Well, making your own magic wands is always a dead giveaway and is a pretty good guage of HOW obsessed you are.
Twigs picked up by the roadside? Mildly obsessed.
Rolled-up and painted paper wands? Moderately obsessed.
Hand-carved, sanded, varnished and waxed wooden wands? Insane.
And I haven't done this with the HP fandom, but I've caught myself doing it for another and so I figure it could be applied:
You know you're obsessed when you look at your bowl of fruitloops and assign each color to a particular character for one reason or another. Then, with every spoonful, you look at the colors/characters in it and instinctively think of how they relate to each other (family, friends, classmates, etc).
