Steven blinked stupidly a few times before he started making mental notes. Bela was Mary Read, Roxy was Yellow, Wallace was Blue, Flannery was Red, and he was Green. He could remember that pretty easily, probably. He didn't know why they needed code names but Bela mentioned something about terrorists, probably the Zodiac whatevers, and he just decided to roll with it.
Better idea than he could come up with.
"And you can call me Green," He announced right back to Bela, even though she probably heard. He was rolling with this s**t so hard. Yay codenames!
And then suddenly Red punched the goddamn whale and he had to stop his cowardly clinging to stand there, arms limp and mouth wide in awe. She punched the mother ********' whale! And then got eaten, oh s**t.
Suddenly terrified of suffering the same fate he threw his arms in the arm and darted around in some loops around his newfound friends and somehow managed to avoid getting sucked in. Somehow.

One moment Var was basking in the attention of her handsome knight, feeling exhilarated by being protected, and the next moment she was being gulped into the mouth of a giant whale. As sad as she was to be swept away from her valiant protector, she had also never felt more alive! Varya the Violet grabbed the nearest human being to her and shook them with delight. "I'm ALIVE. This is probably the worst smell I have ever smelled!" She had a giant foolish grin on her face.
I mean, how many times could you top things on the list of greatests, bests, and worsts? It was a once in a lifetime change, and one that Varya, in her purple haze, was enjoying every minute of. The next few seconds were filled with a lot of new records. First whale ever been inside of, most disgusting thing ever touched (eek! Did it move?), first time touching a living organ. The list went on and on, and Varya prattled it off to anyone around her.

Roxy was growing more confused as she was scared, confused about her own name and what the other two were calling her. She didn't mind it - she liked yellow after all - but her head wasn't right and she just didn't understand! Then Wallace - Blue - explaining in simple terms combined with Bela's - Mary Read - garbled message from earlier so her fearful mind could comprehend and it all made sense; right... no real names. Not in this situation, not when they were in danger and it was scary and there was a whale who was eating more people.
Like her friends. "Ah!" Roxy's eyes went large as both Flannery and Wallace were pulled in. Well, Flannery had been swallowed like a boss - and she had to be proud of that deep down - and Wallace went in as well, Wallace. That didn't mean she didn't have a moment of panic from the whole ordeal, "No!" she cried out, reaching out her hand in vain as they were already sucked in. Somehow she and Steven had managed to miss sharing a similar fate as their comrades, he with his darting and her... well she had jolted back from his actions and the whale's.
Recollecitng herself, she took in a deep breathe and found Steven in his flailing and pulled him closer to her by his shirt. Determination was beginning to dissolve the haze of fear. "Green... we need to save them!" Fear was still layered deep in her voice and she had no idea how they were supposed to do such a feat at this time. But they were going to do it!
Roxy also didn't notice that during her jolt, one of her little sewing pins had come loose. It had begun to hit the floor until it too was victim of the suction, pulled with enough force to lodge itself in the whale's hide. It didn't do much, but it was there.

Sheila wasn't alone. The monstrous bat that broke her arm had flown up and circled the space above her... only to be caught in the whale's inhale. The bat screeched and flapped its wings, panic growing as it struggled to leave the air current that was drawing it in. No amount of flapping saved it. The creature was drawn into the whale's gullet, where it smashed against the roof of the creature's mouth with enough force to kill it.
Meanwhile, Sheila was still hunched over on the ground, her left arm now twisted in an unnatural position.

kalindara Another girl was walking ahead. Aya broke into a trot. "Hey, wait up!" she called after Natalia. "We should stick together and look for a way out." And hopefully not walk their way into the whale's stomach and die a painful, acid-based death. "Hmn," Natalia stopped, placed a finger on her cheek and seemed to ponder, "I didn't think about that." Was he orange girl really just that unconcerned? No, it was definitively rhe effect of whatever this color-emotion thing had done to them. The normal Natalia would have been pitching a fit to get out. Determined not to die in the belly of some space whale. "I kinda wanted to explore. I mean, look at this place - it's pretty cool...for the inside of a whale. A bit smelly though..." She replied to Aya. "Maybe we'll run in to that Cancer sin-whatever chick. Didn't the whale swallow her earlier? C'mon, let's go!"

Candice managed to hold on to something and saved herself from getting sucked into the whale. "I want to be involved in all this, but not that involved!" She could see others being sucked into the whale, not knowing if she should help or not. It seemed as though Jett and Raven were both safe, clinging to each other for dear life.
When the whale stopped sucking, her passionate love changed to passionate anger. "Hey you stupid whale! WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO EAT US?!"
"I thought real whales couldn't eat things the size of my finger! I'D KILL YOU YOU STUPID WHALE IF WE DON'T MAKE IT OUT OF HERE!" Of course, Candice didn't know exactly how she would do that... She just managed to spit out the words as well as throw one of the broken pieces of the road at the whale.
"Eat sh*t you piece of junk!"

That's right, one of those Zodiacs had been swallowed earlier on in the battle. "That's right, she was..." Aya turned a distressed face on Natalia. "And I didn't even care! Oh my god, that's so sad. I'm sorry, poor crab senshi, I'm a terrible person!"
A few sobs escaped before Aya could force them back. Her breath was fast, the choked up huffing of someone who knows they have to stop themselves crying (but isn't entirely successful).
"Why did this happen to us, though? First we get kidnapped, now we're whale-food..." Aya just wanted to curl up on her sofa. Maybe watch some sappy movie she would never admit to owning, the dvd hidden away from the collection displayed in her living room. She looped an arm around Natalia's. "After this is over, let's eat ice cream and watch dvds, okay?"
Maybe things wouldn't be so sad if Aya stuck with others for a while. At the very least, they could all mourn this unfortunate series of events together.

Ian shook his head. Did none of them watch old animated movies? " Pinocchio," he responded back to Anandi, watching as she followed the others deeper into the whale. He wasn't about to go any farther, not until he was sure that it might be a good idea, and then when Aya asked if it had any ideas on how to get out, he answered her as well. " In the movie, they made him sneeze, but I don't know that that would work for us." She, like the first girl, was heading deeper into the whale. Was that really a good idea? He bounded back and forth where people were being sucked into, trying to see if just maybe he could jump back out that way.

Somehow Mary had gotten separated again from the group. And almost half the group was making out with each other. Gross, really leave mating rituals to closets, please. She was chasing after a bat when the whale did it's thingy and suddenly she found herself been sucked in.
"LIKE HELL YOU'RE TAKING ME WITHOUT A FIGHT. TAKE THIS! FALCOM PUUUNCH!"
What? Just because you were a roleplay nerd and totally just about insane didn't mean you'd never ruddy played Super Smash Bros. Honestly.
Mary managed to punch it in the lip... mouth... thing before she flew into its rather... gross insides.
She was going to totally have to make this a campaign when all was said and done.

"Who knows~" Natalia shrugged and as their arms looped, she began walking again, admiring all the shiny insides, and doing her best to ignore the smell, which kept getting worse the deeper they went. "DVDs and ice cream sounds great. I suggest Moby d**k! Or Pinocchio!" Irony? Oh-ho-ho yes... Natalia, however, just grinned and continued, "Maybe the Free WIlly trilogy! Or Finding Nemo..."

"Confound these space whales; driving me to heroics!"
Carolynn had been turned colors, dove and swatted at giant bats, and consoled hallucinating teenagers with a penchant for kissing stranger ... All whilst barefoot. She was, frankly, not drunk enough or enthusiastic about any of this anymore to deal with this s**t. It was exhausting and dumb.
Stupid space whales were being stupid and she was having just about enough of it.
There wasn't, of course, a damn thing she could do about it however-- And as she spiraled downwards into a pouty and un-boozed unhappiness about the whole situation she heard cries for help. Cries for help as the space whale decided that it had a case of the munchies and all them tasty morsels people were going to satiate it. Eyebrows furrowed and on the edge of just giving up and letting the thing eat everything when she heard the faint yell of 'falcon puuuunch'! She didn't know who this person was, but they were instantly cool in her book. She approximated by about 20%, which the twenty-two year old felt was fitting considering their setting.
Lifting a bat left twitching on the remains of the shattered rainbow road, she hefted the thing over her head and threw it as hard as she could at the whale.
[Apparently I did 2 damage to Senor Whale.]

Aya's mood dropped at Ian's answer. She shook her head, frowning. "I don't know how to make a whale sneeze." So much for inspiration from movies. She shook her head at Natalia's movie suggestions. After this, Aya was back on board with her father's homeland - kill the whales. Where was a harpoon when she needed one? Natalia led them further into the whale's mouth. Aya didn't want to admit it, but she felt worse the further they went in. It smelled terrible and it looked worse - was that part of dead creature over there? Aya grit her teeth and blinked furiously. She wasn't going to cry again, she wasn't! "M-maybe we should head back to the others," she suggested. "Cancer might be fine on her own. At least she has magic powers." Another thing to be sad over. Maybe ten out of sixty people in this fight were super-powered magical people, and Aya was not one of them. Her chances of surviving this were not good. Especially if they kept walking further into the whale - what if they got lost and never managed to get back out. "Yeah, let's go back?" she asked, tugging at Natalia's arm gently. "Maybe we can jump out or something, when it passes close to the rainbow roads again..."

((Not sucked in, three damage!))
He was ready to get off the goddamn ride. He had neon orange skin, cracked ribs, a broken wrist, and he was stranded in the middle of ******** nowhere half-deaf with a gigantic space whale trying to kill him. He'd had enough of all of this. He was ready to go home, get pissed drunk, dance on the bar and sleep with some no doubt ugly-a** woman because he couldn't see through his own beer haze to find someone work shacking up with.
You know. The usual when life really got him down.
But no, here he was, and the space whale was.. holy --
He rolled onto his (uninjured) side and curled up, barely breathing for the pain that it caused him, and closed his eyes tight. If he got sucked into that a*****e's mouth, it was going to be all over. He would probably get chewed up and die -- and it didn't seem to matter that whales didn't have teeth. They also didn't ******** fly around in space and shoot rainbow beams at people, so maybe this one had teeth. Who knew.
Remarkably, however, he didn't lift off the ground. Maybe it was the combination of the fact that he was down low and that there were others standing around him; while other people were sucked up and into the whale's mouth, Gilbert remained on the ground. Excellent. Except he didn't want to get stomped to death while people were running around and trying to escape the whale.
Struggling to his feet, his ears ringing and his head light from pain, he began to stagger away from the whale. Yeah, he was trying to ditch the scene.
Like hell he was dying for anyone else.

((Not sucked in, five damage!))
Though Leo still desperately wanted to join his comrades, his girlfriend especially, he knew it was much more important for him to remain where he was and try to defend the civilians from the ever-growing threat of bats. He did his best with the adoring girl, trying to guide her behind him whenever she strayed too close to his front, but someone else slammed into him in the confusion and he found himself jostled. Unfortunately, at the same time the space whale inhaled deeply -- of course it did, this was the most horrific day of his life, everything was bound to go wrong -- and civilians began to lift off the road.
Panic seized him, a cold fist around his heart, and he reached out to grab the nearest civilian and keep them close. His fingers grasped the edge of the girl's shirt, holding a moment as he steeled himself, but he was too late; she was jerked away, her body flying backward like a strange marionette, and he was left behind having failed to protect her.
No, he thought, the single word settling on him with crushing despair. No, no, he'd told her he would protect her, he had, and yet she'd been pulled away --
So many had --
Balling his hands into fists, he launched himself forward, his intent to attack the whale and get that girl safely back out. He'd promised. He couldn't fail now.
