Kir's nerves were starting to affect Lily, too. She wondered what had happened since they were last there.

Kir walked to the dock and left the booking to Lily. He couldn't speak and it would be faster if someone else did the talking.

Lily talked to the person that they needed to buy tickets from. She purchased one from everyone there. "Okay, the next blimp will be boarding in a few minutes," she told the others.

Kir nodded. He moved his metallic wing over in front of him so he could inspect it more.

"There's a place over there to sit if you want," Lily said to everyone, pointing it out.

Kir lifted his wings up and started running. After a few steps he jumped off the ground and spread his wings wide. They took the breeze and lifted him into the air.

Lily watched him as he tested out his new wing. She smiled at him when he lifted off.

Kir flapped a few times and soared around in a wide circle. Then he swooped down close to the ground. He shot towards the group and scooped up Lily in his arms before going back into the air again.

"Whoa," Lily exclaimed when he scooped her up but then she laughed. "It seems to work well," she said, referring to his new wing.

"Me too, Kir," Lily said, smiling.
Lydia watched Kir fly around with Lily from the ground. They loooked like they were enjoying themselves. She had never gotten to fly for pleasure, only for survival or because a scientist told her to. She decided she might want to try it. Her wings appeared and she flapped them experimentally, like she expected something bad to happen. Then she took off like Kir had.

Kir laughed, "We have company," He said. He angled themselves so they got a little closer to Lydia, but not too close since he knew the girl was still afraid of them. His metallic wing shone brilliantly in the sun.

Lily looked down at where Lydia was flying below them.
Lydia was slow and nervous at first, but when nothing bad happened, she started to speed up. She looked over at Kir as he approached her, but she didn't try to fly away or act afraid. Instead, she pulled into a sharp climb, going high into the sky.
