The brief reprieve, that had come at such a heavy cost, was gone, and the battle started up around them once again. Pasiphae, had she been the type to curse, would certainly have done so now. She kept silent, however, anger risiing steadily to mix with her fear. They wouldn't be able to look for their allies. The Great Youma and all of its supporters, human and misguided as they were, denied her and her fellow Jovians even that comfort. She looked around the group without saying a word, her maroon eyes clearly questioning: what are we going to do now?

Then Valhalla spoke, and Pasiphae nodded to show her support, keeping her words short and simple, "Tell me where to strike... and I'll do my best." Even if, as usual, she didn't know if her best was going to be enough.

The Shame Senshi kept her word, jumping into action as Ganymede attacked. She supported the Lust Senshi, grabbing the longest, sharpest piece of debris she could find and heaving it towards the attack on the eyes of the monster. It made cold, logical sense. If the creature couldn't see them... then it couldn't attack them very well either. And if multiple Senshi attacked at once, as a group... then they were far more likely to succed. Super Sailor Pasiphae may have failed all of the civilians, may still not have known where Naica and Nyx were... but for her fellow Jovians, for ALL of the forces of good... she was, for once, not going to sit back and hide behind a shield. Not unless she was forced to do so.

Two auras coalesced above the battlefield, and dropped like stones.

The image of the Surrounding that Hematite had thought of in that split second was a view from above, while he'd been riding on youma. And above the Surrounding they appeared, with a loud crack of displaced air to announce them. His oxygen-starved brain could hardly handle the logistics of what they were doing right now, and it was showing. The bloodstained metal of his gauntlets and boots were still frantically colliding with Virgo, but only now did they regain their momentum and adrenaline-fueled strength.

Valhalla watched as Pasiphae and Ganymede both agreed and aimed for its eyes, but there was another problem he saw.

Camelot's shield seemed to be stuck! As if they didn't have sucky enough weapons, and now he couldn't get it back?

"s**t, what the hell?" he cursed, moving over to his friend. "How did it get stuck there?" he sputtered, eyeing the claw that was pinning the shield down. Well, s**t, that wasn't good.

Valhalla knew he'd told the others to go for the eyes, but he had to help his friend get his weapon back. He picked up the nearest well sized rock he could find, wound up for a (hopefully) well aimed pitch, and threw his best fastball at the youma's claws, under which the shield was stuck.

“Permission Granted” He replied with a wicked look in his eyes. “Be careful, stay mindful of what it’s about to do.” He added firmly. The creature was so big by comparison there was no way that it could truly be mindful of them.

He moved foreword, assessing positions, assessing where they were strong and where they were weak before he moved into the fray to strengthen it where they would otherwise have been their weakest. Protect those who could not protect themselves.
They were the future of the Negaverse; if they were to win it would depend on their courage and ingenuity. If they failed, it would be in large part because he alone had miscalculated.

As much as Bismuthite would have loved to join the offense, he maintained his position defending the Eouma, eyeing senshi that would try attacking with narrowed, venomous eyes, and weapon at the ready.

Navi saw the knight coming, saw the arm drawing back with the shield for an attack, and she reacted. Stay together, that's what the Lieutenant had told them. Well, He wasn't that far off from their group, now was he, and attacking him was in fact defending the great beast that roared above them.

She was faster then she'd ever been before, and even in heels, over rubble strewn grounds, she sprinted towards him as he hurled his shield at their monster, shrieking her rage as she leaped at him, barreling into his side, and rode him to the ground(Hopeful) when that tall frame was turned against him. She didn't recognize him, not at first, and not as she curled pale fingers around a heavy piece of rubble and brought it up so she could use it like hammer against that age lined face.

"Camelot!" She hissed finally with recognition as she stared down at him. The knight from their fight against the shark looking Youma. He'd tried to help them all, was injured in the process, but just like all the rest, it hadn't been enough. Not by half.

"They're all dead!" She screamed it at him, bringing her fist and that stone down towards him. She wasn't aiming for his face, she was aiming for a point siz inches behind it. "It's you fault! You people killed them all!"

Howlite's glance to Kestral was surprisingly patient. It made sense, she was new, as were many of them.

"Focus on those that are attacking the Great Youma, itself. They can't hurt it if they're busy with us. Distract them. You don't have the power to deflect the attacks yourself, now, but we can take out those who are foolish enough to make a move."

Benitoite was treated with a nod. "I won't pretend like I know if it'll help, but it can't hurt."

They were wasting their time talking, not doing, and the Youma would suffer for it. Her finger indicated a group of knights and senshi, including Ganymede and Pasiphae, who was lobbing a rock their direction.

"We need to destroy them."

It was an issue for her, prioritizing her need to bash faces in over the need to kill the looming and only slightly weakened monster. She could probably leave it to everyone else to fight it, and go on her merry way kicking the asses of everyone she came across. But, was it really something she should risk? She knew how incredibly incompetent half of the senshi were, and how barely competent the other half were. Nemesis hated the idea of leaving things in their hands, mostly because she didn't trust them to get the job done. Likewise, there were few who could trust Nemesis to get the job done, because she'd do exactly what she was doing now. Debating on personal pleasure over the entire goal.

She supposed she could cause personal havoc within the DMC and the Negaverse another day.

The shock waves of the barrier breaking were still vibrating through her bones as she began her charge towards the Great Youma. "Nemesis Touch of Death!" There were plenty of downfalls to her attack, the main one being that she had to get close enough to the enemy to touch them. The second one was that her attack was hardly permanent. But, while it lasted, she was going to make it a goddamn pain in the a** for the Youma. Maybe

With her hands encased in a soft blue glow, she tried to make contact with the youma's stomach. She would have been far happier to go for the head, but good sense warded her away from the idea. The stomach seemed to be the safest spot to aim for.

And Draconis went flying. She slammed into the ground at full force. It didn't feel to great. At least she had senshi endurance, and she was able to get up again.

It seemed as though she wasn't helping anyone at this point. As she looked up, the wounds seemed to close off where she had attacked. Had she done that? Great, just great.

Grimacing, Sailor Draconis screamed rather barbarically and then slid underneath the beast. It was nearly impossible to dodge it feet, but she managed to punch and kick the underbelly of the beast a few times before retreating back to the open area of the Surrounding.

---

Peklo nodded fiercely at Leo. He was in control at the moment, even she could tell that. What was the one thing Peklo was good at? Following orders to a T.

Politely, she grabbed the elbow of Princess Chronos and said, "P-Princess I'm sorry, b-but we should move back, like he says." She nodded with sincerity. Peklo hadn't quite fully grasped the concept of power levels, and the idea that the Princess Chronos had more than enough power to protect herself was beyond her.

Right now it was just "protect the princess." She was going to do just that.

Suddenly two auras alerted her. Was that ... that was Virgo. THAT WAS VIRGO! Peklo shouted at Leo, "Leo! Look up there!"

She didn't need to hear Howlite's plea for defence. Sugilite had already turned back towards the beast, the moment it howled in pain. Despite everything, she still felt the strange urge to protect it, to shelter it, despite the fact that it could probably squish her under one great claw with no thought at all. That damn knight again, from the start.

She threw herself at him, to late to stop the shield, but before he could start to retrieve it. Reaching up, she grabbed the only part of him that wasn't safely covered in protecting mail, his hair. It was a catty thing to do, but she didn't have any other places to strike, so she ripped with all her might at Camelot's hair, and kicked at the back of his knees sharply with her heels, trying to bring the man down.

He wasn't a fighter, he really wasn't. Countless battles and a few very countable injuries had proved that to him nicely. He wasn't meant to be on the front lines of anything and here he was again stuck fighting for his life and everyone elses against something they seemed to stand no chance of beating.

He didn't even want to think about the dark Senshi that were there. They weren't corrupt but still felt horrible.

Shaking himself out he looked around in time to hear his cousin's voice not far from him. Of course she wouldn't have just stayed home where it was safe. He turned his eyes to the monster long enough to see Draconis attack and how completely useless that was.

Great. Fire healed it which meant he was even more useless. Cursing he crawled over a bit of rubble to Corvus's side. "Why is it always when i think i'm getting ahead something like that happens?" He waved a hand vaguely toward the monster before looking around for something he could use as an actual weapon

The window-sized eye was far from an easy target when put on the face of a monster that was active and in motion, but Ganymede hit the mark. Instantly, gruesomely, the eye burst like a water balloon... if it had been filled with water instead of tar. As the Great One flailed its head, now half-blinded, large globs of the dark and sticky substance flew all over the place, some landing on the attacking senshi itself. Its other eye, however, would mysteriously prove impervious.

Corvus's act of Violent Revenge struck the monster straight in the heart -- or, at least, in the space where a heart should be. A spiderweb of cracks race up and down the massive rib cage, entire pieces of bone crumbling.

At the same time its one bad claw was cracking as well -- Valhalla was an excellent pitcher, for certain. Unfortunately, it was going to take a bit more work to get Camelot's shield free.

Ghost Raven was spinning around inside the rainbow road, when she felt a very, very strange sensation. What was--She felt something inside of her, a power...a wonderful...power. She came up from the ground, up from inside the rainbow road, then looked around, looking down at her hands, blinking her blue eyes, a smile forming on her face. And her boots...her boots! She laughed, turning to get a full view of them.

Yes. This is...this is what she needed. This...this power, this power to help destroy the senshi. Help...

The newly awakened blonde looked around, then smirked, blue eyes narrowing as she looked for someone to ruff up. She would do what she had to. She heard shouts of "protect the youma", and that must mean the big monster. If that's what had to be done, that's what would be done.

The senshi of moths was ready. And she would stay ready. Forever.

Sailor Thisbe was out of her element. No, saying that was actually an understatement. It was her first 'big battle' and nothing that anyone had told her, none of the instructions she had been given by either Themis or Arachne had quite prepared her for any of this.

That had been her first realization. Her second, soon following, had been that there was no way in bloody hell that she was getting close enough to the youma to see whether or not her power would effect it. Not a damn chance.

Her eyes scanned the field for a familiar face and then, seeing none clearly, she ducked down to scoop up a rock, flinging it at the girl (Sugilite) who seemed to be attacking the Knightly sort (Camelot) who'd managed to get his shield caught in the youma. "Hey! That's dirty fighting, girl."

The battle had started up again—which made Remarque feel pretty damn good. Because that meant that he hadn’t come out here for nothing. And it was a very suitable distraction for losing sight of the civilians he knew. Remarque understood what was expected of him—fight the senshi, keep them off the youma. Repay them for what their Surrounding had done to the civilians.

With Ares’ had come enlightenment. With the senshi had come havoc, right from the very beginning. He was eager to engage them—eager to make them pay for this whole fiasco.

Remarque clenched his hands into fists and pressed them together, cracking his knuckles. He might not have been even slightly proficient in any sort of special gifts he had, but he knew that his fists had never let him down—and he was full equipped to start swinging.
