"Not if you want me here." If he left and Ana never came back on her own, where did that leave Nathan? "I don't want to leave you here still upset. Nor do I really want to go without talking to Ana. It's nothing I can't get out of." It never was, really. He certainly wasn't scheduled or anything like that. There was just way too much going on for him to take off for half of the night. He reaches into a pocket to find his cell phone. Did he even still have Ana's number? He so rarely used the blasted device. He checks his contacts, is surprised to find Ana's number there and dials it.

Annora looked at her phone as it vibrated. Derrik. "What?" She answered rudely. "Look Derrik you already have my brother. Are you going to take John away from me too?" She shut her phone. The head phones that was on her head she turned up louder as she drowned out the sound of the guitar.

Nathan sighed. "I don't want to pull you away from your responisblities or whatever. I'll be fine here." Nathan looked at Derrik with a lazy smile. He leaned over and kissed Derrik on the lips. He loved his lips. "Don't worry, babe. I'll be fine." Nathan gave him a reassuring smile.

Derrik could not help but smile when Nathan kissed him. Unfortunately, his short, one sided conversation with Ana made him groan in aggravation. "Ana, Ana, Ana... you're smarter than this. Better than this." Derrik says aloud to himself as he puts away the phone. "I never had a chance to speak. God damnit." He looked up at Nathan, who was reassuring him of all things. It might have even been funny if Derrik were not angry. He kept his temper in check, but it was starting to reach a boiling point. He wasn't even particularly angry at Ana, but at the stupidity of the entire situation.
"I'm not leaving you here. How many times have you cried, in here alone, in the short time since I arrived? Two? Three?" Derrik reached up to caress Nathan's cheek. That would have been bad enough before, but now it seemed to always be because of Derrik. "I just don't want any more life shattering events happening while I'm not looking."

Annora walked out of the room crying. She wiped her eyes and walked upstairs. But then she stopped when she heard Nathan and Derrik. She felt an odd urge to spit on the floor. But she didn't. Walking downstairs she walked into the kitchen and sat there with another glass of milk.

When Annora felt tired enough, she walked out of the kitchen and walked up the stairs and into her room. Finding John on the bed she smiled. Stripping from her clothes, Annora walked over and crawled into bed looking at her ring. "I love you John." She kissed him softly and curled up into him and soon fell asleep.

Nathan looked down at his feet. "Maybe once or twice. That's just when I was alone, though. A couple of times with someone else here." Nathan walked over and sat on the bed. He sighed. "I'm fine now. A little sad, but I'm fine now. You made it so much better. Don't worry, about me anymore. You can go do whatever you were gonna do. And if you want, you can call me every 15 minutes to check up on me." Nathan said joking. as he leaned back, using his arms to prop himself up.

Derrik watched Nathan carefully, scrutinizing. He'd already missed so much he should have seen; could he really believe Nathan was going to be alright? Could he really work out the stress he was feeling if he didn't get out of the house? Nathan made him happy, happier in such a short time than he'd ever been with anyone. But he couldn't talk to Nathan about the anger, about his doubts. He believed wholeheartedly that Ana loved Nathan too much to hurt him. So now that she was hurting him... What was Derrik supposed to think? He could only believe that Ana really did object to him personally. That made him livid, but only because he would rather be angry than hurt. He had made no new friends since he was sipping juice boxes and looking forward to nap times. Losing a bond with someone he thought at least liked him well enough... yes, anger was much better than hurt. And Nathan had more than enough on his plate; he didn't need Derrik's emotions making things worse. "I'll only be a few hours." He heard himself saying, hating himself for it but knowing he'd only blow up if he did not de-stress. "If anything happens, if you need anything, you will call me. It's not a request; I want to be here if you need me. I'll see you soon." Derrik steps closer to Nathan and leans over to kiss him softly. Then he does go, his expression dark and solemn. He did not much like himself right then; maybe Ana was right to feel the same way.

John woke up to see annora sleeping in his arms. ...huh, damn it! I fell asleep. He turned off the T.V. that he was watching before he dozed off. John shifted around a bit trying to get comfortable. He kissed Annora on the cheek and got up not feeling tired. John walked down the hall, he noticed Nate and derrik but decided he shouldn't interupt. John went downstairs and made a sandwich. After eating john sat on the couch and watched some T.V. practically ignoring everyone else.

Mason just laughed as Derrik left. After she was done eating enough of the ice cream, she labeled it as hers with a sharpie, adding "Unless you want Mason germs" underneath her name with a smiley, and stuck it in the fridge. She then began wandering around the house. She was pretty drowzy from all her classes, but wasn't completely ready to go to sleep just yet. Once she realized most everyone was preoccupied, she returned to the couch and turned on E! True Hollywood Story, which happened to be a rerun of when they did her dad. She groaned, having already recieving a tape of it in the mail from her father, and seeing it multiple times, she changed the channel to HBO and watched Inside Man happily for a couple hours.
[[I'm getting off to go school shopping, but will be back tonight late.]]
