(I'm back! ^_^ For good this time...moving takes a lot of time and effort sigh)

Zane stepped towards the gate and placed his hand on Cherry's shoulder. Looking over at the new academy student he grinned, it was about time he got here. He was very much excited for the new student, Zane had handpicked him out of the academy for his outstanding performance. "Kaizen, I'm glad to see your well, please come inside," he said as he finished drying his hair and hung the towel off his bare shoulder.

(And it's about time Lance! )

xxxxxxxxxxOutou followed the two males inside, not making a noise nor watching Kaizen anymore. Zane's words were all she needed to accept the other male's presence here.

Kaizen stopped and glanced over his shoulders at the pink-eyed girl who he assumed was Outou, looking her over once more as if he had missed something. Perhaps, we will just have to see, Kai thought to himself, he had no way of knowing how strong this girl was, though he was sure that she had more experience than he did. Kaizen snapped his eyes back to look at Zane, running his eyes from Zane's face down to his shoes, taking stock of the man that he assumed would now be his teacher. He snapped his eyes back up to look Zane in the eye, then in that emotionless voice he had spoken in thus far he said, "Let's just move on to lesson two."

Zane chuckled as he pointed at her throat. "Isn't it about time that you get that checked? And where's my brother at?" Zane asked wondering where Axil had gone to. "Lesson number two. I want you to engrave this into your head: Nothing is true, everything is permitted. What do you think that means?" Zane asked, feeling a bit of deja vu as he remembered when he had asked the same question to Outou

Kai was a bit taken back by the question, though his face betrayed no emotion. He simply stared at Zane for a moment as he thought about the meaning of those words. Nothing is true, everything is permitted. to Kai the answer seemed simple enough. "Nothing is true... assume nothing, what you perceive as reality may be an illusion, therefore a shinobi must be ever vigilant. Everything is permitted... to complete one's mission a shinobi must be willing to do anything, the end justifies the means, always", Kai gave his answer, his voice unwavering.

Without hesitation Kai answered Zane, "teach me to kill the enemies of the mist, teach me the skills of the assassin."

xxxxxxxxxxOutou shook her head sadly, closing her eyes to perform a genjutsu - one of her own creations called Mind's Sight - that projected an image the size of a baskteball of the Mizukage sending war onto Leaf, a happy grin on his face. Her message was clear - the Mizukage wanted war.

The training that Kai's father had put him through suddenly kicked in as Kai saw Zane's palm lunging towards him. He bent his knees slightly and swept his left hand forward and up, attempting to deflect Zane's attack away from his body. While he did this with his left hand, Kai moved his right hand to the Katana he wore on his left hip. Zane would be to close for Kai to draw the blade completely out of the sheath, so instead he pushed the hilt to the left as he drew the sword from its sheath, angling it so that the pommel would smash into Zane's sternum.

(i assumed you weren't utilizing your full speed, so i figured Kai would be fast enough to react this way, tell me if it's too much for a genin)
