Tobias wondered, worriedly, if her grandfather had made it through the storm. Was he already part of a pack with a den? Or was he stuck outside? He didn't know this wolf, but he knew that storm had been viscious. But he didn't even know anything about that wolf! He decided to stop thinking about it, the thoughts seemed to whirl about his head.
Instead, he stepped outside. He'd been wanting to stretch his legs anyways, since the storm. Looking around, he wondered where they were supposed to go, and voiced this question.
"So where is your grandfather, anyways?"

Kimaria His ears picked out the sounds of Aeria's voice as she spoke but he couldn't make out the words. The snow muffled them, and he gave a loud sneeze, the force sending him rolling back the way he had come.
Shaking his head fiercely, he trembled from the cold and raised his muzzle to give another yip.
His nose managed to find other scents of wolves nearby and sneezing again - although more gently this time - he moved towards what he hoped was the right direction. ((So so so sorry, mom took my internet ;o; I need to buy a router...)) Aeria blinked, the stark white of the snow causing her eyes to water slightly. Where was that pup? She buried her nose in the snow and began to sniff, hoping to pick up on his trail, but instead she found herself rewarded by cold snow up her nose. This is getting me nowhere she muttered, snorting.
Why was it everytime she found Gizmo she lost him again? Surely there was some way to keep track of him. Aeria shook her head before taking off running once more.

((it's fine, XD my bro is on the search for one of them too, but apparantly routers are expensive. ))
Once he had moved away from the den area and reached beneath the thick canopy of trees the going was easier. The snow had not built up so deep here and he could walk more or less normally, if he dodged the dips and bumps in the ground.
He sat back on his haunches and gave a few yips, hoping that Aeria would perhaps find the tracks he had left and follow. If not then he supposed he could always just sit here and watch the snow.
This place seemed even more different now that it was covered with fresh snow, the great white mounds changing the landscape even more. With a small sigh he would lean forwards on his front paws and raise a hind leg to scratch vigourously behind one ear.

((Yeah, they tend to be fairly pricey... but it would be nice to have wireless internet ^_^;; ))
Aeria froze as she heard a distant yip. Well, it sounded distant at least. She threw her head back and gave a brief howl before starting again.
Trees soon came into view, along with what seemed to be pawprints from a wolf. A young one, by the looks of it. She was gaining on him. Gizmo! she called again, hoping he would hear her now that she seemed to be closer.

He caught the sound of Aeria's howl and his tail wagged happily, did that mean she had heard him? He hoped so.
Yawning he would shift himself to turn in the direction of the sound, twitching his ears to pick out any other sounds. A small bird twittered somewhere above him, causing him to raise his head to glance up into the snow-capped tree.
Tilting his head in an innocent fashion he let out a deep breath, which misted the air in front of his muzzle.
Then suddenly he heard his name called out and he was on his paws in a second, peering forwards through the snow, to see Aeria's form appear from the blankets of white.
He yipped, tongue lolling from the side of his mouth and ears drawing forwards. There you be! He squeaked, wagging his tail madly.

Aeria grinned at the sight of Gizmo. You were hard to find!
She bounded forward, skidding to a halt right in front of Gizmo and sending snow flying up around them. She yipped and snapped playfully at the snow. You were hard to find because you look like the snow!

Gizmo gave a wolfish grin, taking a small step back as she skidded to a halt. A peice of snow landed on his nose causing him to shake his head to get it off. He canted his head slightly as she spoke and glanced down at his forepaws, ears drawn forward in focus.
I look like snow? He asked, raising his head to look into her eyes. He supposed he was sort of white...well when he wasn't muddy anyway.
With an excited yip he dove forwards, nipping at her forelegs and then dashed off, turning his head back to bark a challenge at her.

Aeria growled and quickly turned to chase Gizmo. She wasn't going to lose him again! A few energetic bounds brought her close enough to n** at his back legs. I'm gonna get you, Giz!
She smiled broadly as they ran along, her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth to taste the crispness of the air and her tail trailing behind her, acting as a sort of rudder to steer her as her feet were too focused on speed to deal with direction as well.

Gizmo gave a squeak of excitement as she chased him and bounded forwards as she tried to n** at his back legs. Perhaps he had underestimated her speed just a bit.
Craning back his head he yipped happily, eyes falling upon her form as she ran just behind him. You run fast! He exclaimed, turning back his head just in time to see a rock blocking his path.
He leapt up, landing on top of the boulder before using the strong muscles in his back legs to propel himself off and onto the forest floor again.
We go hunt? He yelled above the whistling of the wind which raced past his ears, remembering what they had spoken about in the den.

She nodded as best she could, ducking her head from the wind. Her ears were pinned back in an attempt to make her body a bit more aerodynamic.
What are we going to hunt? And where? Aeria asked, her eyes darting up to Gizmo.

Gizmo slowed his pace a little so that he was running alongside Aeria, that way they could talk easier. He snuffled noisily at the air and turned his head from side to side, glancing through the trees as if expecting something to come bounding out at them
We hunt long-ears? He offered, his breathing misting ahead of him.
We look by river, they there last time. He continued, fumping over another small mound and continuing on, hoping this was the correct way.

Lera was relieved to see the Human leave. She was in no sort of way angry at him, or had seemingly attacked him for agressive reasons; but simply for dimnance. As long as he was in this den he needed to obey the wolves: packmembers must be submissive to the alphas. Yet when she had performed the task she felt confusion and distress in his mind. She sighed, relieved the tension had been released.
The snow had also stopped and the wolves had begun the leave the den. Fleace eyed the white stuff suspiciously as Lera moved towards the entrace. She was hoping the adults or aged adolescents in the pack might go for a pack hunt; as they had never had. This new territory had brough new territories. There was so much prey bigger than deer. Musk Oxen, Moose, and Elk for example. Her stomach growled hungrily at the thoughts, but she surpresed the growling. The pack was restless and needed time to themselves after that long time in a confined area.
On the wind she smelt Selia, and a presence accompanied her mind. Lera was curious to who it was; as Lera had only met Selia on one or two occasions. She saw Gizmo and Aeria run off, then Jade and Tobias.
Fleance stuck close to lera until his mother walked OUT of the den. This white sutf...was enourmous and cold! He had never seen anything like it... He suspiciously pawed at it, licked it, nosed it, and then walked in it. His body gave a shiver as he immediately sunk with a "pff" sound.

My grand-father lives accross the river. He didn't want to cause a strain on the pack by joining, because of his age. So I am sure to visit him constantly! Jade trotted through the pure white snow, which came up above her knees - as so much had fallen.
Excited and slightly worried to get to her grand-father, Jade's pace slowly increased. Do you think he will be ok? Jade had already lost her parents, and if her grand-father was to come into harm's way, it would devastate Jade. She wanted Tobias to give her confirmation of her grand-father's health, and re-assure her that he would be fine. However she knew that no-one's words could make her comforted unless she saw him for herself - especially because Tobias had never met her grand-father. Asking again, slightly worried, Will he be ok?

Aeria yipped excitedly as they ran along towards the river. Her first real hunt, and with Gizmo! This was sure to be a lot of fun.
A moment passed before she glanced over at Gizmo. Are there lots of long-ears by the river? Her tail wagged a little at the thought of the two of them running through an enormous group of the critters, chasing and nipping and howling as they scattered.

The pup slowed his pace a little, enjoying the feel of the cool breeze as it rustled pleasantly through his pale fur. Raising his head, his eyes fell closed briefly as he felt the chilly winter air brush over him.
He opened his eyes to turn his head slightly towards Aeria and pondered on her question. When he and Jade had hunted them he wasn't too sure how many there had been since he had been the one who waited whilst she chased.
With a small yip he lowered his head and gazed straight ahead, the faint scent of the long-ears reaching his snout. He wasn't too sure how new the trail was but he supposed they must have crossed this way after the storm had died down.
Long-ears like groups, feel safer, there be many I think. He replied to the best of his knowledge.
He paused suddenly, ears drawn forwards as he listened, the scent of water filled his nostrils, and something else too. Could it be the long-ears? What you smell? He asked of Aeria after a moment of silence.
