Eric shifted his hip quiver, making the gently glowing bars of rebar easier to get ahold of. he slung his crossbow across his back. "Born ready, big man. Let's rock."

Jarred grinned. "Good. Pen?" He turned to face her, holding the Flak Cannon in one hand, pulling out his pistol. He ran up to her, holding it out. "Take this, and get people on the ship." Jarred motioned to the ship that had docked, the hatch leading into it, guarded by a big scurry thing who's description I can't remember but Steube can. "We're gonna drop that big thing and get the stone." He glanced over at Forde's body. "Might not hurt to bring him with. Drop anyone that starts trouble, we're bad enough as is." He nodded. "Stay safe."

"Voodoo? I'll remember that." Pen observed the commotion with slightly surprised eyes, but snapped out of it when Jarred called her name. She looked down at the pistol he offered. "Are you sure you can spare it?" Her eyes narrowed slightly at the mention of dropping the big ship. "You're running off to do something stupid, aren't you? And pawning the job of herding people into a ship on me, to keep me out of the way? "
She grudgingly took the offered pistol, and then slipped it into a pocket, leaving her one arm free."I'll be safe, I'm assuming that's why your handing me this job in the first place." She glanced up at his oddly glowing eyes and couldn't resist a slight smile. "You be safe too, all right? I'll want to have a chance to yell at you when all of this is over."

((He meant dropping people))
He hefted the Flak Cannon, propping the butt against his shoulder, the end pointing in the air. "I can spare it. And yes, we're gonna go get the stone. Then we can figure out what to do with it."
He grinned broadly at her last statement. "I plan on it. Take care, Pen." He walked over to Eric, facing Sean and Cookie and Haldis, who were a good ways away from them. The people had ran away from them, though they had begun to run for cover once violence started in the first place.
He lowered the gun down to his hip, holding it with both hands, aimed in the direction he faced. "Ladies first, Chase."

((Ah! dropping that big thing as in cookie. that clarifies things a bit.))
"You too," Pendari said as she watched him head off. She moved to start filtering people into the ship, including Forde.

"You're the one with the ugly stick. I'll cover you from back here, and step in when you need it. I got the crossbow." Eric shifted the crossbow into a ready position, loading a length of rebar into it, getting into position and crouching. "Go on, big man."
Sean whipped out of the way, pulling his blade free in one fluid motion, stepping from the pipe and the gathered people in one fluid motion. "I would appreciate a certain absence of breaking my bones."

Jarred opened the duffel bag, pulling out a thick coat that ended at the waist. The inside was layered with thick, metal canisters.
"Hey, guy with the sword?" Jarred hollered, walking across the quickly emptying room, the Flak Cannon resting over his shoulder. "Don't know you, but I'm willing to call a truce while we drop this thin. Deal?" Jarred didn't wait for an answer, leveling the flak cannon, firing it at Cookie. The canister was propelled down the length of the short barrel by a shaped explosive. It was a smaller round, so it shot out the end, the end disintegrating as the thermite inside ignited, sending a shotgun blast from hell at her, comprised of large chunks of burning metal shrapnel. Jarred quickly loaded in another, larger round, cocking it.

Cookie grabbed Haldis's arm as Sean stepped back and growled, "And I would appreciate you staying out of--"
But she broke off with a scream as the shrapnel torn through her, falling to the ground in convulsions.
The woman in the butterfly mask ducked under Xeen's corpse like a shield out of reflex, but set him back down and stood after she saw Cookie hit the ground. She sighed heavily and shook her head. "Aryn, stand down."

Ora easily maneuvered out of the way of some of the shrapnel pieces that headed her way, before one hit her suit, and the suit, reacting as if being attacked, locked down. The cuffs on her hands clanked together along with the rest of the suit, pulling into itself and holding her still as her air was cut off, and her sight.
Haldis, however, seemed rather pleased with the whole situation. The deaths, along with the violence and general chaos, made her giggle. She clapped her hands a few times in appreciation to the scene.

Sean dashed behind a wall, enjoying a spectacular view of the carnage, while getting none himself. "Thanks for the warning, sport!"
Eric lowered his crossbow. "You know, Jarred... I'm kinda sad now. I want to find something else to shoot."
