*Kasumi was still out cold on the operating table, but after she was kissed a shive ran through her body as a small smile appeared on her lips as she lay completely still, ready for Aes to begin the operation*

"When?" she asked, a little confused. Also thrown off that he already knew.....wait. Oh yes, Aes was half youkai, and here she was right in his second home.

He would save the shoulder for last. The bone structure there was simpler, but it was a joint all the same. The incision was made as small as possible, just enough to see if he could get a straight shot to the bullet.

Jay nodded and said "Ah...okay" As he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her gently on the lips "Well she's maturing fast...she can say almost anything she hears."

Very lucky with the first one. Someone must have healed her before he saw her, the bone and muscle structure was in perfect order, all that was needed was him to pluck it out with pinchers.. But he took his time sewing it up carefully. A small spell took away any visiable sign of stiches. Then he looked at the shoulder. Maybe he could repeat it all.

"Still my baby though" she grinned and kissed him. Then she saw a thick card with heavy print sticking out of a pocket of Jay's "Aes didn't..." she started

Jay nodded and said "Yeah, he did" He rolled his eyes and said "What a way to break it to a guy, eh? And she'll always be our baby" He said with a grin, looking down on her sleeping form.

"Did you read it? They would give us those things in the mail. Fairies, getting that stuff in their mail!" It was true and there were some parts she wouldn't like, but she could definatly live with the five meals a day.

"I suppose you'll be wanting snacks too, eh?" HE asked as he gave a laugh, saying "Looks like I'm cooking again" he said as he looked back to Pale and smiled, then whispered "How's it looking for Aes? He's been quiet"

"I wouldn't know, is something going on?" she answered in the same low voice as he did. He couldn't have been hurt, he stayed out of the fight the entire time! Of course it was ki that protected her but still.

"No, I mean...he's" He mouthed the words "operating on Kas" to her and he motioned with his eyes over behind him to Aes who was working feverishly over an operating table.

Her eyes widened as she looked back "Mab, Jay what happened to her? What happend to everybody?" she meant to only rest her head on his shoulder, but the want of ki had her kiss him before pulling away.

The second he agonized over for eight minutes before making the first cut. When he realized the scalpel had hit the bullet he breathed in relief. Delicate twezers were needed to pull that one out, and he just repeated the sewing and the spell. "You may wake" he breathed, and pulled the mask back to kiss her again.
