Anita gave a small smile to the fairy, but she was tuning out most of what the fairy said. "That's great, Cleo. Did you try the club down the street. I hear there is a lot of cute guys that hang out there. And plenty of music and dancing too. Not to mention all those nice flashing dance lights..." Anita said, keeping her voice calm and level. Hey, what good was all those years of college if she couldn't even handle a simple Fey?

Anita nodded. "I'd want a break if I had to put up with that constantly too." she said with a smirk as she took another long drink out of her glass. She's only picked up the glass twice, but there was already just barely anything left on the bottom. For a human, she was hitting that drink just a little hard.

"Why is she following you around anyway?" Teddy asked a little nervously. He'd been a little reluctant to speak up around Serrenedy and her flighty little friend. The pair were just kind of overwhelming. He could barely even understand most of what Cleopatra was saying and had been just tuning her out as best he could. Unlike the others at the table, Teddy was sipping from a simple Coke, not a drop of alcohol in it.

"Fairies usually cling to the first person they find to be amusing." Anita said. "Amusing, in this case being, how far can they push a person before that person tries to kill them. They more they can irritate you before you try to kill them, the longer they will stick around. Needless to say, now that it is against the law to kill preternaturals without due cause, fairies are starting to make all sorts of interesting... friends." She concluded.

"Oh, man. That's really got to suck. That Labyrinth thing doesn't really work, does it?" Teddy peered the way the fairy had gone as if afraid she might return with friends. He had of course seen that movie. More times than he really cared to admit. He hated Sarah, loved her ball gown and would totally take Jareth up on that whole obeying and being ruled thing. God, who knew that enough make up could make even David Bowie sexy? Dance magic pants. He could definitely sit through that movie again to get rid of a fairy. Or, you know, just to watch the dance magic pants. Stupid frigging lucky Sarah.

"She told me she has to after she get abandoned-she was saying something about it before I tried getting rid of her-apparently after she's gone from people for a certian amount of time she has to find a new mentor and attaches herself to the first person she sees"

Anita smirked. "The only thing I have that works for fairies is temporary at best. It would be like hanging garlic on her door kind of effect. Only good for as long as the garlic doesn't rot. Once the garlic has spoiled, a vamp can still walk right in. Once the protection against fairies wore off, it would be the same effect, and not nearly as long lasting." she said with a shrug.
"We used to play a drinking game when I was in college whenever we watched that movie. If there was a flash on the screen of Bowie's butt or crotch, we all had to take a shot of tequila. Needless to say, we were typically way past six sheets to the wind by the time the movie was over." she said as she waved a waitress over and ordered another burbon and coke.
[Teedy is just too funny!]

"Eh, I can't drink. And I don't think I'd want to be too drunk to stare into his dance magic pants." Teddy admitted aloud with a blush creeping over his face. It certainly wasn't something he usually admitted to anyone, but he didn't even know these people. What was the likelihood he'd run into them tomorrow or the day after while strolling with his friends? Not very high, so Teddy relaxed some. "Not to mention the best reason not to be drunk off my a** watching Labyrinth with my friends. The last thing I need is to lose the good judgment not to go on a rant about how jealous I am of Sarah. At best, I'll never hear the end of it. At worst, they'll figure out I'm seriously, bona-fide, rainbow flag gay."

Anita frowned. "Teddy, just how old are you?" she asked, her face going serious. Hopefully he was old enough. She just met Markus, she would hate to report him for being with a minor. She tiltied her head and scrutinized his neck, raising an eyebrow. Most people would have missed it, but she knew exactly what to look for.

Teddy shrunk back in the seat, knowing exactly why Anita was looking at him like that. "I'm nineteen. Old enough to smoke, drive, join the military and, um. That, too. Just not old enough to drink for a couple more years." Teddy wasn't sure he understood that particular law. Mostly because of situations like this. Anita was far from the first person to wonder if he were a minor. It made a kind of sense; if he was an adult then why couldn't he choose to drink if he wanted? "Heck, you can see my driver's license if you want; I'm used to having to flash it at people. No offense, but you must know what it's like at least a little. You don't really look any older than I do; you're kind of short."

Cleo came back-no less than four guys on her arms "Guess what I met a few fairy guys so now I'm not going to be home for a bit, don't worry I know where the key is hidin and I made one for myself-see you in a bit-bye"
"I have to get rid of her" She said draining the bloody mary and ordering another

Anita briefly looked over at Ren. "Maybe. It's a toss up. She may decide to leave, she may decide it's a game, and she may decide to get help, which could land you in jail for attempted murder." she replied. Her head snapped back to Teddy as he mentioned how short she was. She narrowed her eyes and didn't say anything for a long moment before cracking a grin. "Well you know what they say... the best dynamite usually comes in small packages." The smile lessens a little. "That's not why I was asking Teddy. You've been bit. You are old enough to get bit, but just barely. And they are thinking about changing the biting age to 21." Anita informed him.
[Might be back in a bit, have to clean up the living room some. -- Edit: Took less time than I thought!]
