About: Just as Ailur and Ash are twins, so are Melanoleuca and Oasis practically twins. When Ailur got Mel, Ash was itching to get a familiar of his own. Only, preferably, male. It didn’t quite work out that way. Oasis was named after the domain of the Egyptian god that Ash was named for.
Oasis and Mel love to spend time together, and Oasis is one of the few things that gives Mel a reason to wake up. Though no one discusses it, most of the residents at the House of Mist assume that this has something to do with the fact that Oasis, like Ash, is homosexual. Presumably, Mel is, too.
