Reglare Excile Not sure if anyone already discussed about this, but. . . for each one of you, what is being manly? Having a big gun. The bigger the better.
<******** yeah.
...In all seriousness, I see "manliness" as a rather pointless label. I don't really care much for it.

No one else man enough to answer this? o3o Foam-Dome ...I think the title of this thread has been misconstrued. The discussion isn't supposed to be "manly," as in "manly men being MANLY," but about male-related issues, much like the girly discussion thread is. Perhaps I should change the name to "male discussion" or something similar?

Manly as a word is hard to define in its own right, seeing as how everyone comes from different cultures with their own perceptions of what it is to be a man. But what I think transcends all cultures, and has been shown throughout history, is that a man is no longer a boy, when he has the inner strength to stay true to himself, and the bravery to stand up for what he believes in as well as protecting what is dear to him. There is no real "test" to whether a person is manly or not. The way I see it, if you live respectfully and honestly, I don't think your manliness is going to come in to question.

CHEAT. ON. YOUR. WIFE/GIRLFRIEND. FIST OF 10,000 HELLS stressed This and being able to have the strength to walk away from a fight thank you for helping me recall that last one, and now for inadequately explained reasons.stuff.

Alright. I've a question for you.
How do you meet prospective partners?
'cause I'm at a bit of a loss about it, outside of like University/High School.
(This is for the benefit of my brother, since I'm already in a relationship)

Storm, you should, otherwise you wouldn't have reacted.
Val, potential partners that aren't coeds? Just go out on a date, be it planned or not, the more spontaneous the better. Firstly there should be some trait you're either consciously or otherwise looking for in em, next is you're easily able to connect with them more easily than normal.
Getting perplexed is of course, a huge no-no.
