After swerving and stopping after the explosion the cajun that had caused it came up to the car. Lucky for her she had activated her holographic watch in time before he got to the window and started talking.
Raising an eyebrow at Gambit she smirked. "I should throw ya a beating for almost making me crash into a light post but, you seem interesting enough. Hop in the back and where you heading?" She asked then glanced over at Kurai, a sadistic look in her own eyes for a split second.
Sam fell back into the wall, exhausted but finished. Brett was all healed up and now she just wanted to lay down. Between healing most of Toad's wounds and now Brett she didn't have much energy left. "Hey, feeling better?"
Mortimer had been lucky enough to find a cell phone like device and had placed the call to Magneto that needed to be made and explained to him what happened with the help of Travon and Akira. Magneto wasn't pleased, especially at the news of what happened to Rem. Once the call was over they were over Canada and close to their destination. "This jet is fast, I think we should keep it..." He said trying to lighten the mood.

 "that be cool" Travon thought. he needed a mood lifter. heck maybe while they were here they could pick up a few members to bring back with them.
"add some flame decals or something" Akira said with a smirk, the first one for a while
Brett managed to sit up his air was sore but hurting a lot less. he still smelled blood but it was old blood smell. "yea i think I'm doing ok.... " he was still unsure where exactly he was and what happened. "we're in the basement right?Damian jumped a little when gambit's card went off."wasn't me!" he said quickly. he was pretty sure it wasn't him.

Gambit smiled as he bowed as he said in a polite tone, "Than' you Madame." Lifting his head he winked at her he walked over to the door. Opening the door he paused before getting in as he replied to her earlier question, "I don' know wher' I plan on goin' righ' now, but I suppose the nearest motel will work. But, not one around her." Holding down his head Gambit slipped into the back seat. Adjusting himself he chucked noticing that it was a bit crowded back there.
Looking over to Damian he had a smirk on his face from his comment about the explosion he created a moment ago. Feeling that he should give some input on it he turn to his and said, "Oh don' worry bud, I take full responsibility for that. I'm sur' no one was hurt from that." Ending his sentence with a sly grin his red eyes glistened. Meanwhile the man he was running away from was fighting his way through the cloud of smoke and dust to catch Gambit.I AM THE LAW!

Putting the car into gear she noticed the guy flailing his arms screaming something and she just rolled her eyes and drove off. Kit stayed silent for a few minutes thinking about something. In Japanese she said to Kurai, "What do you think? They guy is a mutant. He might be able to help us out if we let him stay with us." Kit turned a corner, they were not heading where in particular and in the foriegn language continued to talk to Kurai. "Then again, he seems slightly familiar but we do need more people. Hmmm."
Kit glanced at the guy in the mirror for a moment then her eyes went back to the road. Switching back over to English so the man in the back-seat could understand her she asked, "So, you got a name or should I just call you 'dude'?"

 "I'll check him out online when we get back." Kurai replied, "Worst case as he seems fond of explosions, maybe we can let Damian play with him. Though he has a cute accent." Tala had her head cocked slightly, one eyebrow raised. "You seem familiar somehow. What's your name?"Jaime had his eyes narrowed. He recognized the face from when he had been forced to work for the Mutant Registration Committee, but couldn't recall the name.

Gambit listened curiously as Kit and Kurai both spoke in a language foreign to him. He wasn't sure what they were saying, but it was possible that they were talking about him. When a few of them asked him what his name he rubbed his head as he said, "My apologize y'all, I wasn't thinking. I have many names, but y'all can call me Gambit. And you can call me anything you wan' Miss." When heard one of them mention that he seemed familiar he said with a grin, "Well maybe it's my Movie star good looks that makes me look familiar."((Lol, thanks, but demoness hinted that I should add that XD))

She nodded in response to Kurai and then smirked at Gambits response. "Alright. You can stay with us. It'll save ya money on a hotel room." Kit said.
Within fifteen minutes they were parked in the driveway of their house and Kit got out of the car with Kurai. "I really hate this freakin' thing." She said to her partner as she deactivated the holo-watch and removed it from her wrist. Once the others were out of the back seat she glanced over at Gambit and smirked. "Welcome to our humble abode, though we may be changing locations soon now that our little amphibian friend escaped."
((Yeah she said she might in an IM earlier today. I couldn't help it. The mask reminded me way to much of Judge Dredd and I had had two giant cans of red bull so I was like cracked out on caffeine and kept thinking about that horrid movie xD ))

"Yay home!" Damian said attempting to jump out of the car but his foot got caught in a seat belt that hadn't quite retracted back he ended up catching himself on the pavement and after a bit of confused falling he was sitting on the ground with his foot unhooked from the belt bit his hand were a bit scraped up "I'm ok" he said once he was on the ground and not upside down.

"You ok, Sir Shrimp-a-lot?" Tala said, joking to cover her embarrasment at running to him when no one else did.
Kurai laughed and said "NYA! Tala-chan's got a crush!"
Jaime looked at Gambit with slightly narrowed eyes, he had recalled him now. "Just to let you know, Mr. Le Beau, I know your record, and you should probably keep sticky fingers to themselves. The foxy lady there don't take crap."
(I think I spelled his real name right. lol too lazy to check)

As they arrived at the house and Kit got out and deactivated a holographic disguise he realize that atleast one of them wasn't as normal as he believed them to be. Looking off in the distance he thought, 'If these guys are all mutants then it's just a matter of time before they figure it out. No matter I'll deal with it when the time comes.' As Kit welcomed him to there home he looked around then said, "Well it's a very lovely home. Do you move around 'lot? And who's this amphibian friend your talking about?"
Before he could get a response he was distracted by Damian falling out the car. Holding back from laughing he said with a smirk, "You alright pal?"
When Jaime called him out by his last name and told him not to steal Gambit's facial express became slightly serious as he said, "Well look y'all don't have to worry about that. Y'all can't judge me just by what you read. I only steal when I need not just for the fun of it."((It's spelled right, but you didn't need the space.))

"Well that was illuminating." Kurai said sarcastically, drawing an eyeroll from Tala.

Her ears went back slightly and she shrugged. "Well, in a way yes we do move around a bit. As for the person I'm talking about lets just say they're a loose end that I didn't get to cut when I had the chance to." She said as her team plus Gambit walked into the house. As everyone headed to the living room she stopped for a moment to make sure the basement door was locked then joined them.
"Kurai, I need you and Jaime to find out exactly who this guy is and where he came from. I know the two of you can do that very easily. Check the files I have from the the lab that are in my study. You have the key. See if there's anything about him in those too." She said to Kurai in Japanese then looked at Gambit and said, in English, "Unfortunately there's not a lot of bedrooms so until we get the extra cleared out that's full of junk you'll be bunking in my room, if you don't mind sharing a room that is." Kit didn't trust him but she was good at hiding those things from showing on her face.
"Yes, we are. It seems Toad and company got away easily. I'm sorry that they did what they did to you. Kit caught me by surprise upstairs." Samantha said with a defeated sigh.

"Yeah you know you just wanna see hi....oooof" Tala started but was elbowed by Kurai.
"We'll get on that. I'll also check my personal files too. I was forced to help hunt others as part of the mutant registration act, and that's where I recall him from." Jaime said, a long speech for him, then went up to his room, followed closely by Kurai. (for Kit's ears only->) just faintly from the top of the stairs came Jaime's voice, "I appreciate the sentiment, but could your hand be a little farther from my buttocks?"

With a slight movement of her index finger a small flame started burning Tala's shoe after that comment. "Oh damn Tala...my bad." She said with no sincerity in her voice what-so-ever. After Kurai and Jaime left to go do as she asked her ears perked up and eyes went wide before she burst out laughing. Kit stopped then looked around at the rest of them staring. "Sorry, good hearing. Apparently I'm not the one trying to get action in the house, Miss a** grabber is." She said loud enough that hopefully Kurai heard her.
