any of his attacks! The Pokedex couldn't really help her here. "Oh I don't know, He really is just hatched. I don't even know any of his moves." Plus she just remembered she was supposed to bring him to meet up with someone in Veilstone tomorrow. If he got hurt they might take him away from her! "No, I really can't battle with him. Can we just have a one on one battle with our other pokemon?
"Of course we can. I am ready whenever you are." Maybe the girl was right, if her pokemon had just hatched a little while ago it shouldn't battle right away.
~~~~~~~~~
"Well I figured you were a fan of the show. Why else would you have a Rapidash, and a shiny one at that. I mean they aren't exactly the strongest pokemon out there." The kid just shrugged, how was he acting like Dante was doing something wrong.
It was then that Dante let out a sound that sounded like a mix between an angry wet Skitty and a Muk as he lunged at the other guy. He wasn't quite sure what was wrong with him, normally he would have just insulted the kid but for some reason this annoying pretentious kid was really getting on his nerves. Apollo who had been insulted was making no move from stopping his trainer from getting into a fist fight with this other boy. In fact the Fire Horse pokemon was pretty flattered that his trainer did care that much about him. He knew Dante was a bit distant but cared, it was nice to see it sometimes though.
Unfortunately Dante was not the best fighter in the world. That was why, among a lot of other reasons, he had traveled with Keegan who did like to fight. It was an unlucky stroke of luck that the other kid wasn't that great either. The fight didn't last long and soon both of them were separated from each other. The Nurse Joy of this center did not seem amused by their antics and promptly kicked them both out. Huffing in irritation Dante went to the side of the building and sat down on the ground his back against the wall and in the shade. Pulling out a cigarette he lit another one up and took a long pull from it.
"My face hurts." He muttered to no one in particular.

“Nah, that sounds about right!” Scarlet nodded after Jasper finished his story. That egg fairy had totally gotten around, that was for sure. It even added to the perfect storm of confusion that was their bandanna wearing companion’s team. A ditto and a shapeshifty Zorua meant you could never be truly sure what in the world you battling. And he was sure to be smart enough to make whatever unlucky soul who had to battle him very unhappy, or at the very least confused. Scarlet grinned when the centipede was released from his sphere, even if the little bug wasn’t all that happy to see him. The stories shared were short, but similar, and the redhead figured maybe he should share too.
He pulled back his jacket to reach the semi-circle of spheres on his belt, tapping them in order to release his team. Before long, there was a cheerful red fish nibbling on food pellets, a moderately grumpy ball of gas hovering over Scarlet’s shoulder, and most importantly to the current conversation track, a somehow confused looking navy blue rock with a massive hole in its torso. “This is Sledge, my uh. Roggenrola,” Scarlet started while the little guy let out a click, beginning to spin around to get a bearing on his surroundings. “His egg just happened to fall on my head,” he muttered, lacing fingers through his hair to feel the rather large bump on his scalp. “Couldn’t tell yah where it came from, but I imagine he’s from the same place as Viy and Zorua.”
The roggenrola slowly shuffled toward the shade and safety of The Loud One’s chair. This whole party was a bit much for his taste.

Now that his anger and adrenaline had subsided, his hand began to ache with a new yet familiar pain and the redhead sighed, flexing his fingers carefully to test them. All the moving parts seemed to be in painful, working order so it probably meant that nothing was broken, and Keegan sighed, shaking his head. Mike had started to speak again and he glanced up, quickly realizing that the boy wasn't talking to him and he looked around almost expectantly for another presence. Of course, there wasn't any that he could see and he gazed back over at Mike, only able to give a quick, single nod in reply.
"What to do?" the redhead repeated quietly, his voice now completely free of anger. "I don't think there's anything you can do, Mike. And that's not your fault. I guess... I guess I just need some time. Time to clear my head and get past all of this. We'll be okay someday, I'm actually pretty sure of that, because even after everything, and even though I'm sure I have the right, I don't hate you. I don't think I could ever hate you. I guess I'm just more disappointed than anything at this point, y'know? So yeah. Just give me some time."
Keegan glanced out the doorway to the hall, knowing the two girls were likely in the vicinity, as neither had ever been very good at doing what they were asked, and a quick, fleeting smile passed over his lips. "And Kassie, well, I'm only gonna warn you once: if you hurt her, I'm coming after you. With a high-pressure water cannon. Or an army of Blastoise." He sighed and shifted his position against the wall, leaning back so he was looking at the ceiling. His head was still aching though it wasn't nearly as bad as it was before the egg had appeared to him, and he wondered how long he'd be able to keep pretending that he'd been the one to deliver the Litwick's egg to Mike.
That thought, however, triggered another memory and he sat bolt upright, knowing very well that he'd likely pay for what he was about to say, but she was to let anyone help her, it'd probably be Mike. "That reminds me," he said, slowly getting to his feet. "She's hiding it pretty well, but Kasiya's actually pretty broken right now. You remember that kid, Jaeshan? Tall, blonde, lanky, rich. Pretty good trainer and all. Well, he's a good friend of hers and we heard on the news last night that he went overboard out at sea, and they're presuming him to be dead, since it's been so long and they haven't found him yet." He cleared his throat and looked out the doorway again, certain Kasiya and Flannery were listening to his every word. "Not only that, but back at Slateport, Shocker was stolen from her by Mai and she hasn't been able to get her back yet. She hasn't told anyone about it yet, either, because she doesn't want to burden them. Thought you ought to know." ===== It had been very satisfying for Miharu to watch the Thunderbolt sail through the air and strike the Skarmory, bringing it crashing to the ground with a heavy thud. It wasn't done yet though, quickly getting to its feet and beginning to execute an Aerial Ace on Jasmine's command. Miharu was no stranger to the move Aerial Ace, as she'd taught it to both Tingle and Aska. Thinking about her Pidgeot, however, made an odd, almost panicky feeling start to build up in her stomach but she couldn't explain it. All she could do was watch as the armor-clad bird closed in on Sparkle, ready to strike. "Hang in there, Sparkle, and counter with a Thunderpunch while it's still close!" she called.
The large, yellow Electric-type braced herself, crying out from the sharp claws and beak as they tore into her. She still felt pretty strong, however, rearing back with her flipper before she thrust it forward, attempting to smash the Skarmory with the electrified strike.

There were dozens of questions coursing through Alex’s mind. Could bug types carry rabies? Exactly how dangerous was an angry caterpillar? Did they have teeth? If so, were those teeth strong enough to crunch through a charmander’s head to get at the brain matter below? She sincerely hoped that all those ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions would be in the negative, but the fire in that caterpie’s eye was far different from pretty much any she’d ever seen before.
I wonder just how dangerous this thing actually is, she thought to herself as she slipped her bag off her shoulders and reached in for her pokedex, aiming the built in camera at the Worm Pokemon. Possible moves and basic strength, speed, and defense statistics popped up on the screen, and her fears were allayed considerably. “Kressen!” she called out, staring at the paltry three moves on the list. “All it should know are Tackle and String Shot, so if you’re really careful, you should be okay! … And okay, it might have Bug Bite if it’s really strong, but you can maybe win anyway!” After a moment of thinking though, she winced, noticing that Gigas was basically being eaten alive. “I really hope it’s not using that right now.”
The phrase ‘bug bite’ sent another shiver down the Kadabra’s spine. He spared Ivy a glance before nodding toward the vicious, raving insectoid menace, as if to explain in the simplest of terms why bugs were awful, terrifying creatures that disturbed him on the deepest level imaginable.
In the meantime, Roll had gathered herself off the ground, catching her breath and relieving herself of a few last snickers, only to see that angry little caterpillar gnawing on Gigas like a piece of jerky. She didn’t like the way the battle was going, as there was something fundamentally depressing about a burning lizard losing to a bug. So she let out a horrible screech, and a focused blast of disorienting sound waves that sounded like a Scyther losing a particularly vicious fight with a chalk board zoomed in toward the worm pokemon, hopefully softening it up considerably for Gigas.

Jasmine winced a little, realizing pretty quickly that it was probably a bad idea to have sent her Skarmory in close range with the Ampharos as there was literally nothing they could do to stop Sparkle's Thunderpunch from hitting home. Again, Skarmory's cries filled the battle arena, and Jasmine knew it wouldn't be much longer before she'd be switching Pokemon in this battle. 'Skarmory can't beat Ampharos, so we might as well soften her up for my next Pokemon,' she thought, wearing a grim smile.
"Okay Skarmory, it's time to use Metal Sound!" she called. Skarmory, looking considerably weaker than before, gave an even weaker nod before it hopped back, taking in a large amount of air before its steely maw gaped open and a horrible, piercing sound rang out through the air. * * * * * "I really, really hate Pikachu," Katie grumbled through clenched teeth, unable to keep herself from glaring at Austin, who merely grinned, clearly happy that he had hit some sort of sore spot on the seemingly tough girl. "Miles, use Sonic Boom," the orange haired girl growled. The Floatzel, slightly wary of the electrical sparking coming from the cute yellow mouse grit his teeth and then spun around, sending out a wave of sound which sped towards the Pikachu.
"Pikachu, dodge and use Double Team," Austin countered, still looking quite confident. Pikachu was easily able to avoid the oncoming Sonic Boom and did just that, showing off his (its tail lacked the odd heart pattern so Katie knew it was male) agility. Once he'd evaded successfully he gave a cry and he started to run off in all directions, and much to Katie's annoyance there were now five of the irritating yellow rats to deal with.

"Hmm? Alright..." Crenu said as Riza kissed him, feeling his heart start to race as her lips lingered on his cheek. Damn it, she really knew how to push his buttons sometimes. He wasn't sure where she was headed, but all the girls were heading in that direction following Kasi and that other girl, whatever her name was he didn't really care. He really didn't have any plans so perhaps taking the time to train while they did whatever they did was a good idea. He'd already been doing it with Elgyem, sort of, and he had a new Muk that needed to be tested. So that was the goal for now. Crenu walked off in the opposite direction of the girls until he found a nice area near the center to let out his pokemon, the big purple sludge monster taking form before him. the puddle oozed outwards and expanded like a puddle of bubbling goop, resembling a spilled oil drum and very thin in nature before it started to contract and pull itself in, rising from the ground into the more semi solid form Muk were normally known as. It let out a big sloppy yawn, the goop making a sick sound as it pulled apart and smacked as it's odor was released ten fold from it's mouth, however Crenu didn't flinch apparently unbothered by it. "Alright Muk...you're mine now. We have some work to do." However the Muk didn't really seem to listen, and was looking off to the side more interested in the bird pokemon sitting in the nearby trees going about their day.
"..." Crenu looked at Muk but Muk didn't notice, as it Crenu wasn't talking to him, which was to be expected of a traded pokemon from time to time but this was more like he didn't even know he was being talked to. "Damn it...don't make me do it." He said under his breath as the baby Elgyem looked at the poisonous mass curiously, hovering around Crenu watching it carefully from behind him. Crenu gritted his teeth and sighed before he finally called it by name. "Bubbles..." At once the Muk turned to face Crenu and even seemed to smile. "...Uhg. Alright Bubbles, first things first, we gotta change your name to something else." The Muk would have none of that though, and immediately turned into a liquid like runny puddle of slime, looking sad as it started to move away. "Are you seriously that attached to that name? It's so...so bad. Wouldn't you rather be just Muk?" He continued to sink deeper and looked depressed, his old trainer didn't think it was a bad name and he liked it! "...s**t. Fine whatever. Be Bubbles if you want." The poison type jumped back up in joy at his victory, bounding over to Crenu as if to give him a hug, the blond trainer having to roll to the side to avoid getting smothered by the living gunk. Elgyem cried out as she, who had been hiding behind Crenu, got the full force of the hug instead, flashing her fingers frantically in horror. But the attack wasn't really an attack at all, and soon she found that Bubbles' embrace was a good one, her frantic flashing and cried turned to those of laughter. "Never thought I'd see a psychic type and poison type getting along so well. Oh well." he pulled a cigaret from his pocket and lit it, the training vibe completely drained by the scene of a Muk smothering a little alien looking thing with hugs. "This won't do at all, having a nicknamed pokemon throws off the solidarity of the team in terms of title. I'm gonna have to name them all now." Crenu took a deep drag from the cigarette as he set out to think, five pokemon to name, and they would have to be good ones. Come to think of it, his two new members were getting to know each other, the others would have to as well. Fearow and Pupitar were the only two that were still like he was in his ways of thinking, the other two were much friendlier. He wasn't sure that was a good thing at all, he was starting to loose his grasp on things.

Crenu proceeded to release Swinub and Froslass from their pokeballs, deciding that Fearow and Pupitar didn't need to be let out for a meeting, those two wouldn't care anyway and he liked that about them. The pig pokemon immateriality buried his nose in the ground to try and escape the overpowering odor of Bubbles, his heightened sense of smell making things particularly difficult. Froslass however seemed to handle it better, and while at first she hid in the ground next to Swinub to watch the big moving sludge, and while it was rolling around with another pokemon playfully, the other pokemon didn't make her feel any more comfortable either. "Bubbles, knock it off. The both of you, fall in with the rest. Now." Froslass and Swinub did so quickly, though Froslass still remained half sunken in the ground while Swinub tried to resist the urge to dig into the ground again, settling for plugging his nose with a clump of dirt instead. Bubbles looked around for a moment before he caught on and lined up next to the two, oblivious to the fact that he was causing them both distress. Elgyem, unbothered by the smell it seemed, floated over to Crenu instead and into his arms. Crenu looked at her sternly but her rather expressionless face just stared back at him and he sighed, giving in and holding her, much to her delight.
"Alright. This is Bubbles, the Muk. Deal with the stench, it's natural. This is Froslass and Swinub." He said pointing to each pokemon respectively. Froslass gave Bubbles a nervous wave, while Swinub gave him a friendly nudge with his nose, nearly passing out as the dirt clump got sucked into Muk's body. "And this is Elgyem. She's a newborn, so she'll need some closer attention. Ariados will no longer be with us, I traded her to another trainer, and got Bubbles in return. Hopefully he will work out better, keep that as a reminder that if anyone fall behind or doesn't fit, I will find someone who does. I don't know what your relationship with Kasi was like, but for whatever reason she decided to trade you to me for Ariados. I'm not her. The sooner you understand that the easier it'll be to change to my liking. You're all part of the same team now, and the team directive remains unchanged. We will grow stronger and stronger, until our power is unmatched. That is all. Ah, that's right. Bubbles is a Muk with a name, so now I'm tasked with naming the rest of you. Otherwise it's going to bother me. Now, go about while I think. Train amongst yourselves. Froslass, work on your stronger moves. Swinub, practice with Muk...I mean Bubbles. Both of you are physical so you should be able to strengthen each other in that aspect. Don't let his small size fool you Bubbles, Swinub packs a punch. Go!" With that the pokemon scattered, and Crenu was left to ponder while Elgyem playfully levitated small rocks around in circles, like some kind of children's mobile that would hang over a crib.
