Miyuki nodded at this, "I met your parents, your ada is fun."

Or rather funny, but even at her age she had a feeling that maybe that wasn't term to use. It wasn't that he was fun to make fun of, he was just... the way he was made her giggle.

"We visited your parents and checked up on Luk," Lin explained to Timaeus.

Timaeus chuckled and set Brooke on the floor. "Yes, they mentioned that when I saw Uncle Luk earlier. I understand they've decided to join you on your travels when you go ..."

Earendil moved a bit closer to the fire to warm up faster. "Luk didn't want to leave so soon after finding all of you," he explained, "so your parents decided to come with us. Daeron is also joining us, though he's a bit iffy about it."

Lin rolled her eyes, "Apparently Daeron's past travels before coming to Haven has completely traumatized him."

She knew from Daeron's stories in the few times she had met him growing up that he tended to get some pretty bad traveling partners. Personally she thought it killed his sense of humour.

"But Miyuki will enjoy that won't you?" she grinned down at Miyuki.

Miyuki nodded bouncing up and down, "Your ada says he has a lot of pictures and maybe if we have time we can go look at them, and sometimes he says funny things."

Timaeus couldn't help but laugh at both of those comments.

"My father does tend to be a bit funny," he agreed with Miyuki, "but he was telling the truth - he does have a lot of pictures. And I'm sure that by the end of your trip he'll have a lot more."

He turned back to Lin and Earendil and smiled. "Daeron has had the fortune of working with my father a few times, and it has not gone well. But with Mother there, I'm sure things will be fine."

"So have I," Lin pointed out, "Granted it was only once, but I grew up around your father. I remember very distinctly for him to not call me a baby plant, obviously metaphors as a child was not my strong point."

"He called you a baby plant?" Miyuki blinked up at her mother.

"Well technically he called me rosebud, and afterwards liken me to a moor cub," Lin replied slightly deadpanned, "At any rate, I think the real problem is, Daeron hasn't had really good traveling experiences with other people. I actually can't recall ever a time the few times I've seen him growing up him ever mentioning a time where he wasn't ready to kick someone in the butt."

"Ada likes to speak in metaphors," Timaeus shrugged. "What can I say? As for Daeron, I'm sure that once we actually begin traveling things will be fine. He does tend to put on a show, but I think when it comes down to it he doesn't get as annoyed as he pretends. Just my theory."

Earendil chuckled. "Yes ... I have to admit, I can't see Daeron actually becoming physical with anyone, no matter what he threatens."

Lin giggled, Daeron never struck her as a drama queen or king in this case.

"They'll be fine, we'll be traveling all over and seeing all sorts of things," Lin replied, "There won't be a problem."

"I'm sure it won't be," Timaeus grinned. "Now, you've arrived just in time for dinner, I do hope you'll stay. Alyse always has more than enough for everyone, especially since Uncle Luk came."

"Oh?" Earendil asked curiously, taking a seat on the couch. "How so?"

Timaeus laughed. "There's no telling when he'll show up for a visit, or whether or not he'll have Mother and Father with him!"

Lin grinned at that taking a seat beside Earendil.

"Does he come over often?"

Sounds like they visited a lot to her.

Miyuki didn't sit, instead she looked around the room they were in, it was just interesting to her to see how each house was different and it wasn't like she was fully interested in what the adults were talking about.

Timaeus laughed. "At least two or three times a week!" he grinned. "We never know which days, but it's at least that often. Mother and Father never used to visit for dinner ... but I think Uncle Luk was alone for so long that now he can't get enough of us."

Brooke sat and stared at Miyuki, her eyes wide and curious. She stayed where she was, however: she was older than Remiel, and well past the stage where she had to put everything in her mouth.

"Could be, he lived outside the city, away from people," Lin replied.

Though she didn't know what he did exactly or how often he was in senate meetings. From her understanding though he just sorted let himself stand apart from other people.

Eventually Miyuki came to realized she was being stared at and looked around to see Brooke staring at her. She looked back at the little girl, she wasn't used to being stared at.

Timaeus nodded. "I asked him about that, once. He said he thought it was his elvish side ... though considering that almost everyone else there lives in the city - or so he says - I don't know if I can believe that excuse."

Brooke kept staring at Miyuki, her stare just as intent as the kitsune's. She blinked once, tilted her head one way, then the other, and then blinked again and kept right on staring.

"I don't know about that...." Lin murmured with a shrug, "Though that's a good point."

She figured he wanted to keep his privacy or something to that effect.

Miyuki thought it was really weird that Brooke was starting, but rather than continue to stare back she padded up to the little girl. She wanted to know what was so interesting.

Brooke looked up at Miyuki, craning her neck to see as the kitsune drew closer. Her mouth opened slightly as her head tilted more and more upward, and she kept leaning further back - a little bit more ... a little bit more ... until suddenly she was past her center of balance, and arms and legs flailed as she fell backward with a squeal.

Timaeus looked down at her sharply to see if she was all right, but the child just giggled as she looked up at Miyuki, now from flat on her back.

Miyuki quickly crouched down, sometimes it was easy for her to forget that there were times where she would be bigger than someone else. This happened to be one of those times.

She helped Brooke back up.
