Lydia clung to Skiaska as a child would cling to her mother, sobbing into the older woman's shirt as Skiaska pet her hair. "I-I was s-so sc-scared t-that I had l-lost m-my b-b-baby." the psychic got out through her sobs. "S-stay h-here, okay?"

Tears threatened to fall, but Skiaska closed her eyes, preventing them from doing so. "I know, hun... But eveything turned out fine. Your baby, your beatiful baby, is perfectly fine." Hugging the girl as she cried, she felt an almost maternal instinct brooding. Maybe it was partially Jag's fault, but she knew that this is what she was. A friend, a sister, and sometime's a mother that Lydia needed so much. Hearing lydia's next sentence made Skiaska hold her tighter. "I'll never leave you unless you wish it, little one..."

"Th-thank you, Skiaska." Lydia said, glad to have her friend here to comfort her. Skiaska was a good and dear friend who often was the surrogate mother that Lydia desperately needed. And right now, Lydia needed a mother more than anything. Clinging to her friend, the psychic cried, letting out all her emotions and concerns about her baby.

Edith carefully slipped into the infirmary, not wanting to make this a bigger deal than it had to be. Hopefully Lydia and Skiaska would not notice her and Gail would likely not reveal her status unless authorized to. The newly turned vampiress hastily made her way over to where Gail could normally be found.
Upon searching the entire infirmary for either Gail or Eliot, she had been unsuccessful in finding either one of them. She scowled and was about to ask Lydia or Skiaska where the medics had gone when she read a note that had been written by one of the medics. Apparently they were both hanging around the training room for some unstated reason.
With her newly inherited information, the vampiress hustled off to locate the medics before the human hunters became too much for her to handle.

While Edith was in the training room having the snot beat out of her by Sethe, Gail hastily searched for medical blood packets. She knew that she had to hurry since the vampiress was likely being teased by how many human hunter lurked around here. The fact that there was an entire crowd of them was probably not helping to qwell the poor vampiress' cravings for blood.
Gail checked the usual cupboard where she had kept the packets and realized that she had forgotten to restock them. This would cause her to have to take a small detour to the storage room so that she could get Edith her blood. This was an inconvenient time to be out of stock, but she was pretty sure nothing would happen to set the vampiress off.

Skiaska's eyes slanted over to Edith as she entered, but said nothing. When Gail entered then exited in a rush, she began to get worried, but she couldn't seem to detatch herself from Lydia just yet. I can't believe I even thought about leaving. How selfish... I need to be here for Lydia. Nodding, she let the girl cry, knowing that Lydia would tell her when she was done.

"Thank you for being here for me, Skiaska." Lydia said after she had stopped crying for the most part. "You have no idea how much you mean to me, thank you for staying."

"Hello... Reno, right? Well, I agree with you. It is good to see Lydia doing so much better." Smiling, Ski gave Lydia a soft look before hugging her again. Finally, she let go, and just sat next to the girl. "And Lydia, I don't think I CAN leave... I've grown to accustomed to this place... And, I want to see your baby, and help raise... her as a fellow hunter in your family." Still smiling, Ski imagined it. For some reason, she had an almost aniamlistic protection for the child inside Lyd's stomach. Jag grinned and spoke. "We pledge ourselves to you and yours, Lydia Aidley."

((There is no E in my name.))
"Thank you for worrying over me, Reno. Though I am not sure I am really deserving of anyone's worry." Lydia said softly. "Besides, if you thought that one of the most important things to you in the world was gone, would you accept it quietly? I doubt it." The psychic wrapped her arms tightly around Skiaska, not wanting to let the other huntress leave. "Thank you, Skiaska. For staying, for caring for my child, and for being a good friend. I do not know what I would do without you."

Reno stopped and turned around. He brought his hand to his face and sighed."No......I know the fealing. It was that fealing that got me in my line of work.I was about 5 years old when my parants were killed infront of me.My mother and father........they were all I had.All I ever wanted. And they were taken from me by a gang of vampires taking over out neighberhood. My dad lead a defense against them.......so they decided to get rid of him.My mother died making sure I wasnt spotted."He sighed."It was after that I met the man I would work for half of my life.He took me in.I was crying like a baby. But after I saw there bodies...........My eyes were on fire.I wanted nothing but to take my revenge.I cared about nothing more then to make them suffer they way they made me suffer.But.......my boss taught me that I couldnt think like that.I guess it was because of what he told me I became the way I am.A rude, smartass, lazy camando."He turned around smiling with a single tear running from his eye.

((Whoops...))
Skiaska frowned at Lydia's words. "You are very much worthy of people's worthy. And thank YOU for making me stay. I was going to do something... rather stupid." She turned at Reno's words and sighed sadly. Was it just her, or did everyone have a tearful story here? yet another tale from another broken home. Ah, at least his family hadn't hated him...

"At least you knew your family, and at least they loved you." Lydia murmured. "I have been told that it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. I do not know how true that is, and I hope to never find out, but I am sure of one thing; not a day goes by that I do not think of my parents, what they might have been like, what I might have been like had Mauser not taken me from them. And I have no doubt that he was the one who took me from them."
Lydia straightened and wped some of the remaining tears from her eyes. "But now my own child is growing inside of me, and I will do everything I can to make sure that a smiliar fate does not befall my child. My child will have a happy, loving family and will be given the choice whether or not to accept this life. It will not be forced upon my child, like it was forced upon me."

Skiaska smiled at Reno's words. "Yes. No life like we have had. Though this child will be thrown into the abyss of misfits, we will make sure that her life is full of the things we never had. Love... laughter... And quite an extensive family!" With a small chuckle, Ski nodded at Reno. "And you and Will will be amazing parents."
