Skarlet watched with slight amusement as Wanda walked around in a daze. Beat that, freak. Just as she that thought crossed her mind, though she sensed hatred, and closeby to it was empathy and comradery. Surveying the area, Enmity noticed a man with a large object raised against the girl, and behind him was the boy she had sensed the latter two emotions in. As she went to study the boy closer, though, everything went dark. What the hell!?! I sware, how many mutants are there around here? I have seen almost a dozen since yestersay morning!
Not wanting to be the cause of yet another riot, Enmity lowered the fear in the area. At the same time, she chose to also lower the confusion in Wanda. She seemed like she wouldn't mind taking out a few civilians just to get to her enemy. Hopefully she will believe I had something to do with this odd power-out, and continue her search for me further on.

OOC: Sorry for the non-posted, guys! My computer's been acting hella wierd today. I'm surprised I got this far smile oh, btw, does everyone like my Avatar's new look?
IC: "Well," Reese said after quite a long pause. "I don't really know what it means to be a part of anything. I never have been. But I do want you to know, you're always welcome back, and if anyone wants to argue with that, they'll have to toe with me."

Regina smiled and gave him another hug. "I'll keep that in mind... and you're welcome to tail along on the camping trip. If anyone disagrees then tough on them. But I don't think you'd want to... we'd be such downers. While they talk about how mutants and humans should get along, we'll be muttering insults about humans." She grinned, hoping to make him feel better.

"Well, I hope not..." Regina shrugged. "I'd like you along. Just to make sure you're okay and not left all alone like I was. It's hard to make friends at the brotherhood house. Besides, it might be fun."

"Yeah, I can understand that..." Regina nodded and looked ahead, she groaned softly. "Not the mall again... Hey, there's Phenix in the crowd. We can ask her and if it's okay I guess we start packing."
Heading over through the crowd to the redhead, Regina silently hoped that Reese would be allowed to go. She liked the fact that she was making friends already, but she wanted someone she really trusted to be there. And for some reason, even in their short meeting, she trusted Reese the most.

Wanda's reaction to everything was so strange, not like the girl she had seen before on the field and off. What was going on? Why the sudden tension in the crowd? It wasn't Kim. Kim was off with Jacen somewhere. No, it was that other girl. The one they felt in the instutute. THe one that Regina had mentioned. It had to have been. There were too many people around for her to pin point the energy to tell if her theory was right.
"I wish I was a telepath," Phenix said. She would have loved to have been able to stretch out her hand and make everybody stop in their tracks. But the source of the problem was the only way to make it stop. She wasn't equipped for that.
"Dammit, I just want to go camping," Phenix sighed.
"Then why do you stay?" Kylia asked her pushing her own way through people to the permeter where Phenix was leading them.
Phenix shrugged, "My own sense of duty. These people are being influenced unduely, and if somebody gets seriously hurt after I didn't try to stop it, then I will blame myself."
"Is that what it is to be an X-Man?" Kylia asked again. Then it hit Phenix. In a way, Kylia reminded her of a character from an anime she watched. Was it Ghost in the Shell? Maybe Evangelion? She wasn't sure, it had been awhile. Kylia had that innocence about the world and yet, an infinite wisdom and oneness with machines that Phenix couldn't understand. Phenix's oneness was with the energy of life.
Phenix finally got out of the center and stood up on a bench trying to see Wanda and maybe that mutant Regina had talked about, "It is for me. Everybody is an X-Man for their own reasons. Mine is to protect innocent people. These people are innocents."
Regina caught up with them almost as soon as Phenix stood on the bench. She was surprisesd to see Regina but then she remembered the lunch date. Phenix wasn't sure that she had met Reese before, but he was familiar.
"Hi, Regina, looks like we can't stay away from trouble," Phenix thought she spotted Wanda walking around in a daze.
"Hey, would you mind if I went to start packing or if Reese came with us?" Regina's voice told Phenix that she really wanted both things.
Phenix shook her head, "Of course. If you go, can you do me a favor and take the gear and things back to the Institute with you? They're in the trunk of the car. I don't know how long I'm going to be here."
"What's going on?" Regina tried to look up at what Phenix was looking for.
"Tell me if you see that girl from the Institute," Phenix pulled Regina up on the bench with her, "I think she's causing this rucus."

TNL yawned as he got out of bed and stretched widely. He slipped on his black pajama leggings with red eastern dragons on them, and stood up. He scratched a little, then walked out of his room to use the restroom. After a minute, he returned to his room and looked at the clock, and his eyes went wide. "Shoot, it's afternoon!" He slipped on a white tank on and ran his hands through his hair, both messing it up and blending the rooster's tail in with the rest. He yawned again, and blinked several times. "Okay, tomorrow's the camping trip...and today...oh wait, Regi was suppose to go to lunch with that Reese guy today." TNL shrugged and walked out of his room, out of the male dorms, and into the main lounge, where he flipped on the TV and turned to one of the many sports shows. "ESPN 1...ESPN 2...ESPN 3.... ESPN 12....ESPN 17....ESPN 23. Ah ha, there we go, skating." He left in on the skating channel and flipped the channel ever once in a while.

Regina stood and looked around, then frowned at the sighte. "It's Wanda... But I don't think she's the one causing problems. She's in a daze, but it doesn't look like she's going nuts on everyone around. It's like a mob formed and they're the ones fighting it out, not her."
One thing Regina knew, was that she could read the occurences after they happened. It came with being an anthropologist and always having to figure out the aftermath of how something got where it did. And then why...
"Sure, we'll take the stuff to the house..." Regina answered, hopping down again. "I don't have much loyalty toward them.. but maybe you should help. I'd just get in the way and she always seems to get pissed at me when I do."
With that, Regina and Reese gathered the things from the trunk and somehow made it back to the Institute without dropping anything.

OOC: Not to make a big deal about it, and we can disregard it if need be, but in my previous post I got rid of the lights, and skarlet replied as if it happened, but now it seems to have not happened. How about it happens after Regina's post?

OOC: Not a problem. As I had said on AIM, I had a baby attached to my leg so I missed it. smile
IC:
After Regina left, Phenix questioned why she was there. Regina was right in a way. What loyalty did Phenix have? She didn't have long to question when the lights dropped from teh building. THe only thing that could be seen was some fleeting rays of light from the skylights.
"Nice... this is going to turn into pandemodium soon."
"Maybe I can help with that... I saw an access corridor about twenty feet to our left," Kylia offered and stepped off of the bench. Phenix lost her into the dark as security guards and police started showing up to help usher people out of the darkness outside.
Phenix called Kylia back, "Kylia, lets not get involved in this one... if the police can get this under control then we don't need to make ourselves an open target."
They both followed the crowds outside into the light. Hopefully that would cool them off.
