His sleep was painful and Veith didn't have much energy for anything. He wasn't sure if he was awake or asleep as he listened to the noise around him. He couldn't even make out the words of the people. And then he heard some annoying voices. They were familiar and Veith struggled to listen to them to pull him out of his dream-like state since they were the voices of people he knew in reality.

The moment he opened his eyes, he saw light and almost panicked since he thought it was home and he was strapped down after some kind of experiment since usually his body was in pain as a result of it. But he wasn't at home, and the two figures standing over him were not his parents, but just Sethrian and Kamil. His body was still in pain. He tried not to show it as he sat up drowsily.

"I can't sleep with you guys being noisy around here." Veith said with a grouchy tone of voice. "If you came because you were worried, then you've wasted your time since I'm obviously fine and I'm just relishing the quiet."

They were all lies that were coming out from his mouth. Veith wondered why he was even bothering to lie to them about his condition. He should just tell them that he's still feeling horrible and send them on their merry way.

Kamil Terrace

Kamil was about to agree with Sethrian about Veith being unconscious just to be annoying, but Veith started to wake due to their voices. "Oh! He's waking up! He's awake!" Kamil cheered.

When Veith's eyes opened, he seemed to stare at both Kamil and Sethrian as if he didn't recognize them and that sent a moment of worry through Kamil's mind because maybe Veith hit his head and got some kind of amnesia! But that worry passed when Veith sat up and snapped at them with his usual cranky comments.

"Don't say that! Everyone was worried about you! It's great that you're okay though! You shouldn't scare us like that, Veith! If you were okay all this time, then the first thing you should have done was tell us!" Kamil huffed. "We even held off our visit until now just to let you rest. You know, I almost started to badger Professor Volce to let us come visit you during fifth period!? Sethrian would have helped too, right, Sethrian?"

"It was concerning to hear you were unconscious after the fight," Sethrian agreed. "As I don't have the fortitude to endure the manliness club on my own, I was very grieved by the news. It's a relief to see you aren't dead."

"Nevertheless, in spite of your protests, you hardly seem fine. And in my experience, the infirmary is rarely quiet. Besides, if you were fine all this time, why haven't you touched the fruit someone left here for you?" At least to him, the basket of fruit didn't look to have been touched at all.

Well, the obvious reason was that Veith was lying--which didn't surprise Sethrian. He likely didn't want to appear weak in front of them though, to be honest, Sethrian had never thought of him as being particularly strong in any case.

Why couldn't Sethrian just take the lie and run with it? What fruit? Who in the world would bother give Veith fruit if it wasn't these guys? Maybe it got there by accident.

"Well, I wasn't hungry." Veith said lamely. "But as you can see, there's not a scratch on me. I'm hardly injured."

He was just suffering from some setbacks from his parents' experimenting. It should go away after some time. Normally it didn't take this long, but he figured it was because of his lack of training.

"And besides, I didn't ask for you guys to go to the trouble to worry about me so I don't need to go to the trouble to keep you guys informed about my health." Veith said as he glanced down at his hands that were clutching the bed sheets.

"But whatever. I should be able to get out of here by tonight so I can sleep in the dorms." Veith said to them.

Finally, Abel reached the stupid infirmary again along with Ayu. Seems like the whole place is crowded with visitors. And saw the male blue mage already awake with his boy friends around. Those students were quite familiar because of they were in his Battle Strategy class. He put Ayu down and approached them along side with his sister. "Seems like you're finally awake, young man."

He looked at the basket of fruits. "You haven't touched what I have brought you. I thought when you wake up. You will be able to eat it and gain enough strength."

This isn't like him either!

Disgusting.

Ayu smiled when she saw Veith is finally awake. And there was Sethrian and Kamil too! Good thing Dimitri had put her down. She skipped while going forth to her friend's bed.

"Veith! I'm so glad you're finally awake." She chirped. "I was the first one who regain my consciousness before you." She stuck out her tongue while making a 'bleeehhhh' sound. Ayu looked at Dimitri then her smile widened upon knowing that he's the one who had gifted Veith a basket of fruits.

"You gave that to him?! You're so kind!" She excitedly cling on Abel's arm.

....doesn't mean that I'm happy!"

Abel gave a slight smile to her little princess after clinging unto him. He gave a small pat on her head then nod at his students. "I would be leaving her here with you." Then looking at Ayu. "After that, you should go back to bed, understand?"

Then looked at Sethrian, "She almost died... But then again.. Ayu is a fighter though frail."

Then Abel heads towards Angela's bed, as he opens the curtain..There was the midget Professor Vivian. Is there a special meeting for dwarves? He grinned while talking to himself. "Sorry I might as well leave, I'm interrupting something." He looked at Angela and nodded..

When Abel entered the room, carrying Ayu, Angela's eyes followed him all the way to Veith's bed where he began speaking with the others in his usual crabby way. Then she realized she was watching him and facepalmed. "I think I'm going to go find a hole to crawl into until I regain my sanity," she muttered.

A few minutes later, he came to her bed but seemed to be wanting to leave when he saw they were talking. "You aren't interrupting," she said a little too quickly. She kicked herself mentally. "I mean you...aren't really interrupting? We were just finishing. I was thanking Professor Sinclair for helping me earlier." She gave Vivian a sheepish look. "I'll do my best to recover. And try not to die too soon."

((Abel, if Angela could read minds you would be so dead. XDD Don't worry Vivian...Angela wants to drop kick him too. Frequently. emotion_awesome ))

Veith should have just told these idiots that he just woke up to save him from the nagging to eat. Veith was aware of his hunger and his stomach went and did a small grumble, much to Veith's annoyance.

"I was worried about trying the fruit since I wasn't sure who it was from! I'm a person that's easy to dislike after all. It could have been a childish prank." Veith lied, trying to distract everyone from hearing his stomach in case they did.

Veith was a bit irritated with Ayu for rubbing it in that she woke up earlier than he did. "Yes, yes. Good for you. Nice to know that you're well too." Veith told her dryly, deciding not to comment about being an old man as he waved her hand away.
