Linda

Eventually, Linda fell into a restless sleep. She dreamed horrid dreams and nearly woke screaming several times. At around the middle of the night, she was awoken by the sound of Miron laying Selene down and taking up his watch. Sighing to herself, she sat herself back against the tree once again and watched him for a little while before falling asleep once again. Waking at dawn, Linda just grumbled to herself and started to go through her bag to figure out if she had any food. Noting that she didn't have any, she wandered a short way into the forest and looked for edible berries, ones that wouldn't kill her on the spot. She kept silent, not sure who else was awake, other than Miron, and not wanting to startle the watchful dragon-fox. Grumbling silently to herself as she wandered, Linda gathered a few handfuls of berries and ate them, then used her bag to gather more for everyone else. It wasn't a wholly appealing breakfast, but at least it was food. She wasn't sure if food had been brought, but she wanted to at least do something, not wanting to feel useless any longer.

All night staring at the ceiling
Counting the minutes I've been feeling this way
So far away and so alone

((Thanks.))

Strangely, Riku had a good night’s sleep. His mind produced no nightmares, but no dreams visited him either. However, his eyes did flutter open on occasion. The red pools would look around briefly. Then, once the assassin was satisfied that he was safe, his eyes would shut once more. Thus, other than those interruptions, his peaceful sleep allowed him to wake up refreshed. The assassin stretched his limbs, making sure to not fall off the tree. Once he was finished, Riku allowed his legs to hang off the tree limb. His hands rested against the limb as he looked towards the direction of camp. His red eyes could see the fire had probably died out sometime during the night. I’m not seeing any smoke. So, unless there is some other reason why it isn’t producing any, then it has probably died.

Then, some movement caught his attention. He looked to see Linda plucking some berries from the nearby bushes. Unlike some, Riku found the berries to be a good idea for breakfast. Not only were they healthy, but filled up his stomach easily. However, he didn’t like the idea of her picking them. A small frown formed on his face as he lied down on the heavy branch. “I know you don’t want to seem useless. But, you need to be resting, not picking berries for breakfast.” His voice would sound like it had come from the trees. His black outfit blended in with the shadows the foliage was able to give him. Luckily, the trees were trick enough to where he didn’t have to worry about sunlight showing his location. Thus, Riku would be hard to find. However, there was some sunlight peeking through the trees. But, that brief moments of sunlight cut through the trees near the opening they had camped at last night.

“Though, at least I know I can trust you to not pick the poisonous ones. Would be quite bad if we all got sick and died from plants. That would be one pitiful death.” He pulled out his blades briefly, looking at them with an almost bored expression. “Anyway, to get off the subject of berries, what was up with you last night? You seemed slightly off after Selene started talking to you. She didn’t say anything that offended you did she?” A slight coldness slipped into his tone as he asked that question. While he would keep his word on offering Selene help with her fighting, that didn’t mean he would take crap from her. In this case, have her treating Linda like crap. But, he wouldn’t accept disrespect towards him or Linda. “Or…were you remembering him?” He knew Dominick was still a sore subject between the two of them. He was the reason the whole them wanting to kill each other began! If he hadn’t died, Riku was sure things wouldn’t have been so bad between him and Linda. However, he knew that if Linda was the one to die…then him and Dominick’s relationship would have gone sour. The only death that might not have caused sourness was his own. But, he didn’t want to contemplate such things right now. “It is alright to still be sad about his death. He was your brother after all…” With this, he closed his eyes and retracted the blades, trying not to become sad himself.

Mina

Shortly after the fighting and talked had finished Mina had sat down on her small blanket and closed her eyes, not fully wanting to sleep. She allowed her mind to wander and as she did so her past flashed through her mind, but was quickly wiped from it as Meiun felt the thoughts that were there. She glanced over to him and gave him a small smile, the only way she could thank him at the moment. She once more allowed her mind to wander, worried about how Selene would react to what she had accidentally let slip, wanting to know how the rest of the group would feel. As her mind wandered she allowed Meiun to help her sleep, not arguing with him as he pulled her closer to him and allowed her to rest against him. As she drifted to sleep Mina smiled slightly up at Meiun as she started to dream of a life where she wasn't worried about punishment. A life where she could be happy and not have to be afraid of anything and everything.

Hours later Mina slowly woke up and placed a kiss to Meiun's cheek before picking up her bag and pulling out some bread, cheese and meats. She knew that after this meal she wouldn't have any more food for them and knew that someone would have to go to a village very soon to get supplies, but as she thought about all of that she started to cut up each item and put enough out for everyone. She knew that Miron would be returning soon from his watch and she was sure Linda and Riku would be returning soon as well so as she sat back down next to Meiun she handed him his portion of the food and started to take some bites of her own.

Sheridan
User ImageUser Image
Sheridan sat on a bench in the gardens worried about her father and Sienna, she was worried that neither of them would last long, and knew that in her father's case if Sienna or the children she carried died he would be so heart broken that he might die himself. She worried her lower lip between her teeth as she sat there wishing she had her dear friend Linda here to talk to. After having healed Linda from the wounds she had received in a house fire they had grown close. And for some reason Linda had always accepted her even if the others in her father's castle hadn't at first. Sheridan had always been able to talk to Linda and right now was a time she really wished she could talk to her. 'Oh Linda, I don't know what to do. Father is so weak from the wound he inflicted upon himself that I don't know if he will live even though I did everything I could to help him gain his strength. He is also expecting twins now and I am not sure if Sienna will live to give birth to them. She is such a small female with a strange mix of blood that it will be difficult for them to keep her strong enough to keep supporting the growing children. I wish you were here Linda, you always knew what to do...' She thought to herself as she closed her eyes and slowly breathed in the scent of the flowers that her father had created. She loved how they looked and had always loved coming here when she needed to think.

Linda

Linda nearly jumped when Riku started to talk, but she didn't whirl around. She recognized his voice. Listening to him talk about her resting though, she did turn, only slightly.

"If I could rest surely then I might consider your suggestion... But as it is at the moment, I cannot rest... Nightmares plague me too often..." she said softly. Looking up and meeting his eyes, she sighed. "It was nothing that Selene said. I fear that I remembered the fire..." she added with a shiver. "My parents left me to die and I think that the fight just triggered a memory of them fighting. They fought and then when the fire started, they left me on the second floor." Her tone was angry, and she carefully set down the berries before she threw them in her anger. "I hunted them down after I was well; they never knew that the face of vengeance was mine..." Her anger turn to sadness then, and she looked at Riku. "Then I found out that my brother was dead, the only one who had protected me while my parents were fighting. I thought it was you who had killed him. Then I found out that he had willingly gone with you and had met his death to save your life. I hated you for so long, because I thought that you had done nothing to even help him." Linda sighed and sat down to pick some of the good berries that were on the bottom of the bush, her back to Riku as she worked. "That's what I was thinking of last night. And then when I finally fell asleep, I dreamed that I was back in that fire, and this time, I wasn't getting out..."

Linda shivered and went back to what she was doing, silent now. She kept picking berries until the bag was full, and then started back to the camp.

"I don't claim to be iron Riku, but I wish I was. I hate having to suffer in my dreams..."

(())

The assassin continued to lie against the tree limb. His legs dangled off the tree limb now as Linda turned slightly towards him. A small frown appeared on his face, showing he didn’t like hearing that. Normally, he would be haunted by nightmares in his sleep. But last night, Riku had been spared from them. He couldn’t tell why his sleep was not haunted by nightmares the previous night. However, the assassin knew he appreciated the break, even if he didn’t know what he had done to gain it. “I wish I could say I was plagued by them last night. But, I wasn’t…strangely.” He kept his voice low, sounding like he was thinking out loud. His red pools lingered on Linda briefly. But, as soon as she started to speak again, his eyes moved to focus on the bushes nearby her.

It wasn’t Selene’s words that had bothered her last night. As his eyes met hers, it was the fire that had bothered her. The fire he had remembered as well. Admittedly, Riku’s eyebrow rose as he head tilted to the side. How strange that we both would remember the same incident. Wonder if this is one of those act of “God” moments as they call it? Probably not. That would make “God” seem like a sadistic. As he moved himself to sit up, Linda started on about how she believed the fight had triggered the memory of her parent’s fighting. He never asked her or Dominick what they had been fighting about that day. However, he did find out that her parents had left her to die on that second floor. While Riku never knew what having a family was like, he didn’t think parents were post to do that. He thought they were post to love their children unconditionally and not leave their children to die. Maybe I was wrong?

As Linda put down the berries, the assassin moved towards the core of the tree. His head leaned up against the tree, his eyes half closed as Linda mentioned something he didn’t know about before. The red pools blinked and his eyebrows furrowed slightly with confusion written on his face. Did Dominick know about this? The assassin never remembered his partner telling him that his parents had been killed by Linda. Admittedly, a small frown showed itself once more, his eyes focused on Linda. “Did…Did he know that you killed them? Did he even know that they were dead?” His voice quivered slightly in a mixture between sadness and anger. While his parents seemed to be ignorant basterds, they were still their parents. Did that mean they deserved to die by their own children’s hand? Fists formed at his side as he took a deep breath. “Linda…I know your parents were dicks, but they didn’t deserve to die by their own children’s hand. Not when I’m sure Dominick wouldn’t have approved of it if he had known. Did you even think of him when you killed them? If anyone deserved the right to kill them, it would have been him, not you. He was the one that wanted to punish them when he found out they left you behind. And I’m sure he would have…if he wasn’t convinced out of it.” His eyes looked away, his mind briefly leaving the world of reality for the realm of the past.

“How could they do that? I know they never liked her….but she didn’t deserve to get left behind to die!” Riku watched as Dominick moved back and forth in front of him. A small eye twitched showed he didn’t like watching his friend pacing like that. However, he kept himself from commenting on it. “I don’t know Dominick. You know I don’t understand families, let alone why they would do something like that.” His ears heard his friend sigh loudly, soon sitting down next to Riku. “I can’t just let them get away with that. And yet….if I killed them…wouldn’t I be just as bad as them?” Oh how Riku hated when Dominick asked him such questions! Just because he was worldlier than Dominick, didn’t mean he knew the answers to every life question! He rubbed his temple as he crossed his legs in frustration. “Dominick…I wish you would stop asking me such questions. But, if I have to go with my gut on this….I would have to say in this situation, you should let karma take care of them. That way, you will not have the blood of your parents on your hands.” The red pools watched as his friend and partner nodded. “Yeah…You are right. If they get what they deserve in that way, I think it shall be much more…sweeter.” Riku chuckled and gripped the wine glass next to him. “Lets’ toast to that, ok?” Dominick seemed to agree as Riku observed a grin and him grabbing his own glass. “To karma!” They both chuckled and took a sip of the drink, enjoying their rare moment of down time.

His mind snapped back when Linda started talking about Dominick. The assassin could feel his heart dropping in his chest, not wanting to think about what happened to her brother. However, a small growl left his lips at her even thinking he killed Dominick! “How…how could you have even thought that?” The tone showed how hurt and angry he felt at the accusation. The fists clenched tighter at his side as her words reminded him of that day. It had been the one time he hadn’t looked behind him. The one time he hadn’t been fast enough to block the blow coming at him. But, Dominick had been fast enough and had noticed the enemy behind Riku. Unfortunately, Dominick received a fatal wound while defending him. The assassin tried to help Dominick. However, the enemies were coming towards them still. Thus, Dominick made him leave him behind. Admittedly, there were days when the assassin wished he had stayed behind. That he had tried to fight off those enemies and tried to get Dominick out of there. But, they both knew that would have resulted in two deaths…instead of one.

“I tried….I honestly tried…But, they were all around us. They were unrelenting and they never seemed to lower in number…No matter how many times we killed them, they just…kept coming…” He looked down at the ground, his hands unclenching and now resting on his lap. “I wanted to stay…I wanted to keep fighting…I wanted to get him out of there…But, he wouldn’t have it. He basically forced me into a position where I had to go. Because if I didn’t...well, lets’ say Dominick would make sure that I would have regretted that choice.” However, Riku didn’t want to go into the specifics of that. After all, it was a painful memory he hated to relive. He had lost his best friend and his assassin partner that day. It hurt just thinking about it. “Ironic….I hated you for so long because I was told you were the somehow behind the ambush. That for some reason, you had sent those things…after us. After I got away, I immediately vowed I would make you suffer like he did that day. That way….his death would not be in vain, and that he would rest in peace knowing his killer was dead. But…now I can see it wasn’t you, unless you are a damn good liar…which I really hope that is not the case.”

He jumped down to the ground as Linda went back to picking berries. His fingers rubbed against his temple gently and slowly. Her back faced him, her description of her nightmare making him flinch slightly. “I see. Nightmares are usually a twisted version of the past. Doesn’t help when you have lived through real life nightmares. That makes the dream nightmares…even worse.” The silence that made its’ presence known did not bother Riku. In fact, it made him feel better. His eyes closed as Linda finished picking and started heading back towards camp. He followed after her, barely hearing her last statement. “I think a lot of people wish to be as tough as iron. But, we can’t be. We would not be emotional beings if we were like iron.” The red pools looked forward as he moved ahead of her. “Once you realize this, you will be able to adjust yourself to be like iron. However, you must remember slip ups are a nature thing. If you beat yourself over them…Well, you would just be wasting your time.” Soon, Riku found himself in camp, and noticed Mina and Meiun eating some food. “You eating breakfast without us? How rude!” A small smile appeared on his face, his tone obviously joking as he walked over to them. “Can I have some of that?”

Linda

Taking her little bit of breakfast from Mina, Linda sat against the tree, momentarily forgetting the berries in her bag. After she took a bite, however, she rose and handed the bag wordlessly to Mina. Her whole being was weary, and her heart ached. She admitted something to Riku that she probably shouldn't have, and she had heard the hurt in his voice, heard the pain of recalling what had happened. In truth, she had waited to tell him this for the longest time, and at one point even relished seeing his pain. But now it just hurt her. Looking up to see Riku sit beside her, she sighed and finished eating before turning to him.

"My parents... I was driven by something, I don't know what. When I killed them, I was crying, thinking about how disappointed Dominick would be if he had found out. It was nothing I could prevent though. Something else was controlling me..." she said softly. "As horrible as they were, and as horrible as it was that they left me to die, they were still my parents. And Dominick... I know he would hate me for what I've done. I've killed more people than I would care to admit; and not all of them were soldiers. You're right, I did command people like the ones who were sent after you and Dominick. I wasn't the one who sent those ones. I was actually trying to kill them too. They were after me as well." Linda looked at Riku, her golden eyes pleading. "I was being chased because I had information for my friend, Sheridan. King Darian didn't want me to give that information to his daughter... I was on the run, trying to live. I hadn't known you two were in the same town, not until much later, when Sheridan told me that Dominick was dead." Linda closed her eyes. "I nearly went mad from the grief but Sheridan kept me sane..."

Linda sighed and sat back against the tree again. He must really hate her now. She bit her lip before continuing, wanting him to understand, feeling a deep ache that she wasn't sure she wanted to live through. Almost dying had been one thing. That had been fine. This was something else entirely. It was almost like her heart was breaking.

"I don't know that I can forgive myself for all that I've done and been forced to do. But I do not hate you. Once, that would have been an outright lie. I used to hate you with all my being. I blamed you for the death of my brother, however irrational it may have been. I knew, deep down, that you weren't responsible. But the hatred had still been there." Linda looked up at Riku again, her intense sadness present in her eyes, but no tears were welling up to spill down her cheeks. "I was wrong to hate you. I was scared to admit to myself that I loved you, and that I would do anything to be by your side. When I finally came to my senses, I wanted to comfort you after Dominick had died." Linda laughed brokenly as she looked away. "I'm just sounding stupid now, aren't I? I guess what I'm trying to say is that I just love you, and I really shouldn't have tried to tell myself otherwise. And I'm upset that it took me this long to realize it..." Linda shook her head, pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her chin on them as she stared into space, lost in her own thoughts.

Selene

Selene slowly woke and gladly took her breakfast from Miron as she sat up.

"Uneventful night, huh?" she asked with a smile. Miron nodded and gave her a kiss before they both started to eat. Looking around with a frown, Selene noticed that both Mina and Linda seemed a little down, and Linda was more than she had been last night. With a shrug, Selene decided to let them all work their own things out. Still... Selene sat back against the tree, munching on her breakfast as she tried to puzzle out Mina's true relationship to her. Selene still considered her a sister, but she now knew that when she said that, Mina hurt deeply inside. Thinking back on things, all of Mina's conspicuous cuts, bruises, and 'illnesses' made complete sense. Selene's anger at her parents now was nearly overwhelming, and Miron gave her a surprised look. Selene shook her head and calmed herself down, then looked at Miron. "I just don't see why my parents were so ill mannered towards Mina... She hadn't done anything wrong at all. And I know my parents are caring..." Little did she know the truth that she would find out from Darian, her uncle, later on...

Miron just shrugged and held Selene close, wondering what her parents would think of him, an outlaw for nearly ten times as long, or more, as she had been alive. He shook his head, telling himself that now was not the time to worry about it, and that he would have to deal with it later. Right now, he had to protect Selene, and the others by extension of the love and care Selene felt for them. Miron smiled a little as he felt the golden glow of love that was Selene in the back of his head, and kissed her.

"Soon, everything will be made right again. We will get to Darian and figure out why he is doing this and how to stop it. I do not think that we will stop until peace reigns in this place once again," he said softly, just holding on to Selene. He looked up into the sky to see that the sun was starting its inexorable trek across the sky, and she stood, helping Selene to stand as well. "We should probably start to clean up the camp and move on," he said, making himself heard to the others in the camp.

King Darian

Darian slowly woke the next morning, groaning a little as he tried to move.

"Sienna, I know what needs to be done..." he whispered, letting his presence be known. He opened his eyes and looked up at his beloved. "When someone arrives asking after Linda's orders, immediately arrest him. Leave him in the dungeons until I am well enough to do something about it," he said. He was stronger today, as evident by the strength in his voice, and his grip upon Sienna. It wasn't too strong, but stronger than the day before. He forced himself to sit up, gritting his teeth against a groan that fought to be let out. With a sigh, he sat against the be board, his legs stretched out in front of him. His chest seemed to be on fire, but at least it wasn't bleeding. Looking at Sienna, he smiled a little. "My sister has moved on and is now resting peacefully. She said goodbye to me in my dreams last night." He kissed Sienna's forehead, not being able to reach any lower without pain. Smiling a little more, he pulled her a little closer and just sighed, wanting nothing more than to spend the rest of his life with her. "Let's get married!" he said excitedly, looking Sienna deep in her beautiful eyes.

He hadn’t realized he had sat beside her. Admittedly, his mind seemed fuzzy as he had taken the food Mina had offered to the group. The assassin knew he should have waited, but it felt like his body was doing everything for him….while his mind took a much needed rest. Thus, as his fingers gripped the food given to him, Riku seemed almost dazed in expression. It made Linda’s voice all the more startling, causing him to jump slightly. Once he recovered, he cursed his weakness as the wounded fairy started to explain things. He kept himself silent by eating, and kept his gaze focused on the ground. For some reason, he couldn’t make himself look up at her. The assassin could only assume it was because his heart still lied in that tragic memory. That if he looked up at her, Riku feared he would see Dominick instead of Linda. After all, they both do have the same red eyes.

The mentioning of something controlling her made an eyebrow rise slightly, his eyes looking slightly in her direction. However, Riku could only see her lower half. Thus, he couldn’t see the emotions that lied within her eyes. All he could see was that she sat at his right side, her food finished while his still was in progress. Either out of not wanting to speak, or not knowing what to say, the assassin continued eating the food instead of responding to her words. Luckily, it seemed she wasn’t done speaking. Thus, this allowed her to continue without interruption. She was right that they were still her parents. That was why he had convinced Dominick not to go after them. Even if they weren’t the best, Riku just had this…feeling that allowing a child to kills their parents out of rage would only lead to bad consequences. By the way Linda seemed to be torn up about it; the assassin realized he had been right. Unfortunately, this was one of the few times he wished he hadn’t been right.

A small frown formed at the idea of Dominick hating Linda. He didn’t think there could be any way Dominick would ever hate his sister. His partner had cared about her very much, almost like he viewed her as more of a daughter than a sister. He had always been willing to do anything for her, even kill their own parents…His mind did not linger on that fact as the fairy beside him went on about how many she had killed. Admittedly, Riku almost made a “humph” sound at that. He knew the blood on her and Dominick’s hands were probably nowhere near close to his. His profession was to kill people for god sakes! And, even I know not all of them have been the targets. Most of the time it has been…innocents…Well, sort of innocents I should say. Most of the targets he went for had bodyguards and Riku couldn’t have them exposing his identity to anyone. Thus, he had to kill them. Yet another reason why I can go around unmasked. I make sure there is no one left alive to speak of my appearance. His fingers rested against his cheek as Linda said something that made him look over at her finally. The pupils of his eyes had become smaller, his eyes blinking with a mixture of emotions hidden in his red pools. “What?” His voice had been soft, barely above a whisper as Linda continued on with her story.

It seemed by a strange twist of fate, all three had been in the same location. All three were being attacked by the same people. But, why were they after him and Dominick? He could understand King Darien not wanting information to get leaked, and would go after whoever had it. In this case, Linda. However, unless King Darien was the type to be extra thorough, then it made no sense to Riku. Him and Dominick didn’t even know this Sheridan, other than knowing she was the one to heal Linda and had connections to King Darien. That was about it. So, why did they come after us? For a moment, Riku wondered if Linda might know why they were targets of the strange men. But, Linda continued onwards, soon mentioning who told her about Dominick. He looked away from her, his red eyes focused on the ground once more. How did she found out about Dominick’s death? Was this Sheridan there as well, or…did King Darien tell her? At the idea of that being the case, a grim expression appeared on his face. That man has a lot of explaining to do.

Briefly, silence filled the air around them. He leaned back against the tree as well, his eyes looking up at the sky. Riku hadn’t noticed Selene looking over. Admittedly, he didn’t care. All the assassin wanted…was for the pain to go away. Unfortunately, it seemed it would still be awhile before the loss of his dear friend would ease out of him. Soon, the silence was broken by Linda once more. He looked at her out of the corner of his eyes, not feeling the urge to turn his head to face her. The confession of how she did not hate him, but used to only made the assassin frown again. It had been similar to how he had felt about her. It went from neutrality to something more, then to hatred, and now back to the confusing emotions from before. For a brief moment, he wondered if it would have been better if he had stayed neutral to her. However, he shook the thought out of his head. Kind of hard to stay neutral to one you care about….When Riku felt someone looking at him, his head turned to look at Linda. A small part of him immediately wanted to hold her and get rid of the sadness in her eyes. But, the rest of him still felt numb as it tried to push back the memories.

Thus, he allowed Linda to tell him all the stuff he could tell had bothered her for a while. His eyes seemed to look right through her as her words barely registered in his head. But, the part about wanting to comfort him made a small smile appear on his face. “Ironically…I wished to do the same with you at one point…” He hadn’t realized he had spoken out loud. But right now, Riku didn’t care about his slip up. Now, his mind was trying to get itself out of the fog so he could concentrate better on the world around him…on Linda. As her mouth finally stopped moving, the assassin watched as she rested her chin against her knees. She, like himself, seemed to be lost in her thoughts now. However, Riku felt he needed to say something. But what? His mouth moved to begin his response when Miron spoke. His red pools looked briefly at the dragon-fox, giving a small nod before looking at Linda. “….You didn’t sound stupid. You needed to get it off your chest, and I’m glad you were able to.” The corners of his lips turned up to form a small smile as he placed his hand on her shoulder. “I’m sorry that I don’t know what else to say….Maybe with time, I’ll know what to say. But for now….I would whether forget about the past and move on.” Thus, the assassin stood up and offered his hand to Linda, his eyes looking at the others. “What do you all want me and Linda to do to help clean up camp?”

Linda

Linda looked up at Riku and took his hand, standing as he helped her up. Listening to his question, she mutely stood close by his side, wondering what they would have her do. She had provided berries for part of the breakfast, and Mina had already given her bag back. Looking around the camp, it seemed that there really wasn't much to do aside from burying the ashes of the campfire and moving on.

"I'll start digging a small hole for the ashes of the campfire," she said softly, and went to the far side of the camp, starting to dig the hole in the shadows. Her thoughts took over once again, and she remained silent as she focused on her task. She also gathered some dead leaves and underbrush to cover the overturned dirt casually once the ashes were buried.

Mina

Mina slowly stood after finishing her meal and putting the berries that Linda had gathered into a small bag she had. As she stood she looked about the camp and saw that there wasn't much to do. "All that we need to do is get rid of the ashes like Linda said and then gather up the rest of our belonging. I think as we continue through the forest we should stop at the river and gather as much water as we can." Mina took a few minutes to fold up her blankets and put them in her bag before looking to everyone. "When we stop later to have lunch anyone who knows anything about healing should help me gather some herbs and plants in case we need them on our journey. I would rather be prepared to treat any wounds or illnesses we might get then have to rely on getting those items after something has happened. And when we stop for the night I think one of the men should see if they can gather some supplies for us if we are near a village. What do you all think, do those sound like sound plans?" With that she looked to everyone, though when she looked to Selene she didn't allow her eyes to stay there for long. She was still unsure of how Selene had reacted to what she had let slip and until she knew she though it would be better to try and avoid causing any problems with her. She knew that to fight between one another would weaken the group and could leave them open for attack.

At the sound of Darian groaning Sienna woke and quickly sat up and placed her hand gently on his forehead. She sat there and listened to him with a small smile on her face, glad he was awake and healing. Sienna nodded her head as she looked to the door and bit her lip slightly. "Alright Darian, shall I tell the guards not to say anything about you being unwell? And what should I tell this person that asks after Linda? For I am sure they will ask why they are being put in the dungeon." As Darian moved to sit up Sienna moved back and helped him to get comfortable and before settling back against the pillows she grabbed up a bag of blood and held it out to Darian. "Drink please, you lost a lot of blood and are still needing to gain it back." Smiling Sienna kissed Darian on the cheek as she leaned against the headboard of the bed. "I am glad that she is at peace now, you both are at peace now." Sienna gasped at the sudden words and blushed slightly as she cuddled up against Darian's side, still being careful so as not to hurt him more. "Do you think that is the best thing to do right now Darian? You are injured and once you heal you are going to have to deal with whoever comes asking for Linda. And on top of that you will have to try and explain to not only Mina about who and what she is but also to Selene and Sheridan. I am sure they will all be needing time to talk to you, time that you will not have if we are planning a wedding." Inside herself Sienna was wanting to scream out yes to him, but she knew that if she did that he wouldn't be able to concentrate on all the things that will need to be done in the matter of days and weeks. For once Mina and Selene arrive at the castle he will have to try and explain how Mina is his daughter and that Selene is his niece. "Maybe we can talking about possibly getting married after things settle down around here?"
