Kasuke looked down to the boy.
"What you call evil is nothing but an artificial construct, and what you call peace is an illusion yes, but at the same time I do not think I would say it doesn't exist. An illusion is merely the misinterpretation of an already existing phenomenon, that is the first rule of Genjutsu. I believe the apt term is, where there is smoke, there is fire." he returned Kasuke's gaze. "Peace, I think, is the interpretation of what you have brought to this village. Even if it is not the illusion of peace people might see it as, I do not think that I would say it's nothing." he sighed "No, I think you've done well..."
The man returned his gaze without an expression. Maybe Xenon didn't understand what he meant, he must be speaking too figuratively. What ever the case, he like all young bucks was under the impression that his logic was very great.
Semeku took her place in the row of anbu.
And his logic was, definitely, but from Kasuke's view he needed to learn some humility. "I agree with you. I'm not trying to create a Utopia, and If ever I do, please stop me. As for your two options of peace, both aren't plausible actions for constant protection. So our only option is stalling." he held the scroll up, "Besides, I'm not protecting Oto from foreign powers now."
"Kasuke, shut it, and get over here!" Semeku yelled back, with her hands in the tiger seal, just as the others did. With that the Kage stepped away from Xen leaving him behind, and positioned himself in the middle of the semicircle. The scroll in his hands.
"Open it."
The room fell quiet as all the anbu and the jounin, Semeku, closed their eyes. The already prominent pressure in the room rose even more. As their hands began to glow with chakra, Semuku shot open her eyes.
"Now!"
All the shinobi, except for Kasuke and Xen thrust themselves down to the ground. Their palms smashing into the cool stone. Instantly seals shot out from each of their hands and made their way to the vault. As they climbed the wall and touched the massive stone seal, it began to glow bright blue. Kasuke only feet away struggled against the massive pressure coming off of it. His hair and robe flipping back. As the expert funin jutsu master worked on a counter summoning the vault groaned heavily. Then there was an explosion of smoke, and all that remained was an abyss within the massive black whole. For a moment there was silence. The anbu breathed heavily with the effort. Kasuke stepped forward into the vault and walked until he was barely visible in the shadow.
"Tabemasu Seishin!" he yelled into the darkness. There was silence for a while, but a dull white glow began to grow. As ghostly illuminated lines of a figure formed into a massive creature. It's fat body and pudgy dragon like legs the only visible part. An odd cow tail crew from the strange transparent creature. It's face finally materialized into that of a fat, old man, which rose 30 feet into the air.
A thundering inhuman voice rung out through the place, "Why do the humans always bark me awake. I was sleeping." the spirit leaned down and sent a rush of air down and out through the whole.
"Tabemasu, you wouldn't say that if you knew I had come to feed you." The Kasuke shrugged his shoulders.
The creature perked up it's body and leaned it's head close down to Kasuke,"Otokage, have you brought me a tasty child?" he searched up through the whole, "I could smell it. I knew you were so kind. Such a good little Otokage." It's tail wagged excitedly behind it.
Kasuke smiled, "Tabemasu, I told you no more of that." The massive beast sat back down, It's plump belly hanging out over it's legs.
"Then you're a filthy wretch." It said annoyed that it had gotten up at all.
Kasuke shook his head, "Oh Tabemasu, you wouldn't say that if you knew I was hear to feed you a powerful scroll." Now the beast raised it's head and legs out an odd roar, suddenly crazed.
"Otokage-Kyou, GIVE ME THE SCROLL." It roared.
The man didn't dare step back to show his caution. He quickly pulled it up and held the snake contract. Tabemasu wiggled with delight at the sight of it. The man threw the scroll up high and far. The creature jumped up and landed hard sending a plume of dust out over Kasuke. He brushed his hand and all of it sudden swept to the right and missed him. Quickly he turned, while the thing was preoccupied tasting it and as soon as he got out of the vault, the crew of domestic security went to work re-summoning the stone seal.

(( xd We both keep making Mega posts...))
(It's funny you mention his humility. That's not his flaw, and it is. You'll notice how he always tries to put things like "I think" "In my opinion" attached to his words, always leaving room for error. In his mind all people are merely the product of chance, and equal over all, but despite this belief, he judges people by his own will without hesitation, because he believes one's own heart is the only guide one has. He also believes other people have the same right. So he's humble...and yet he's not. That's not really going to change though... even if he does get nicer about it, it's one of the things I like about him.)
"I agree with you. I'm not trying to create a Utopia, and If ever I do, please stop me. As for your two options of peace, both aren't plausible actions for constant protection. So our only option is stalling." he held the scroll up, "Besides, I'm not protecting Oto from foreign powers now."
Xenon blinked, He wasn't? Xenon didn't think he gave himself enough credit, but, humility was a good quality in it's own way. His thoughts went on. 'I never said those two things were options for peace..merely protection. And I never said one should apply either for constant protection, nor even that constant protection was possible... I was merely saying that I don't think this alone will bring the outcome you seek...if you truly want peace without war, then you must try and sway circumstances that make war inept. If you simply wish to protect...then you must become strong, if you wish to protect things beyond your own time, then you must make others with a like mind to yourself strong.' he watched as the summoning was reaching it's head, his thoughts falling silent as they gave way to interest, but before they faded completely he added 'That at least...is the only truth my eyes see... can it be you see another...Kasuke-sama?'
He watched with some measure of fascination as the creature rose up before them, it's bizarre form truly a sight to behold. A spirit of some kind, obviously, with which he'd actually had more experience with than most, particularly recently, but all the other one's he'd seen so far had been of animals...this one was...well... rather odd.
Xenon had to reach up once more to keep his glasses in place, his usual expression looking upon the beast with an almost scholarly gaze. He really should look more into Summon spirits when he had the chance, they must be such interesting creatures...luckily he had two people he could as about them at length back at his apartment.
"Otokage, have you brought me a tasty child?"
He should also look into what Giant snakes ate come to that, probably a wise move since he was going to be dealing with them a lot. Still, he raised an eyebrow slightly. Was this some kind of hunger spirit?
Xenon wasn't really all that concerned with the creature, he was certain he could out maneuver it if absolutely necessary, and then of course he imagined what Kasuke might do to something that threatened one of his cherished villagers... he remembered the storm which had separated him from Mokutan those years ago. Those gale force winds that seemed to rip the nearby mountain side apart...yes...yes probably something like that.
He marveled at the things excitement over eating a scroll. It was true that it was very powerful...but this creature...taste power? Intriguing... he adjusted his glasses yet again, his eyes actually befitting a child for a time. As Kasuke surrendered the scroll to the spirits appetite, and turned about to leave, Xenon following him without a word. As the sound of the summoning began to fade behind them. Xenon was actually muttering to himself.
"Yes I see...the summoning world... very clever. I would never have thought of it, but surely their can be no place safer. The next best thing to destroying it..." he was watching his feet now, his face now looking casual again. "The logical thing to do would be to have the thing eat it's own summoning contract, then regurgitate it every time the summoning needed to passed on." he was nodding to himself looking as though he understood. "As a good a way as any...not infallible...but certainly effective..." he tilted his head, his mind seeming to forget Kasuke was there. "That creature...what was it made of? Some kind chakra? Or...a partial summoning? Hm..." he closed his eyes for a moment, then seemed to recall Kasuke's presence, his more soldier like Persona returning.
"Why did you want to show me this Kasuke-sama? I'm grateful for the honor but..." surely this was an S-class secret. Why show it to someone who had already uncovered one of the very sorts of things that they were trying to contain. Xenon had no intentions of disturbing them, this was true, but Kasuke couldn't be sure of that...could he?

( I know it's just Kasuke's impression XD, ah and I don't think I'm writing well with his monologues, when I read over what Xen is thinking to himself I'm like "Ah that's what I was trying to say!")
The Kage thanked the anbu who were still breathing heavily. He helped one of them up and turned to Semeku who was standing but had nothing to say. With a nod to her he left with Xen.
"The logical thing to do would be to have the thing eat it's own summoning contract, then regurgitate it every time the summoning needed to passed on."
Kasuke was quite for a minute, he had gone this far already he couldn't stop now. "Tubbymasu," the Kage used the nickname the anbu here had given it to lighten the mood,"Does not have a summoning contract..... This may be do to it being fed to him. He was placed here by the sixth, or well.... the expert summoner that she happened to find." he walked along side Xen looking down at him. "The simple fact of our eating spirit is that whatever ever goes in can never ever come out." he didn't tell Xen the truth now. This he could not reveal. "I was serious when I said you would be the soul possessor of the snake contract." Now he was trying to think like in a game of chess, with this kid nothing he said was safe. He seemed to fall into his own train of thought and the Kage actually had to smile, curiosity, a sort of simple childish thing that Kasuke wouldn't have imagined Xenon to entertain. He saw a boy who simply wanted answers and was eager for the knowledge to answer them.
"Why did you want to show me this Kasuke-sama? I'm grateful for the honor but..."
At this the man's expression returned to stone, "Well, Xenon. In all honesty it was in hope, that you and I could understand each other more, and hopefully that you could understand my point of view about these scrolls, and why I do what I do with them. Throughout all of this though, my head-fake was that I don't want you looking for any more scrolls. No good can come from this, and there will be consequences." he turned to the boy, "Please, don't get me wrong, this is not a threat, nor a warning, I simply see a young shinobi who has very much promise, and who I know will be very strong and wise. Yet your methods are far beyond the other students and the information that seems to fall into your lap-" he sighed with a laugh, "It's all just very interesting." he pulled his hand up through his hair.
"Well, besides that Dash has told me some amazing things about you, all of you really. He thinks you all should be chunin by now." Team 4 seemed to be the latest talk of many of the shinobi actually. "Are you getting a long with him? He can be kind of..... blunt." finally the light of daylight shone out form the intersection in the hall where they had come. As Kasuke turned toward the open door to meet the guards once more. One could only wonder, what was down the other hallway in this infamous Domestic Security?

Xenon looked at Kasuke with a slightly blank expression, his eyebrows lifted to show his casual surprise. So that was why...well, then he supposed Kasuke had succeeded in his endeavor. Xenon at least, understood his position more now, and now there was respect for the man then there had been little before. He didn't really respond to the compliments, they were welcome, but the fact of the matter was that right now he was merely the hypothesis of a great Shinobi...he wasn't quite there just yet. Though to be fair he supposed...he was only 13...
"It's all just very interesting."
Xenon gave a slight smile of his own. Yes, he had to admit there was an odd way about his life's course. Had it truly been coincidence that he'd stumbled upon the snake contracts location down in that library...that so many things seemed to go right for him? His mind always drifted back to the figure in black that haunted his steps since the incident... had protected him from the shadows ever since the day his parents died. The one who'd slaughtered his old village's citizens in mass, the one who'd tricked the last other survivor into attacking Xen, and subsequently meeting their end. Still now he learned an old friend of Kimiko's mother had asked her to look after him, as if they thought he needed it. He closed his eyes for a moment, his only clue the feather of the Crow the Uchiha had been told to give him. What did it mean? Was it something to do with the persons identity...he'd met Mokutan again shortly after...was it something to do with that? He closed his eyes for a moment. Then Kasuke's words broke him from his thoughts.
"-besides that Dash has told me some amazing things about you, all of you really. He thinks you all should be chunin by now." Team 4 seemed to be the latest talk of many of the shinobi actually. "Are you getting a long with him? He can be kind of..... blunt."
Xenon grinned "I share that trait..." he looked ahead. "But I think he and I understand one another now..." he looked at Kasuke sidelong "And I'll pass your compliments along sir...I'm sure Kimiko will be thrilled." his eyes suddenly drifted to the other hallway, a strange feeling creeping down his spine as he almost stopped walking. "What's down that way?" again his look seemed inquisitive.

"Heheh, I'm glad to hear that." The man didn't stop walking to the forceful light on his eyes when Xen stopped, "That's for another time." He greeted the guards at the door and thanked them quickly before stepping into the full sun. He took a deep breath and a great breeze fell over the area and lifted his hair and robe. It felt good to be free of the place. He looked back to Xen. "I'm sure you've already gathered that this is S-class information and you can never speak of it with anyone without clearance. The penalty for betraying this, even innocently is something I hope you can imagine. You're not exempt because of your age or your rank." He smiled down at the boy, "I'm not too worried though."
From high on the hill he looked down the road of where they'd come. Then to the rice fields far beyond. What a great village Oto had become. It had finally shed the skin of it's wicked past. It had finally gained stability and wealth. His people were safe and happy and well-fed. Was there more a man could ask for?
(Wouldn't it be great if the time skip happened right now and we went into the Otobe uprising XD, by the way feel free to leave. He doesn't want to jump off before Xen.)

Xenon nodded seriously as they exited into the outside light once more. "Of course sir, I understand, and expect no less. If such a secret were to get out it would be...problematic." he started walking back along towards the village "Thank you Kasuke-sama, until we meet aga-"
"There you are summoner!"
Xenon raised an eyebrow before turning his head, only to be half tackled from behind by a blond girl in a snake like hood. Medusa. She slithered her arms about his shoulders as she smirked shamelessly. "You warm blooded creatures really are warm you know." the small black tendril of chakra sputtered near her mouth briefly, like the tongue of a serpent. "And your skin!" she began poking his cheek with a finger "however do you FEEL so much. You must have tens of thousands of nerves in every pore." her face was alight with mischievous glee.
Xenon, after the intial shock of being embraced, one of the three things which was sure to break through his outer facade, fell actually into a rather unaffected look, as the girl invaded his personal space. He merely sighed exasperatedly before asking "How on earth did you find me?"
Mokutan suddenly landed on his shoulder from above. "Sorry boss...that was my bad. But just so you know, she totally threatened me."
"Only a little." Medusa practically hissed. Medusa's attention then seemed to notice Kasuke was there. Her joy seemed to melt away to caution in a second as she moved her hands to Xenon's shoulders and hid behind him, peering at him about as though Kasuke was some sort of ten foot tall abomination. 'What...what is that? A human? It's...chakra...it feels like...it's feels almost like Rethar-sama...only...' she made a disgusted face. 'pure...'
Xenon merely addressed Mokutan. "I'm very sorry about this sir." he bowed to Kasuke. "I've still got to house train this one." he gestured nonchalantly to Medusa.
"Hey!" she retorted.
"If you'll excuse me." he Shushined out of the girl's clutches right behind her, placing a hand on her shoulder in turn. "Come with me. We'll settle this now." He turned and began to walk off Mokutan landing back on his shoulder after the Shunshin.
-2 cp
Medusa looked slightly off balance after her summoners quick relocation. After all, she'd never seen a Shunshin before. Spirits didn't know that technique. (It's true, seriously, go check, none of them do.) Still, she turned back briefly to Kasuke, an eyebrow raising in curious contempt, before she headed off after her summoner.
(Exit to Team four training grounds)
Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' A very basic jutsu, it appears that most shinobi above Genin-rank know it. Using chakra to activate the body, the user is able to move from one point to another with extreme speeds. This super-fast movement is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. To a normal person, it would seem as if the user has teleported. The amount of Chakra used depends on the distance and elevation between the user and the destination. Cp cost: 1 per ft Damage: N/A Requirements: Dexterity 20+ Training days: 3 days. Special: When rolling initiation checks or racing, or anything that involves speed, add chk mod to the dice roll.

Kasuke nodded, watching Xen and his protege. He sighed as his chakra in the air rolled over the cover of the girl. The man was silent as she looked over him, trying to triumph over his less than perfect feelings of this thing. Slowly breathing he tried not to wish that the girl would vanish with the scroll. As they started off, Kasuke held her gaze with a fierce power. Then they were gone and he had whisked away into the wind. Jumping high into the air and letting himself free fall before turning his attention to his landing. The Kage found himself on a nearby roof and looked down. There were no thoughts now he simply wanted to think nothing for a moment. Again he was gone and this time he didn't stop, he went on back towards his office. It wasn't far away only 3 long jumps at the most.

((guess some one needs to break the post time skip silence O_o))
Tsuneo made his usual walk through the village that had started to become somewhat routine for him. He was going to look at some of the stuff in the shops maybe before he went to the academy to start his day of classes again. He was spending most of his time now of days ether at the academy the libery or home. He figured he should maybe see if their was anything that he might one day to try and get. Also he didn't want go off running to the academy all that much as well. Last couple of days had been involving a lot of running which was quickly turning into Tsuneo least favorite activity at the academy. "I think Ill see if the shops have anything interesting before I go to the academy. I really hope we are not running laps again. I get so tired of it. Wonder if we might do something more entertaining like learn a new jutsu. After all what does running have to do with jutsu anyway..." He just let out a slight sigh as he talked to himself.

Tsueno Continued his walk down the street he decided since he was unsure about classes today at the academy to go to the library and see if he could find anything to read or maybe train on. He figured if he could train real hard on his ninja training he could show his brother and family how much of a great ninja he could be. Over the past two years his favorite place in oto became the Library of oto their he found himself going through all the legendry stories of ninja and history of the world itself. IT all was an amazing read for him. His biggest thing he had learned over the last 6 months was the sage of the 6 paths a person who invented Ninjutsu and how it was all a way of peace. This however did confuse him on the idea of ninjutsu being a practice of peace. However for now he just enjoyed reading of the history of the world more then fictional stories. For Tsueno the events that happened in the past were far more important and amazing then anything a fictional story could come up with.
He soon made his way to the steps of the Library and happily went inside to see what history or maybe even jutsu he could learn about today.

Tsuneo soon found himself walking from the library into the city streets again. This time he was at this point in time mostly loitering around the buildings take a small break from the world and watching everyone run around. He had nothing much to do right now So since of a lack of anything to do like all people his age he decided to wander about the town until he found something be it good or bad that kept his attention.

Xenon took a long slow breath, a wind from the south sweeping in off the rice fields. He found this weather agreeable, at the least he could find nothing to complain about, then again he supposed he was more the sort to enjoy stormy weather. It made him feel more...at home. He gave a small grin.
Mokutan was sitting upon his shoulder as ever, the crows eyes fixed on a particularly clueless pigeon some yards off. "Just look at it..." Mokutan muttered under his breath. "Plotting away...you can feel the evil calculations from here. Hey Chief, ya think you could get it with a Senbon from here."
"Easily," Xenon admitted turning back towards the village as he continued about his walk. "But I like to think I've better things to do with my time then humor your acute paranoia regarding other birds."
"Other birds?" Mokutan sounded slightly offended. "It's not "other birds" it's pigeons. They don't even qualify as one of us...they're more demon than bird now..." he looked back at the innocent pigeon like it might very well be in league with the lord of darkness. "And you won't think I'm so paranoid when the pigeon apocalypse comes. When we are all enslaved in the mines while our dark pigeon overlords rule us from on high, I just want you to know that I freakin called it."
"Duly noted." Xenon confirmed sounding rather unruffled. He was so used to the bird's ramblings at this point, he was fairly certain he'd built up some sort of immunity to...what would Phantom have called it? Balderdash. Yes, that seemed the proper term. At any rate, he was not speaking idly when he said he'd other things to occupy his time. Team Four had the day off today, and he fully intended to spend it wisely. Not that Mokutan agreed with him on what constituted as wisely.
"I still say that wee should be...I don't know hitting the beach or something? Isn't that what most teenagers do on their days off?"
"Oto doesn't have a beach."
"Eh, we've got that swank swimming hole at the training grounds, that would work just as well, and anyway, the point is that we should be relaxing. What's the point of a day off if all we're going to spend it on is more work?"
Xenon turned the corner, most locals long having come to terms with the sight of Xenon talking with his bird, the accomplished young prodigy having garnered something of a reputation...though admittedly not all of it was good. There WAS some talk about him being a mad scientist, but he didn't know WHERE they would have gotten that idea...
"First of all, you are free to relax all you like, I'm the one who will be "working" as you put it. And I don't consider it work...to me, I assure you, this will be quite fun...not to mention interesting." he gave a speculative grin. "After all...reanimating and controlling the dead...would you believe such a technique existed beyond Impure world ressurection? It's really quite amazing."
Mokutan sighed. "Wait, wait, is THAT what this about..."
"Indeed."
Mokutan tilted his avian head. "Boss...you know I think the best of ya...but, when messing around with dead bodies is your idea of..."Fun" you really need to take a vacation. Personally, I blame Usa-chan, too much time around her, you mark my words that's what it is."
"Medusa's not here right now is she?"
"Pfft, only because she had to rest and recover her power, BECAUSE she spends so much time here."
"A fair point...ah, here it is." he stopped before a particular building.
"What's this place?"
"Oh, the morgue." Xenon said in a airy manner.
Mokutan gave a long sigh.

"He's WHAT!!!?" Kimiko's eyes shot wide.
Her mother pointed back over her shoulder. "He was collecting bodies from the morgue for his Ninjutsu research. Apparently he had the same idea as you for today."
Kimiko waved her hand dismissively, clearly moire focused on the issue at hand. "That's not what I'm talking about, why would he need dead bodies to learn jutsu!?"
Sanako gave a teasing smile. "I'm sure their just for more expiriments." Kimiko gave her mother an incredulous look before the woman laughed. "You know him, he's apparently trying to master the dead soul technique, so naturally, he needs something to practice with."
Kimiko planted her palm to her face, exasperation spreading over her. "Oh you've got to be...as if he didn't already have a bad enough reputation without dragging around dead bodies...people are going to be terrified of him eventually..."
Sanako gave a smug smile that, while more dull in appearance, reminded the young chuunin a little to much of her rival in question. "I'm sure he'll be devastated."
Kimiko sighed. "Oh sure, it's all good fun to him, but I'm his teammate, people will start to think I'm crazy too!" she flailed her arm slightly and a nearby villager twitched slightly, before scooting away. Kimiko Momoe had a very different reputation among those who recognized her. While notoriously kind and earnest, she had a habit of forgetting her strength at inopportune times...and breathing fire, both of which causing her to unintentionally damage things in her close proximity. In her own way she was even far more dangerous than her rival. Her rival really had no intention to harm anyone, and merely enjoyed alarming people for his personal amusement, Kimiko however might indeed hurt people, whether she intended it or not. Shaking hands with her was not for people of fragile composition.
"Yes...imagine that." Her mother noted not even bothering to hide her amusement.
Kimiko shrugged. "Oh well, I'm off to train anyway." she'd accompanied her mother to go shopping that morning, but hearing about her teammate had got her riled up as usual, now she wanted to get to work.
"Alright, be back in time for dinner this time won't you? You know how your father gets."
"I know I know, I will. See you later mom!" she then darted off over the heads of the crowd, jumping unto a nearby wall and sticking with chakra as she sped her way towards the rice fields outside of town. She'd been training often there lately any way, and she didn't want to run into Maboroshi. She, though she could not for the life her ever understand why, did enjoy his company, but she wanted the techniques she was learning to be a surprise. So he could use dead bodies as weapons, she'd learn a few good tricks of her own...

Xenon stretched his neck slightly, the two large bags hanging over his shoulder shaped rather alarmingly like body bags, probably because they were, attracting many a terrified glance from those he passed. He got quite the chuckle about giving them his occasional demented leer, before suddenly returning to his normal countenance, leaving the people to wonder if they'd imagined it. It was all quite fun. Still, he did have work to do. He continued along his way, Mokutan flying lazily overhead, as he made for the Teams Training Grounds. Doing this at his apartment might leave something of a smell, and he didn't really care for the odor of death.
At any rate he'd been preparing himself for this day for quite some time. He didn't intend to spend it idly.
