Ako knew she had a point, this was stealing, but it would help him catch a possible killer. Lesser of two evils, right? Besides, he was confident in his abilities. "Remember the dove? I'm more than just the capacitor with reaction time you saw up there. I'm stronger, now. I promise I won't let anything happen to you. Or the bike. I'll even return it when we're through."
Once she was on the bike he put the kickstand up and twisted the throttle, but dumped the clutch too fast when he tried to pull out. The rear tire of the bike spun out, but Ako's foot was on the ground before the bike could even start to tip. "See? I got this." He said, more to reassure himself than her. He gave it another try and actually got the bike going, shifting smoothly now that he had a feel for it.

Lily Stinson Lily closed her eyes tight as she felt the jerk of the bike from him using the clutch to quickly. She felt the begin of a spin out, and her hands quickly held tightly to her seat. You kill me and I'll haunt you for the rest of your life! she shouted after his reassuring speech about keeping her safe. She doubted it.
"Oh yea, you have this alright." she said with a sarcastic tone, the rain was coming down harder now, it wasn't easy to see 2 maybe 3 feet in front of her, hopefully he had the hearing of a saint, because for these conditions a safe travel would require good hearing.
Slowly she opened her eyes, seeing he actually had gotten the hang of it.. That was quick.. she thought to herself, she remembered it took her a little over 3 hours to finally gain control of her bike and learn how to properly ride it, and this guy had it figured out in minutes, it actually insulted her ego a bit to think someone could be better then her on a bike.
She watched as cars weaved pass, the rain stinging her face from the high speed. The siren's where drawing near, which only ment they where getting closer. She bit her lip and squinted her eyes in the rain, seeing the faint flutter of blue, red, and white lights. It looked like a ambulance by the height and how the lights where shaped. Someone had to of been hurt. She felt a grim feeling creep into her stomach. What if he is right, and I shouldn't of tagged along? What good am I going to be here? I have nothing special about me like Ako does.. I can't magically produce electricity from my hands, or contain some sort of pyrokinetics. Hell I'm not even physic.

Ako didn't hear her now, he was focusing on the wet road and the cars around them. He had to control his balance, leaning enough to avoid the cars, but not enough to send the bike skidding out from under them. Rain pelted his glasses, but at least it wasn't hitting his eyes directly. The rain soaked his hair and clothes, rinsing the dirt away.
Ako muttered an almost silent thanks and fell in behind the ambulance emerged from the mist. It's girth blocked some of the wind and rain, and it's dually rear tires made a nice path for the bike to follow without the front tire having to push water out of the way and risk hydroplaning.

Gray Fowler stepped out of the only cafe he could find with a cup of coffee in his hand. He ignored the rain and sat on the curb outside, trying his hardest to keep his coffee from freezing. He noticed a soggy newspaper on the ground and picked it up. He checked the date and tossed in into the street. Nothing mattered anymore.

Lily Stinson
Lily quickly jumped off the back of the bike, wanting to kiss the ground for her safety. She had to admit, she had done some pretty stupid things before, but riding with someone who has never as much touched a bike before was the up most stupidest thing she could think of that she had done.
She quickly adjusted her wet clothes, brushing her fingers through the mess of wet brown hair, that now looked black due to the fact of the rain. She could see that someone was in the back of the ambulance, it slightly alarmed the girl.
Lily bit her lip as she lifted herself on her tip toes, looking in the back, from the looks of it the subject on the stretcher was male, but that was all she could tell. It sadden her a bit to think about him being in the building that's flames where dieing away. She sighed as she looked back at Ako, unsure of what to do next. This really wasn't a place a civilian should be. She should be a safe distance away, gossiping with neighbors about what's happening. But no, she had a chance to get up front in the action, and thus hear she was, in harms way once again. Gah, when will I ever learn! she said to herself with a smirk.
As she stood behind the ambulance however, she got a clip of what was being said. She could hear a officer around the side of the vehicle talking to another male. Who she couldn't tell, the only way she knew it was a cop was due to the static coming from the same distance as his voice, in which she suspected was a radio. "They are suspecting arson" the cop had said, followed by the click of his radio. "That makes two within a few days." came a gruff voice from beside him. "The fires are strange though, they have no fuel point. We can't find any sort of fire starters anywhere on the sight." replied the cop. "Well what are you suggesting?" asked the other man... "All we can find is matters similar to a electrical shorting. But the start of the fire wasn't near anything electrical. So far that's all we have." "What the hell are you saying, Bill? That the fire was started by lightening or something? No lightening has been reported of striking a building. Not only that, but look where this fire started. Not a place where lightening would be likely to reach. You are making no since." Lily's eyes widen at what she just heard, so this fire wasn't a normal fire. It was started by someone like Ako, but she had never seen anyone like him before, and it couldn't of been Ako because he was with her. She bit her lip as she turned her attention back to her new made friend.
"It was started by someone like you. Only thing is, they don't want to seem to believe it, they are writing it off as some sort of electrical shortage. " she said hoping that what she found out would be enough to help him figure something out about all this mess. She looked back up to the burning building, hoping to see something, some sort of clue. But she couldn't see past the dieing flames, and grey outline of the building.

Lilith grunted as she rolled with the pieces of ply wood on her head to try to keep her dry. She moved slowly along the road, her hand was killing her. She stopped and sighed as she brought the pieces of wood down and set them against the building next to her. She still had a way to get home, and her gauze was not only wet, but it was no longer helping to keep her hand clean, and the bleeding had started again.
She screamed as she threw the gauze into the road and kicked the building next to her. She winced, then sighed. "Life's s**t, then you die..." She muttered to herself. "Then why don't i just die already. I've already got the shitty life part down." She rolled her eyes at her own attempt at sarcasm. She placed her good hand on her hip and frowned. She was never going to get home at this rate, but a taxi would waste to much money. She needed to eat sometimes this week....
She shook her head as she stood straight and pulled the wood back onto of her head, holding them in placed with her good hand as she stepped back on her board and pushed off. "Only 20 more blocks, Lil, you can make it."

Gray's coffee was already growing cold, he cast it aside and stood. Just then, an ambulance whipped around the corner, hydroplaning on a large puddle and sending a sheet of water at Gray. "Augh!" He yelped and held out a hand, to somehow brace himself for impact. The water froze in midair, still hurtling towards the teen. He jumped out of the way as it shattered on the brick wall of the cafe. It mixed with the rain on the ground. The ambulance moved on. Gray looked around. Hope nobody saw that...

Lilith stood in awe. She had rounded the corner just in time to see a boy, around her age dodge out of the way from an ice wall. She blinked a few times. where did... that Ice come from......? shook it off as she moved somewhat closer to him. "hey, you okay?" She asked softly. Blood dripped from her palm in a slowly, steady stream.

Annie rolled her eyes as the man just stood there and glared at her. She decided as she inspected him and pushed herself up that she didn't like the man and he was suspicious, but she didn't have time for that.
"Well, if you'll just excuse me," she snapped, running past him into the pounding rain. It took another five minutes for her to reach the fire. Ambulances and fire trucks and cops were everywhere. She scanned the rain, until she caught a glance of similar figure- Ako.
'So, he's here too...' she thought as she ran over to him, and as she did noticed a taller brunette girl. "Ako?" She said, touching his shoulder lightly as she greeted him. Quickly she asked, "What is going on with the fire? Do you know if everyone is out, okay?"

"Annie!" Ako exclaimed as he got off the borrowed cycle. "I don't know if everyone is out okay, but as to the fire itself, I think it's almost out." He looked around to make sure no one else but Annie and Lily were around to hear what he had to say next, and when he was sure everyone else was preoccupied, he quietly said, "The cause was electrical, and I don't mean too many plug on a power strip, Someone electrical caused this."

Gray looked at the girl. "I... I'm fine." He straightened up and swept some of his hair behind his ear. "Why would you ask?" But, inside, his heart was racing. Oh, God... please tell me she didn't see that...

Annie nodded. "I ran into someone who struck me as odd coming here, but it is pretty useless to try to go find him now." She glanced at the fire and took a deep breath, as she cracked her knuckles, "Like they say: when it rains it pours." Narrowing her eyes at Lilly she continued, "I assume she is Lilly Stinson... I heard someone mention they saw you two together. Only you would pick up a girl after what happened last night..."
Rolling her eyes she hissed at him, "How much does she-"
She paused as she listened to the fire fighters and cops speak, "We seems to have most of them out." Annie listened as the fire fighters began speak of the basement, the one place they hadn't gotten to yet. Annie's eyes widened as she said in a hiss, "I don't have time to figure out what Miss Stinson does or does not know, right now... I'm going to the basement: they haven't been able to get down there yet."

Lev looked down at the flea that had rubbed up into him. The flea was actually a woman, and that woman had said something, though the pitter patter of the rain didn't do much for his low hearing anywho. "Come again miss?" Lev held his hand down, a thick, callused palm that had seen days unknown of strange work. "It's a hellstorm ragin' coming on up here. Lightning and what not. We should find cover maim." Lev held a smile, thick and ivory. It was almost friendly. The woman slid past him though. "Wonder if somethin's ablaze, sure looks it." Lev spoke at her back, letting his eyes look into the spiraling smoke half a block off. Lev needed someplace to lie low. Someplace close, not too far, not too run down. Lev began towards O'Briggans, a seedy irish pub two blocks down, a skip in his long step.

"Y-you just looked nervous... Like someone was following you or something." She shrugged somewhat, and laughed. "And now you look like I'm going to bit your head off." She shook her head somewhat. "Hey... didn't we go to school together.. you look kind of familiar...."
