[Ack. ><;; Did you smite him?]

Kana jumped, then turned to glance at Kaze. She was frowning, and slowly turned her attention back to Kazan. She kept silent though, watching the small blue dot with a bit of her regular curiousity. She stared at the wing and ribbon in complete confusion for a moment, then bit her lip as she tried to refocus. Her eyes darted around, resting on Tam for a second as she saw him cutting down some of the grass. Then she looked back towards Kazan yet again. If she wanted to stop this, she was supposed to win, but she wasn't sure how. She'd mainly just learned how to float, and make whirlwinds.

Kana paused at that thought, eyes still upon her opponent. She didn't want to, but she didn't really have a choice, did she? Her eyes narrowed in focus, but she managed to keep them open. She didn't really know what it would do, but she summon some air to begin gathering around Kazan, starting at her feet and quickly moving upwards. With any luck, the girl would be trapped inside. She also focused wind around Kazan's hands, hoping maybe her weapons would be pulled from her grasp. Meanwhile, Kana slipped out her own dagger and held it tightly, though she didn't really know how to use it.

[no! He's testing somethings on our house so he can help windy xD]

Kazan squealed as her daggers were indeed pulled from her grasp and sent flying around in circles. She looked curiously at the semi-visible force surrounding her, the single wing on her back being pushed towards her face slightly. She resisted the urg to poke the wind, incase it was strong enough to damage the tip of her fingers. She didn't know quite what to do, but was ready to defend herself yet again, incase anything else happened. And, for the time being, she kept the rest of her daggers on the straps under her dress- although under the shorts she wore as well- and the sword dangling from her side.

[as you can see, i completely forgot the sword xD]

[Oh. xD;; -gasp- A sword you say? =O]

Kana froze, just crouching in mid air as she watched the daggers pulled from Kazan's grasp and spin around in the torrent that surrounded her. She didn't know what to do now. She glanced towards Kaze for a moment and then back towards the girl. She really didn't want to hurt her, and she didn't know exactly how strong the wind was either. She bit her lip hard as she shifted slightly in place, the wind moving with her feet to keep her up. She kept the wind circling Kazan as well, making it close in a bit more so she'd have less room to move. Then she glanced back at Kaze from the corner of her eye, but kept most of her attention upon Kazan.

"Attack!" Kaze yelled at her, watching through narrowed eyes. "The sooner you're done here, the sooner you can go rest and sharpen your skills before tomorrow; if you don't finish, you'll be going through today and tomorrow with no break!" he continued on.

Kazan winced for a moment as her arms were shut in closer to her body. Her wing curved in, blocking one of her eyes from the force of the wind as the ribbons rippled on her body from the winds current. "Kana, don't hesitate!" she called out, hoping it reached her. "In a battle where you have to protect yourself or someone, some opponants can get out of this easily; you can't hesitate to finish something off in order to get out. You don't have to kill something to escape, right?"

[ay, indeed it is a sword taht she has strapped to her waiste. pirate ]

Kana's ears perked as she heard Kaze, and then Kazan speak. She was still biting her lip, but she slowly nodded her head. She still didn't know what to do though. Did she really have to injure Kazan in order to be able to stop? Could she just... Kana frowned, but decided it was worth a shot. Maybe if put in that situation, Kaze would call it. Her eyes focused upon the two daggers still caught in the whirlwind that encircled Kazan and slowly pulled them out, keeping them surrounded in wind so they hovered in place. She wasn't sure if she trusted her abilities but... No, confidence! she told herself. I can do this! The two daggers suddenly shot forward, coming to an abrupt halt with the blade resting against Kazan's neck. Kana winced, but held them perfectly steady so they wouldn't pierce the skin by accident. She hoped now, more than ever, that Kaze would call the match. Though, she tried to keep ready in case Kazan found a way out of it.

"Attack, Kana!" Kaze spat from where he 'stood'. "You can't hesitate; Kazan and I have already told you that. If you hesitate like you just did, you will be the one that's going to die! Now, finish the match; I do not allow any excuses like this to call anything off," he said, still scanning through her head silently.
Kazan nodded her head at Kaze's words to Kana. "You can't hesitate," she repeated, before a ribbon suddenly lashed out at the dagger, wrapping it around the whole blade before forcefully throwing it out of the current in a small break and back at Kana. The ribbon continued to float in front of Kazan, as though it were a snake and as though it was actually alive. Thankfully, though, it didn't hiss or rattle.

[edit! have to go eat dinner now whee ]

[K! Mine's still being cooked. xP]

Kana glared at Kaze, but didn't say anything. So she was expected to actually harm Kazan? Her eyes shifted back to the girl as she spoke as well, and widened slightly as she saw the ribbon move. She grit her teeth as she saw the dagger redirected at herself and her hands tensed. Then they suddenly darted forward, and she somehow managed to catch the blade between her claws so she wouldn't cut herself, taking two hands to do so. She assumed she was only able to because of how often she went chasing after bugs and the like.

She shifted it into her grasp so she now held two, and watched the ribbon again. She suddenly wanted so badly to start playing with it... Ack, no! she scolded herself. Her eyes narrowed again in focus as she decided to shift the wind around Kazan, having it close in on her and encircle her completely, hopefully pinning her arms and legs to her sides so they'd be useless.

Indeed, Kazan was stiffened to do nothing. Only thing that could move now, it seemed, was the ribbon and her wing. That wasn't much help, though. As she watched Kana coming towards her, she kept a straight, serious face that seemed to yell 'don't hesitate, just finish'. "Do your worst, Kana. You have to be used to it; Kaze is there to heal me after... just finish!" she cried to her friend; she really didn't want this to drag on too much longer, or risk continuing hurting her friend.

[[edit; crap, sorry. My sister is making me get off xD i'll get back on as soon as she's done... sorry ><]]

[Haha, it's ok. I'm going to eat dinner sometime soon. >>;;]

Kana drifted towards Kazan, then slowly picked up her pace. The whole time she drew closer, her mind was whirling. She wasn't really going to do this, was she? But then, didn't she have to? And she was growing a little dizzy... Kaze wasn't at all ready to stop things, it appeared, even though Kazan didn't seem able to move at all. She bit her lip so hard she almost drew blood and then suddenly hurled the dagger she'd taken from Kazan forward, aiming for the girl's stomach. She didn't have any skills in throwing weapons at all, so she used the wind to guide it. The whole time, she was frantically repeating 'I'm sorry!' in her head, but still kept the dagger on course for Kazan's stomach.

[i'm sorry.. my sister neglected to tell me she was done]

Kazan's eyes grew wide as she felt the dager pierce the upper layer of her skin, lodging itself in her stomach. She shut her eyes in pain as she hoped Kana would drop the wind, now. "See, you shouldn't hesitate... it wasn't that hard," she said softly, giggling a bit. The ribbon moved now, having been forced not to, down to the dagger before it wrapped itself around the handel, ready to be pulled out before she hit the ground... assuming she ever hit the ground.
Kaze nodded in satisfaction for now. "I'm sure she hears your sympathy and apologies, Kana," he said as he suddenly appeared next to the wind, having flown down in a flash. "So, the session for today is over... although you still will have homework," he added, looking at her for a moment before dropping his hands, ready to catch Kazan for what he'd put her through.

[Don't worry about it. ^^]

Kana bit her lip and shut her eyes tightly as the dagger found its mark. How could Kazan laugh after that? Her hands clenched as she slowly nodded her head, hearing Kaze's words. She let the wind around Kazan fade completely so the girl could drop and then slowly lowered herself to the ground. Her feet touched, but her legs gave out beneath her and she fell to the ground, putting an arm out to keep herself in a sitting position. She definitely had a headache now, and was feeling quite dizzy. But she eased one eye open to stare at Kazan anxiously. "She's going to... be ok?" she asked softly, mentally beating herself up for doing exactly what she'd despised others for doing all her life.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 05, 2006 6:34 pm

By now, Kazan was comletely delusional, and was mumbling who knows what. "She'll be fine," Kaze smiled, "I'll be taking care of her, after all." The ribbon had pulled the dagger, disappearing in a splash of atoms, dropping the dagger limply onto the ground. He lowered himself and Kazan down to the grass, placing Kazan's head in his lap, her wound less then an arms length away. "Anyway, your homework is to just work on everything you learned. Be more confident in what you do and don't hesitate too much, Kana. If you can, I'd also like you to fiddle around and find more stuff to do with your powers; if needed, Koichi will be a spar partner if you'd like to test some things out, or try using a tree," he said softly, reaching his hand foward and placing it on the wound before it started glowing once again. He winced slightly, knowing he was using a lot of power up in one day.

Koichi plopped down next to Kana and put an arm around her, a grin plastered to his face. "Good job," he congratulated, "you're done with your first day of torture with Kaze," he teased. He looked her over and noted she seemed somewhat shakey. "Come now, some rest will cheer you right up, I think," he said, "unless you'd rather just relax... or something?" he asked in slight confusion.

[I don't have a good excuse if I delay. ><;;]

Kana watched Kaze and Kazan anxiously, still with only one eye open. Her face was contorted with a mixture of worry, anger, and pain, and she wasn't even sure which one she was feeling most right now. She was still biting her lip, and her fangs were coming dangerously close to piercing the skin. But, she caught herself and stopped as she took in Kaze's words very slowly. Then her head turned so she was facing Koichi as he approached. How could he be grinning right now? She bowed her head, ears drooping, as she set a hand against it. "...rest," she agreed faintly.

Watching the battle come to an end he sighed. It looked like todays was done for and there didn't seem anything better to do. Running about he ran back towards the entrance as he watched Kana land he found it odd how she collasped. Striding on over he punched his fist together and smiled.

"Great job, Kana", he said politely as he started to walk off. Training was training apparently he wasn't needed so he was off there was nothing more to do. Turning back he felt something tug at him as he saw what apprently appeared to be a sad Kana.

"No one wnat's to see a depressed kitty...what da ya wanna do?", he asked her smiling childishly

[i won't know if you delay xD]

Koichi nodded his head as he stood up, holding out one hand for her. "As for you two, I suggest running off to the dorms to rest... especially you, Kaze. You're draining your power as we speak," he sighed. "We needa get Kana a room, too," he smirked down at her, remembering his first promise. Kaze just nodded his head as he picked Kazan up-who'd successfully fainted and was no longer talking about nothing- and started with the other two out of the arena. "Kana, we'll meet here tomorrow at say... one in the afternoon. Sound good to you?" Kaze asked looking over at the girl with Kazan in his arms.
