Hank was in his lab/room reading and eating a twinkie.
He didn't know what was happening outside his room, nor did anyone come a visit him.
*sigh*"Rarely any visitors anymore, i wonder what everyone is doing?"
He didn't move out of his room but moved over to his lab desk and began writing and watching one of his experiments.

(Just a note: The mansion above is in ruins, but there all the underground levels are intact. It does make sense that Hank would reaquaint himself with the lab when he had arrived with the other X-Men. An vigilante, Nightshade [Dr. Desmond Powell] came to Xavier's for help, found the underground facility, and got it up and running. Then the X-Men returned and met with Nightshade. Hope that helps.)  Nightshade let Hit Girl go dress and walked into the lab seeing the blue furred Beast. Des extended a hand, "Dr. McCoy, I presume. I've read several of your papers, and I'm quite impressed, Doctor."

He put down his book and shook the mans hands.
"Ah, wonderful to meet you. So you've read my papers have you? quite wonderful."
He said standing up.
"What did you think about them?

"I was very impressed by your theories on mutation. Very informative. It helped me wrap my brain about how the mutation 'ticks'. Also, I love the equipment you've created. You biobed and molecular scanners are a wonder for the medical field. If I had those at Central City General....," Des started but interrupted himself, "I would love to go into a detailed discussion about your work, but I need to round up some people to go stop a madman in Central City with a cache of nerve toxin."

He said looking at the tape.
"Would you mind letting me hold this, listen to it enough. Maybe i can figure it out real quick..."
He walked around his lab.

Running into the lab he was running in, "Nightshade..Hank...Look at this!"
He was running with a portable mini tv.
Showing them the giant dark dome in Jump City that was on the news
"What is that thing?"

"Calm down, Frosty," Nightshade held up a hand to indicate 'halt', "We need to stop the guy with nervetoxins first. That's in Central City. Oracle thinks that he's going to the resevoir there. Considering the evidence, I think she's right."
