LabTech Kestin A couple questions about cramps. Why does it take at least an hour for the painkillers to do anything, and why does it help so much when I a) moan constantly, b) shake violently, and/or c) breathe through my mouth with my head in a trash can? Is there any scientific basis for any of this? I tried finding actual answers to your questions, but was unable to. But I do have a sort of hypothesis to answer them. When I get cramps they feel better if I make myself to any sort of exercise or constant movement. So in the case of moaning and shaking that could be causing enough movement that it helps to lessen the pain. I think the main reason that might help the pain is the same reason exercise does, it increases the blood flow so you don't feel the cramps as much. (or I think that's what it does anyhow.) I'm not sure why breathing into a trash can would help, but maybe if you got a build up of oxygen in your system the extra breathing, and it being into a small area could help stabilize that. Not sure how that'd make sense but it might somehow. If you really think there's a problem then maybe you should talk to a doctor about it, but I think I remember that you don't like hospitals so probably don't want to do that... in any case I hope my thought process to the situation helps you. Oh, and as to the question about the pain meds to work is that they can just take that long to take effect, not sure why but it is normal. I can probably find a more complete answer if you're curious just let me know and I'll find one for you.

I was just wondering if anyone knew offhand. 3nodding And that sucks about the painkillers. It's not like people usually know an hour in advance when something's going to make them need some. xp

LabTech Kestin Why does it take at least an hour for the painkillers to do anything I suppose it could have something to do with how the chemicals is distributed from the drugs. It may also depend on which compound you're taking and how it's distributed into your body (orally, anally, applied to the skin or trough a syringe). When it comes to breathing, I'd guess it's more 'bout how you focus and practise it. It may not necessarily be the best way to do it in a trash can generally, but that's the way you've found most effective.

Oh ******** no! There's an anti-abortion law that can make most forms of birth control illegal. In case someone doesn't know, as Mitt Romney doesn't, many forms of birth control don't prevent conception. They prevent implantation.

So I'm uh...probably getting a reduction this winter. >_< As I prepare my brain to be traumatized for life by having my boobs seen, I have a really stupid curiosity: will I lose any noticeable amount of weight if I go from a DD to, say, a C or a B? If so, how much? (I'm hoping to go as small as possible, but my mom says they'll only do a certain amount. ******** that, just take the damn things off, I don't want to deal with them. Besides, I've already promised several girls they could have some of mine.)

And other than the obvious, I don't think you'd lose weight. Though your breasts shrinking is kinda obvious.

What's wrong with anybody seeing your boobs? Having your boobs or nipples exposed doesn't necessarily put you in a sexual situation. They're also professionals doing their job, so there's even less of a reason to be shy 'bout it.
I got no idea how much boobs weight in general compared to their volume; nor how big of a volume they generally have compared to the cup size. Regardless of how much weight you may potentially end up losing from the operation, your spine should end up taking off a greater load.
There shouldn't be much of a need to remove them completely. There's no need to act like the Amazon Warriors, and cut off your boobs 'cause they may be in the way when using a bow. If you were born to develop boobs, you're meant to have them; or so I like to think. As we develop the technology of genetic manipulation, we may end up giving our kids whatever we want from before birth and think something amongst the lines of "screw nature".

Not very much
I was in surgery a few weeks ago and a lady had her whole breast removed because of a tumour. In entirety it weighed about 700g.

My view on tattoos? They're some kind of permanent marks to honour your deeds and/or tell a story. I wonder what kind of story tattooed eyebrows would tell...

Shiori Miko Violent Waffles Shiori Miko I need to see a male gyno. I am a firm believer in the "mechanic without a car" statement. gonk I'm sort of getting it but not really. Explain more please? sweatdrop I don't shave my legs... well they haven't proven to be much of a problem yet. I'm still pretty young when it comes to that. I do pluck my armpits though. -w- A gyno is a doctor that specializes in the female reproductive system. So going to see a male gyno is like seeing a mechanic who's never had a car. LOL I get it

So I went to see a plastic surgeon for the consultation I was dreading because they would have to see me, and she said no straight off the bat because of the letter she got from my therapist. My parents were enraged, which is weird because she's an adult so I'm supposed to be the one who did something wrong in their eyes, and said it was discrimination over a disability (an anxiety disorder in my case)...I asked if they could sue and get me big bucks but they said no. Personally, I'm just upset that I have to wait longer to get it over with, and to find out when the appointment is so I can prepare. I might have to shuffle my birth control around yet again, which went great last time [/sarcasm]. And my dad who is a doctor and has connections says it'll probably have to be a man this time. (Meaning that apparently most people who do boob smallenations are guys. Encouraging thought...)
