Best: FE10 Reyson.
For the same reasons I voted him best FE10 Unit, which is a lot. I find the fact that he can't fight himself entirely irrelevant; he still contributes more than any other person, even if indirectly.
Worst: Can't decide between Arden and Shanam, and Fiona...
No, no. Scratch that.
It's Fiona. Definitely Fiona.
Even Arden has uses and nets you a very nifty Pursuit Ring. And Shanam has shopping utility. And having FE6 Merlinus>>>>>not having him, regardles of the pain he is. At least he can move to begin with.
Fiona? She does have that Earth support, but the Dawn brigade is not lacking in those and any investment made in her is basically a waste. So she'd eat up resources and provide a net negative because her situation is just that bad.

Best: LeafxNanna- it's sort of like the "IN YOUR FACE" to Celice and Sety in that they were kicking his a** all throughout the series, then he ends up getting the hot girl while Sety sort of gets whoever (never says if there's a canon?) and Celice gets a boring nun while Leaf gets a hot Princess. cool That, and Leaf is one of my favourite character in the entire series, so of course I would love him to not be a hermit.
Honourable mentions to Marth and Sheeda for being basically an earlier incarnation of Leaf and Nanna and Sigurd and Dierdre for pulling of the "love at first sight" look.
Worst: AbelxEst- put it this way, Abel had his chance with Paola- THE hottest girl in FE1/3/11/12 (imo) and he missed it and went with her younger, more masculine looking sister, WHAT IS THIS? Also, amusingly enough, he can kill her when he's an enemy unit in Book 2, makes as much sense as if Machis killed Rena, which amusingly is possible as well.
Dishonourable mentions to Celice and M/Lana for being a two line-romance and Dierdre and Alvis. D;

Best: There is really one pairing that I really would've loved to see, that's so painfully obvious, and right in the open, that they couldn't have missed the target more.

This could go onto worst too, just because it didn't happen, but this pairing is really about overcoming obstacles, and just the way the two of them interact in that single scene you see them in, it pisses me off that this was never in the supports.
Worst: Ah, now this is tricky, because there are so many worsts that exist, not for the reason that they're bad, but because they end in a way they shouldn't. I should go for Legault x Isadora. Legault is one of my all-time favourite characters, and the only one he has a special ending with is Isadora, in which they end up enemies. Nothing about how their love could fight the loyalties of their countries, nothing of that, just that they end up facing eachother on the battlefield. Sadface. ._.

Best: Rath x Lyn. Shut the bloody hell up. Aside from obvious bias, I love this pairing mainly because of how Lyn manages to open Rath up and get him to feel something. She quashes the numbness. They are both alone in the world, but in the end they decide to stay by each other's side.
Worst: Boyd x Mist. IT'S ******** MISTxROLF, WHY IS SHE PAIRED WITH BOYD. THIS ANNOYS ME MORE THAN FE8 TWINCEST OR MAKALOVxASTRID.

Best: EliwoodxNinian. It gives Ninian a reason to stay in the world with Eliwood, which is what he clearly wanted, and plus it is so nice. Plus 1/4 dragon Roy is also nice
Worst: BoydxMist. This pairing really makes no sense to me.

... Well, I could be born with Lyn or Fiora's help, but being part dragon is a lot cooler than being a plain ole human. And because Rath would kill me if we went ElixLyn

Frankly, I feel what constitutes as canon in a lot of the games is debatable. If a character has multiple potential pairings (each with their own official art, no less) and another game doesn't articulate a specific one as canon (the way FE5 makes a lot of specific FE4 pairings canon) I don't see them having just one 'canon' ending. Has never made sense to me.
That aside, I do recognize certain pairings are considered canon here at FEF, FEF's canon-pairings if you will.

My homegirl Calill is in of the the few indisputable canon pairings, and she's my homegirl Calill. You all know how fond I am of her by now, I'd imagine. Essentially, I'm just favoring her because she's as fierce and fabulous as she is. Both she and Largo are. Power couple!
Also up there for me are IkeXSoren (it exists as an ending and MistXRolf doesn't - DEAL), LeafXNanna, and
Worst: AstridXMakalov
