Kelina growled and threw Eric down and dissapeared snarling.
Eric slowely sat up and caught his breath.
"what is it? If its about the girl who has my mothers essence....I just know its her! I saw her being murdered though...." he sighed
"not like I got anyone else....Kalena trys but....shes not mom or dad...."

Dereks eyes softened and he sat down next to eric. "She didn't die at least,not entirely." H said in a comforting tone.
"And your right. Ruka is in essence your mother. " he explained. He paused and waited for the questions to start rolling in.

Eric sighed and looked up at Derek
"I dont understand why Kalena wants me to stay away from them....I miss her....a lot...the last time I saw my dad....he was in trouble....he promised that he'd train me, just he and me....he never showed up....I dont even know what I am now....my birthday was a few weeks ago and yet I wasnt borne...I feel so empty..."

"Believe me your not a nobody. Especially at this point. The hands of time are always changing...I'm surprised you haven't noticed. Since ruka has chosen this path your existince has become more concreate....I wouldn't be surprised if your sister popped up soon."he said assuringly.

"I was never borne though...Roza died before I was borne..." he sighed.
"I just dont understand...time is so confusing."
He took out a rather worn journal that looked like it had gone thru a lot
"this is everything that should have happened.....other wise, I would have changed or dissapeared compleatly"

Derek looked at the book and nodded."when your ready to believe me burn it. I gurantee you will still be here. As for staying away....I don't think that's neccessary. Just be careful of what you say. She cannot know about her old self. The choice to take back her old life must be untainted, or we risk clouded eyes." He murmered sadly.

"alright....but Kalena wants me to keep away.....so I'll have to do that....too much risk"

"I cant even use what I had in my past....which should be the future....time travel....so complicated..."

Derek grinned. "Won't be long kid, and you'll have your mom back. Now if you wait about ten more hours I bet some of your old magics and whatnot will start to flow back. Just try not to use it all at once" he warned,patting him on the head.

As he walked back into the office, Kalena was offering Ruka and Moriko sea salt ice cream
"Go ahead, try it" she smiles
"its a unique taste, reminds me of the ocean"

Moriko and ruka looked at it for a moment before tasting it.
"Wow!this is amazing!" They shouted together, eagerly taking some more. Derek laughed. "I leave you all alone for ten minutes and you've already found there weakness. I'm impressed." He said to kalena.
"Just don't spoil your dinner." He told them.
