Anthony shook his head at the Marine. "Son, you best be getting back to where you came from."
he turned to the Elite. "My apologies. our boys can be clutterish, but they mean well."

The sergeant couldn't help but turn red as he turned on his heel. "Yessir."
Hudson headed towards the makeshift mess hall and grabbed himself a plate of pasta and a full cup of lemonade. He found a seat by his comrades and sat down, smiling to all of them. The lemonade refreshed his parched lips and the heated pasta satisfied a starving somach. To cheer them up he gave them the best pep talk he could think of.
"Don't worry, boys. I'll bet you the first thing they need, they'll call on us. we're good for it." He smiled and took another bite of pasta. We'll be ready.

Checking his rounds, he looked to the Elite Commander. His eyes were calm and focused.
"Commander, I'm sorry for the wait. Our Commanding Officer is not here yet. (OOC: MIKE THATS YOUR CUE!) But if you dont mind, I would like to discuss merging our forces. I've seen how you fight, though we might not fight as honorable as you, we do have many of our units ready."

The Sangheili warrior looked down at Karr and nodded slowly. He frowned slightly, but understood. He too was a warrior and knew the demands of running an outpost were taxing. While humans were dedicated and resourceful, they were not all-encompassing. Nothing was, except perhaps the Parasite.
"Your ways are different from ours, such... situations are to be expected. A merging of our forces would prove to be an interesting endeavour. Yet if we are to follow this path there is much to discuss and very little time. For once our Ship Master calls, we must leave. The Prophet must be stopped."
Lipton ambled into the Mess Hall and took a seat next to Sergeant Hudson and his men. He pulled a chair up and sat down backwards, leaning on the back of the chair. He was all smiles.
"I saw your exchange with their commander. Don't beat yourself up about it sergeant. They're as alien to us as we are to them. I have a feeling that once things get going we'll get to know each other better. For the moment though, you might want to slow down on that pasta. It's a treat compared to the MREs but I don't want you loosing your stomach in the field."

"Understood Commander. Will you wait one moment...?"
Anthony, frustrated at his CO's. He switched the COM to the overhead COM system.
"Commander Hammer or Major Lipton, PLease come here ASAP. THANKS!"

((I'd post as Lipton, but I don't want to have my characters interact with each other if I can avoid it. If that happens it is no longer a collaborative story.))

OoC: 666th post of this thread! Beware!!
Lukin smiled and put the giant sphere of pasta he had on his fork back on the plate. "Sir, I certainly hope so. Those Elites are tough, and they know how the Covenant think. We could definitely use them on our side of the war. And trust me, sir, once you put us on the field, it'll be hard to get us off." He smiled again.

((hey I love command & Conquer Generals, I'm just so sad I beat it so quick crying ))
"I can't take it anymore!" Ari shouted, he was tired of waiting around doing nothing. He was glad he and his men were safe, but they had nothing to do for the past 48 hours, and it was getting irritable. Ari decided he was going to find his squad some action, if he could not get an order from someone, Ari walked into the mess hall, and immediately he spotted, an officer, and his men near the officer, so Ari walked right up to him, saluting.
"Sir, Corporal Ari, 301st Marines, Alpha Company. Me and my men have been sitting around for the past two days doing absolutely nothing, and we are becoming.... well quite frankly sir, we're becoming restless, and another thing ....Lipton sir, I just wanted to inform you that we came from pelican 768-14, we had a crash landing, killing the pilot, and all but me and 5 of my men."
Ari then waited anxiously for the reply.
(sorry for bad ending)

Lipton looked the man over and returned the saluted.
"Take a knee or a chair corporal. Sorry to hear about your loss, but now's not the time for a body count. Lord Hood is talking with the Elite CO, the Arbiter and the Chief about what to do next. Don't worry, you'll get your action soon enough."
He paused, as if thinking of something important before he continued.
"Relish the down time you've got Corporal. I've been through enough to know that these breaks are far and few between. We're all humanity's got left. This is the final line of defense. Here, on Earth. Either we press ourselves too hard and tire out, or we fight as hard as we can, taking advantage of whatever lull in the fighting there is to rest and ready ourselves for what's coming. Humanity doesn't exist if we lose. Remember that Corporal."
He turned back to the Sergeant and shrugged.
"So, where are you from Sergeant?"

Commander Hammer stepped off the lift with a clatter, crushing a small specimen under the heel of his boot. It was clear to him that it was going to take a lot of force to get the outpost up and running once again after the onslaught of the Covenant previous. However, when he was paged that an Elite Commander was waiting for him he hastily completed all operations he was involved in at the time and stepped lively onto the lift. How that he was finally on the same level as the Commander he could relax a little. It was funny; dressed in his armor Commander Hammer looked like another version of the SPARTANs. He wondered how the Commander would respond to this. "Commander, I'm sorry I couldn't be present earlier. Pressing matters needed tending to."

The Sangheili warrior looked at the armored human with concealed interest. It resembled the human Spartans. The ones who had been known as demons within the Covenant. He was still far shorter than Anso, and he had about three hundred pounds less muscle, but there was no doubt that he would be a challenge in hand to hand combat. If anything, humans were resourceful.
"I understand. Your warriors were kind enough to allow our phantoms to land here. The artifact is secure in our hands. Now all that remains to be decided is whether you will follow us to the b*****d Truth, or whether you will stay on your world."
As he spoke, massive lances of superheated plasma streamed down from the forward batteries of the Separatist ships. The Sangheili would burn all that had been tainted by the parasite.
"While there are those in our fleet who are unsure of this alliance between our species, our fight is the same as yours. You are welcome to accompany us. I ask that you decide quickly, for I must return to our ship."
A single CCS-class cruiser floated lazily toward Fox Hole 2. Its hull was scarred and pitted, memories of battles long past etched into its metal skin. She was an old ship, but a strong one. She had seen seven hundred battles and never lost. The Unyielding Reverence came to a stop above the human encampment.
Anso knew why it had come. The parasite had reached this facility before the Sangheili had arrived. It would have to be burned to the ground. He looked to the human and stared at its head.
"Human, all ground touched by the Flood must be cleansed. This facility will be destroyed. I ask that you leave before our ship begins its task."

The Commander gazed back into the eyes of the elite finding the true animosity behind them, and the cunning. "I will accompany you, Commander. You are right, this fight is mutual." One quick glance around the hanger showed that each man was ready to take to it once more. "My men here will venture through the portal with us."
"I'll give the order to round up operations, grab ammo and haul a**. Commander?" Michael reached out his hand to the Elite. He wasn't sure if the Sangheili Commander was accustomed to their sign of friendship yet, but he'd still keep his hand out there. "I'm with you."

The Sangheili commander eyed the human curiously. They were doing it again. Sticking their hands about. The commander supposed it was a human custom and shook the hand somewhat awkwardly as he tried to mimic the behavior he had obsevered between humans.
"We shall burn a path to the b*****d Truth and sever the head of the Covenant, ending this war once and for all."
He began to turn but stopped to say more.
"If you do not have a ship, there is room on the Unyielding Reverence. We lost many brothers during the betrayal at Halo. Be quick, for we shall leave soon."

Winter watched in silence, standing within the throng of elites. Assault rifle slung peacefully over his shoulder, nobody would note the safety pin flipped away. It looked safe but it was Winter's trick. Finger against trigger and he'd be on rock and roll.
The foot taller elites surrounded him, he looked like a little strong figure around them. His own powerful shoulders bulging from the black armored suit. Lord Hood was a smart one. They'd follow them huh? Perfect.
Standing at attention he eyed the elites from within his mask, a black visor blocking the thoughts that traced his face. Then a strange smile came across his lips. Looking ruthless with the scars that scattered his face. They were actually doing it. They were actually going after the b*****d Truth.

"A-Company with me, First platoon on your feet and on my a**. Lets move Marines!"
