I thought he split off after we left, like about halfway there. I mean he followed us on the rooftops didn't he? ( Which I don't think I actually ever made that post... ) If he split off from us before we even went to the rooftops, I need to edit my post.

Also, Your Grappling hook is made of metal. I find it slightly difficult using it to escape. If you're standing close enough, Laxus could actually use it to his advantage and make it twirl around you. It'd be comical, and hopefully it'd give me an edge. ( I know he can't twirl it around you, but if it launches hard enough if he moves the trajectory, it'll naturally spin around you like a tetherball. Centripetal force and acceleration for the win! =D ) Worst case scenario he makes the hook just shoot out and go down, not moving you at all. I think your launcher would be much more annoying to deal with instead. Laxus has minimal control at the time, and launching more than one in rapid succession could actually kill or wound him. Long story short, You'd probably end up killing Laxus off, which makes me sad as a roleplayer, and glad that I could actually learn something without a snide remark ( Oh wait, I'd be killed by the snide little twerp character... ) or without misunderstanding. ( I'd have to be a special kind of person to not understand YOU ARE DEAD at age 17. )

Just going to change the subject to avoid an uncalled for debate. I feel that Kensei would actually get along well with Shikaku and start to act awkward around Sora whenever this mission is over.

And I knew that part too. I do understand techs, I just can't come up with my own, been spoiled by Warforged in D&D, so I'm not against robots existing in this kinda setting. ^^"

Also, I'm pretty sure you're still on top for the misunderstanding board. That is, I've probably misunderstood much more than you have, probably my month is above you compared to your entire roleplaying career. xD

Anyone know of any good web comics? I read a couple of them, some of them are more girly and female aimed than I'd like to admit. I think thepunchlineismachismo is an even trade for all the estrogen filled comics though.

Webcomics? Try... Mokepon and Rumplestiltskin (both by H0lyhandgrenade and found on Smack Jeeves), LoZ: The Edge and The Light, LoZ: The Demon Road, Darths & Droids, Order of the Stick, Spellcross, and Awkward Zombie. I... think none of those are too girly...

Not sure you could overhear anything even with the benefit you keep referring to. By your own admission you are beyond 15 feet from Laxus so he couldnt sense you after all. I have to agree though it is a bizarre place to confess something, especially if you take measures to ensure your confession isnt heard by the person being confessed to.

The benefit I've been referring to is designed to greatly enhance a single sense, in this case, hearing, to the point it can pick up things that would normally be impossible. The short reference to sound in the benefit is "eavesdropping in a crowded marketplace", which somewhat covers the example of background noise covering it up, though he would have to focus directly on who he was trying to listen to. The range wouldn't be all that much of a problem either. As an experiment sometime, go outside with a friend and try having a quiet conversation, while gradually increasing distance between yourselves. See how far apart you can get while still speaking quietly and understand each other, then multiply that by several times for someone with that benefit.

I've never done that experiment, but I have done similar while speaking at "Inside" volume, and was still heard from quite an impressive distance. Random additional note, I had a cat a few years ago that could hear you whisper her name, and visibly react to it, from twenty feet away, with a chainsaw running between you and the cat. (And when I say running I mean actively being used to cut a log, not just sitting their running.)

Also, I've heard my mom carry on quite long conversations with random animals. Yeah, I'm pretty sure she knows they don't actually understand or care (Which makes it amusing when they "Reply"), but she's never done so in a tone so quiet the animal couldn't hear her. That would defeat the point. Course she also wasn't confessing to murder knowing full well there were others in the area she wouldn't want to know about it.

Almost all of the professions are getting massive changes, some are being removed, and there's a couple new ones under consideration, yes. If you have ideas for good additions to any of the current ones, or new ones, go ahead and post them in the custom profession thread. That's what it's there for. Don't expect any reply though, unless we need clarification on something we considered.

Inuzuka: Probably, on the smell. Not sure about the rest though.

Still a bit odd that he'd even decide that was a good time to talk about it, in the middle of a mission and all. But, eh. That seems common with him.
