when Kayla got home she found a man in her living room. he looked familiar but she couldnt put her finger on it. wait, Kane? is that you? so you do remember me! Kane had been her fathers best friend and business partner but there was something different about him. he no longer had that carefree look in his eyes. it looked guilty now. like he had done something horrible that would haunt him for the rest of his life. thats when Kayla's mother walked in. judging by the smiles i guess you remember each other. yes, oh shot i wish i could talk more but i have homework, i'l come done when im done. the truth was that the new look in Kane's eye was giving her a bad feeling. didn't Kane and dad get in a huge fight about a promotion a few days before the fire? they did and he sent me and Preston gift cards anyway. thats why we were out of the house during the fire. could Kane have...? no of course not. Kane was like an uncle to her and Preston, but there was the huge fight. Kayla didnt know what to do. she didnt have any homework so she laid on her bed to think. she ended up falling asleep.

Kayla said in her dream. she looked around to the front door. we'll only be gone a few hours. when we get back we'll go to Olive Garden for dinner that was Kaylas mom, but she sounded differnet. so happy and at peace. Kayla and Preston were with her. they were going shopping and they were chatting happily about what they were gonna buy. okay. i'll see you then and dont spend to much of mom money. that voice. Kayla knew that voice. she turned around to the living room and saw her father. she wanted to run and hug him but she couldnt move. this was the day of the fire. her mom, her and Preston left and closed the door. her father went to go lay on the couch for a nap when there was a knock on the door. her father got up to get it. Kane! what are you doing here you scum! i just came to make sure your kids got their gift cards. you sent those. why? so that they would be out of the house when i did this. Kane knocked out her father and pulled out a can from behind his back and poured it all over the house. it was gasoline. he then picked up her father and laid him on the couch. it looked like he was asleep. he went into the kitchen and knocked over a candle and the gas began to burn and spread through the whole house. then it was just like her older nightmares wherre her father woke up to find the house on fire. Kayla woke up with a start. could that have been what happened? they were mad at each other during the fight. it had something to do with a promotoion but that would mean the 2 of them not being parteners. dad had gotten the promotion and Kane was jelous and promised it if dad didnt want it or couldnt take it. it could have been him!

kayla couldnt stay in her house with kane there she was to freaked out. she decided she would go to work. she was happy she had that new excuse. she told her mom and walked outside. John? that you? she called down the road.

you have no idea how good it feels to see a friendly face! i just had the weirdest dream and encounter in my life! it felt like i saw into the past or something and i saw how the fire at my old house started and now i dont know what to believe!

but its so weird because the guy in my dream that started the fire actually could have done it! he has a motive and everything, but i dont know because he was always nice but then he had he fight with my dad and it was him who sent us the gift cards... oh sorry im rambling.
