"Are you sure?" Garret took an even bigger bag of diamonds out and held two bags on his fingers. "How much more will I have to give?"

"You don't." the guard said. "It doesn't matter how much you offer. Besides i don't need a charge of theft on me since thats most likely how you got those."

"Oh aren't you the clever one!" Garret applauded sarcastically. He put his diamonds away. "Now if you'll excuse me." Garret backed up slightly and burst through the line of guards and ran. He took a gas bomb from his pocket and held the switch down.

A young guard caught up with him and tackled him to the stone floor.

"Let go of me kid." he said as he struggled to get up, his thumb still holding the switch of his bomb down.

The other guards swarmed over them. they disarmed Garret of his bag and his smoke bomb. the young guard held him down along with two others.
Katsuko walked in. "What on earth is going on here?" she exclaimed. the guards snapped to attention with the exception of the three that were holding Garret down.
"He wouldn't give us his weapons." the commanding guard explained.
Katsuko rolled her eyes and sighed. "I suppose it wasn't your fault. you must not have known. He is the newest recruit of the guard. Give him his dagger, bombs and gases on the other hand, he doesn't need." she said.
The guards quickly got off of Garret and helped him up. They muttered their apologizes to their new comrade.
Katsuko walked past and whispered in his ear. "You owe me." she walked away. "Make sure that he adjusts well." she said, starting to walk a little quicker.

Garret angrily snatched his stuff back. "You guys tackle me again and you will wake up without teeth." he said to the guards as he put all of his things back on. "******** ridiculous!" He yelled as he stormed off to the throne room.

The guards destroyed his bombs and gas crystals.
*Why me?* katsuko thought in despair. her maids had caught up with her somehow and dragged her back to her chambers. they brushed her hair and sprayed perfume and prepped her for the ceremony. *Why?*

Garret caught a whiff of the knockout gas from his crystals and almost fell down. He ran back to them with his dagger unsheathed. "You bastards! Do you know how much I paid for those?!"

*This is why we don't give weapons to dangerous people...* one f the guards thought. "You don't need them." he said, making sure his weapon was ready incase Garret pursued a fight.

"Uh Yeah I do need'em! You know how quick you can knock someone out with that?!" Garret asked as he pointed his dagger towards the guard.

Garret ran at the guard and thrust his knife into his chest. "And you're unlucky to have it IN you..." Garret pulled his knife out of the guard and ran out of the palace gates into the city streets, all his remaining valuables in tow.

The guard fell to the ground and his comrades quickly carried him away, putting pressure on the wound. The palace went into lockdown and the ceremony was delayed. Hitoshi found Katsuko and he took her to a private room. "What in the world is going on?" he demanded. "Who is that guy?"
Katsuko shook her head. "I don't know his name. He's a thief-"
"And a murderer!" Hitoshi yelled. he gripped his head in frustration. "I can't believe this is happening...." he thought out loud.
"I'm sorry." Katsuko apologized.
"It's not your fault. I was the one who brought him in here...." Hitoshi said, calming down. "I don't know what I'm going to do with him..." he said.
"We'll figure something out." Katsuko said reassuringly.

Garret turned and saw the locked down palace. He ran into the forest and opened up the door to his den. He ran inside and closed the door behind him.
