"Alright then. I'm afraid I must retire to my room. The day's events have finally caught up with me and I am quite tired." The king said with a light smile, before walking off down the hallways. The rooms had names written on the doors for each of Selena's guests, though no name was on Selena's door.

Vadász didn't let out any sounds from the bag, nor did Priya. Even when they were jostled around a lot they were silent. He did burst out the moment she opened the bag, perching on her shoulder, ruffling his wings as a feather fell free. He nuzzled her cheek in answer which meant yes, noticing Priya take her other shoulder.

"Alright m'lord. Rest well." Leena said softly, watching him go with a light sigh. She noticed a door with her name on it, but she didn't go inside, instead she wandered out into the forest, finding a good tree nearby before sitting down, leaning her back against it. She looked up at the leaves canopy, pondering what Kantern had said and their discussion. She also thought of what Vadász always begged her to do, a faint smile passing across her face. He should stay here... out of Talagand. She sighed heavily, her white hair standing out against the green and brown of the wood.

"Sorry it wasn't any bigger. We should be out soon though, unless we aren't going the right way...." Cori murmured, closing the bag again and reaching up to stroke his feathers lightly, fingertips running across and between them. She didn't do it intentionally, really, it was more of a natural reaction. There's an animal(bird), must pet and hope it doesn't bite.

Vadász fluttered his wings, hearing Priya chirp in answer this time. His golden eyes looked around, though it wasn't like he knew the direction in which they were going. He seemed pleased at the petting, as did Priya.

((lol, it's fine. Skipping ahead then))

Cori paused, glancing around as they rode. Something was different. "Magic." she murmured, smiling. "I think we're out of Talagand." she said quietly to the two, who she'd stopped petting not too long after she'd started. She could only hold her arm up to her shoulder for so long before it started getting tired. She could tell from the air, it didn't feel the same. Unfortunatly there wasn't a big sign saying 'welcome to Faerie' or 'Now leaving Talagand, but that couldn't be expected, even if it would be useful.

Vadász remained on her shoulder, alert and wary while Priya was just watching where they were going. Cocking his head, he saw Priya had already changed to her human form, her wings spread. He would remain a hawk until they were sure, he couldn't take the risk that he would be spotted.

Priya breathed a sigh of relief as she was allowed to change into her half form, flying a little above them among the trees. She was careful not to bump into anything, soon swinging out of view of the two of them.

"We'll know for sure soon." Cori murmured, reaching up and lightly stroking his feathers, meaning to reassure him. Within half an hour she smiled, seeing the grove mentioned in her directions. "Only a few more hours to the castle." she said quietly, slipping from Tyri's back and letting the mare walk unburdened to rest. She'd pushed her too long without such of respite to keep her pace up.

Vadász appeared pleased as she stroked his feathers, he did feel a bit better at that. He didn't waste anytime transforming the minute he heard her say how long it would be. He slid an arm around her waist, walking her in that way. "That is good." He murmured, kissing her cheek with a small smile.

Priya was flying ahead of them, diving down when she saw the Queen, noticing how she was obviously lost in thought and meditating. She didn't bother her, instead she landed in a tree and waited for Cori and her brother to catch up.

Kantern at the wink, remaining quiet till she was off and gone. Watching her go, he spoke softly. "Roran's not going to the elf princess." Swinging his head to face the other direction, he sighed heavily. "Roran, you better be safe. come back in one peice, we need you." Changing into his were form, he went jumping into the mountains, searching for the only flower that could help him finish a knowledge potion.

"Which, us being here or how long's left?" Cori asked with a smile, leaning slightly into him and looping the reins around the saddle horn. She wouldn't need to hold them, Tyri wouldn't stray.

Vadász blinked a little, giving an almost nervous smile that he tried to conceal. "Us being out of Talagand." He answered, his hand rubbing her side gently, not going too high or low. He still felt a little weird being twice her age... and yet so at peace and happy. "I was afraid those following us were after me and that I was jeopardizing everyone with my presence. I shouldn't go back if I can help it." He murmured, shaking his head, knowing what shame he had brought his family by being banished.

"There's other ways to get past Talagand to Mereth or Aduil. If we go back we can go around, it shouldn't take too too long..." Cori murmured, looking up to him and watching him for a moment. "You're still worried, arn't you? Well, uncomfortable. Being older than me, I mean." she said softly, wishing he wouldn't be. But she wasn't sure what she could say or do to make him feel any better about it.

Vadász almost didn't hear her, he was thinking of what he should be. He should have creases in his face, his hair should be getting some silver streaks, he shouldn't feel this vibrant and healthy. Not quite at least. Blinking a little, he nodded to her speaking about the other ways to get around. He did pay attention as she spoke again, looking down to her with a small smile, some of his worries slipping in despite himself. "I'd be a liar if I said I'm not." He said softly, kissing her forehead. "I can't help it Cori, I know it's silly when you don't care about it and so it shouldn't bother me. But..." He sighed, looking up to tree's leaves above them. "I guess it just makes me more cautious. I already ruined my family's life, and I just don't want to ruin yours. You could have found an elf or whomever else that is about as old as you, so why hang onto an old fart like me?" He asked in a quiet voice, she didn't know that his sister shared his fate. She may have been a few years younger than him, but she was still older than her body. She had been young and he old and he had ruined her during his greatest mistake.

"Because by some chance of fate I happen to love this old fart." Cori said softly with a faint ghost of a smile before she looked out to the trees, speaking quietly. "Most elves tend to be self-centered, and think themselves better than the other races. Most wouldn't even consider me because I'm a Ranger, an exclusive job with only a couple other women, none of them full-blood elves. The Rangers are usually human or half-elf, because they see time as important, while most elves don't. We live to be centuries, what's a couple months to someone who might as well be immortal?" she shrugged, not looking up to him.

"And, everything revolves around family. My parents are the only ones left with any respect. The twins are god knows where, one a thief the other a mage helping him or doing whatever she can to get enough to feed herself. And I'm the Ranger who got herself caught and quit them. Just because of that very few elves would so much as look at me if they didn't have to. And, it's stupid, but if I were to find a human, they die so much quicker than us... I just, don't want to wind up like my sister." she finished softly, not looking at him. She didn't want to wind up with a broken heart and have to try and get over it, with several centuries left to remember him.

Vadász saw her smile, his arm tightening around her just a little, drawing her a little closer against his body. He listened silently, lowering his eyes, he had seen what pure blooded people thought of those that were mixed. He had watched Leena suffer, he had sensed how others had suffered.... He sighed lightly at her last statement before she began to speak of family, bowing his head. He found something, anything for his eyes to look at while he listened to her speak.

He stopped them both in their steps, his other hand gently lifting her chin so that she would look at him, he wanted her to so badly. "Well your stuck with me for a long time then." He said softly with a smile that was filled with tenderness and adoration for her. The smile faded a little, growing more serious and smaller before vanishing entirely. "Priya has had to suffer for me, she is the only family that I have left that won't acknowledge me with scorn and despise. But she suffered for me, she has been beaten, taunted, and has dealt all of it with a small smile on her face. My people won't look at me, they would sooner kill me than do that." He murmured, bringing his face a little closer, his violet eyes not leaving hers. "My sister and I have watched others age while remaining young ourselves and we were spurned for it. Her more than me since I lived among the Mereth, they don't grow old fast either. So, I can't help it if I'm a little uncomfortable with how my body has not aged with me." He added, his thumb stroking her cheek softly, a faint smile rising to his lips. His other arm remained around her waist, keeping her close. "But if such a thing has brought me you, then I will try to forget such feelings and allow myself to love you freely. I just may need some time for that." He couldn't help but chuckle, then kissing her softly at first, deepening it a little. He could let go, he would force himself to let go for her.
