"No..shhh...calm down I'm fine." She then noticed the vomit on the floor. She hardly knew vanishing charms, but her mom had taught her something at least. She made the smell of it go away from the air with a wave of her wand. She then got a towel and cleaned it up the muggle way.
"You--uhm...want to walk around the wing?" She asked awkwardly. "Can you walk?"

Lillian gave a small yell as she saw the wand. When her daughter cleaned up the vomit though, she watched in awe and amazement. It was so sweet of her, really. She didn't even make one noise of disgust.
"N-no." She said. "I can't even stand...I tried earlier..and well..." she trailed off.

"Well come on then." Al said determined.
"You can lean on me. You taught me to walk. Now I'll teach you."
"C'mon." She put her mother's arm over her shoulder and held onto it with her hand. She put Lillian's other arm around her own waist, and held onto it with her other hand.

Lillian was stunned and felt like such a child. It was different with her own daughter though...she had watched Al grow up until she was 3, so it's not like Al hadn't been childish to her. Still..she wished she could've been there for all the other years...she'd never forgive herself for that...she had watched Al's life in the orphanage go by through a window..and those stormy night sent what felt like ice through her heart.
"I'm so sorry." She said quietly, before she took her first step.

"For not being the mother you deserve. I wasn't there for you when you were growing up. But I'll always be here for you now, or I'll always try to be."
She took her first step. It was extremely painful, the cuts on her legs began to ooze blood slightly, and she bit her tounge harshly to keep herself from wailing.

Al gave a weak smile. "I've already forgiven you. I know your reasoning. You couldn't have stayed. I swear I understand." She smiled as her mother moved slowly to take her second step.

She smiled back at Al, and for the first time in a while, she felt truly happy and blissfull. Not the insane or imperiused kind, but she was happy. After a couple more steps, she began to teeter a bit, but yelled out; "I'm walking! haha!"

Al grinned and said "Great job, mum." She noticed her balance getting lost though. Lillian only weighed 80 pounds, and she looked like she was going to collapse any moment. "You want to go to sleep?" She asked, and she felt as though talking to a young child.

"Sure...thing." She said wheezing a bit. When she finnally fell over onto the bed, she tried to give a smile of gratitude, but she felt as though it wasn't enough. She was really touched...she didn't know what to say.

"The cuts seem to be healing. Not as much now after we walked on them...yea St.Mungo's told you not to push it...whoops. Haha" She felt a bit guilty for pushing her mom to walk when she wasn't even ready to take baby steps. Still..she wanted to do something. It must be lousy being cooped up here all day.

Lillian gave a bit of a grim laugh. "True haha...you know..i remember before this happened...the details are coming back, though a bit fuzzy. Those tea leaves that haunted me...guess this is what they meant. Still...don't believe in divination too much...wooly subject..."

Al gave a bit of a watery chuckle, not knowing what to say, she fluffed up the pillows and put the blankets over Lillian and tucked them in so she wouldn't roll as badly. She noticed how filthy the gown was and said she'd remember to take it to the wash soon. If Lillian tried to bathe now, she might drown or something crazy, so that would need to wait.

She saw the look on Al's face when she saw the gown. She hoped it meant someone would bring her a new one soon. If she couldn't bathe for fear of drowning, then she wanted some new sheets or at least to appear less bloody. She wasn't sure what to say after Al tucked her in, she felt like she was 5. Siezed by a sudden inspiration, trying to convey her gratefullness, she said "I thought of you. Almost always...when she...did that...and tortured me..you kept me....here..."

Al knew 'here' meant 'alive' but saying that she would've died sounded so grim, Lillian probably wanted to spare Al those details. Al untucked her hair from her ears so it would cover the edges of her eyes which were sparkling and shining with tears. She gave her mother a very small and not tight hug, and when they let go minutes later, her mother was falling asleep, a smile on her face. Her mom's hair had looked fringed or burnt at the very ends, just the last few centimeters. She supposed the cracked blood and continuous torturing did it. She kissed her mother's cheek and whispered "Love you" in her mother's ear before leaving the hospital wing.
