A girl in what looked like maid attire opened the door and looked at the guests and then at the sky, where the moon was now rising. She looked fearfully back at them. "Sir isn't takin' in any guests a the moment You think you could come back in the mornin'?" She asked. Then without waitng she begane to close the door.

The girl took a step back her eyes wide. “I… uh... Sir….” She didn’t know what to do. Who were these people, she did not recognize them from the village. What would Sir want her to do if strangers came and he didn’t want to see them. She was knew here and didn’t really know the ropes of the place. “Sir is busy at the moment!” She said loudly closing her eyes.

Rag shuddeered. "Convents.. Don't say that word, I compleatly loath them. This old lady at one tried to get me to join." She walked in behind Emery. And looked around at the dark hallway. The man living here liked to decorate, well richly. She walked up the beutifullly carpeted stair case. "When we leave i think i'm going to liberate a few of his presious items." Kei sadi loooking gredely at some of the gold treasures.

"Yes, but when we leave there will be no owner so it's legal looting. If that is still the law." Kei said.

Rag nodded. "It's true... But since when did you follow the law? I just think you made a very bad comeback." She said picking up a candle stick. The candle stick moved, but so did the book shelf on the other side of the room. Inside the secret room it was almost pure light. Rag squinted.

Kei was suffering much like Emery was. He was on the ground with his head in his hand. Rag looked back and forth between the two. "Come on you guys get a grip!" She said. She took a step towrds the light, but stopped, it was as if a invisible hand had stopped her. THere wasn't pain, just the fact that she couldn't move.
A figure was silloetted in the light. "So you thought that you could come attack my home. THis room is my fortress, no creature of the night can enter, no matter how strong or idiotic they are." The voice laughed and then. the figure urned and walked back into the room.
Rag began to chant. Dark tendrils reached out from her hands, snaking towrd the sillotte. The figure turned and a bolt of light engulfed the tedrils, causing them to evaporate. Rag shook her head. "Well at least he knows how to create light, though that might be his only trick."

The man turned around and once again shot a bolt of light straight at the vampire. He then stepped back inot the room of light. His figure could no longer be seen.

Rag frowned, Where was the light coming form? She shot a tendril deep into the center of the room, through it she could see around, it looked empty, and there seemed to be no source of light.

Rag swore under her breath, if emery lost all blood he would go on a rampage, well, it might help them fight against this paladin. She hadn't expected him be this strong. She smiled and licked her lips, this was getting fun.

Kei stood up after being bent over and coughing up blood. "Heh, paladin you are going to pay for that!" HIs long red cloak floated off his body, leaving a white shirt. Spinning around the cloak started to look like a wall, at random intervals spikes flew out hititng the wall and some went through the door.
Rag jumped to the ground and lay down. "Watch where your aming those!" She yelled.
Suddenly a large boom was heard as the wall collapsed, letting the light flood into the hall way. "Oops" Kei muttered as the light caused him to fall forward, his cloak landing on his back.

As rag had predicted the Paladin's only trick was the light bolts, he had no defence. He tried to shoot a bolt into emery's stomach and he slashed around trying to break free. But the paladin had started to weaken, he was not that strong, boasting in his own fake power and never growing stronger. He exploted those around him.

Kei stood up and brushed himself oof, he didn't let is guard down, because he figured that the Paladin had another trick up his sleeve. He was dissapointed that the fight had ended to quickly. Rag too didn't let the tendrils wrapping themselves around her hands dissapear.

Suddenly there was a bright flash and the paladin that had been trapped by emery dissapeared. A voice could be heard bouncing around the bright room.
I thank you naive vampires. You have destroyed a ussless minion. He was a thron in my side, i had earlier thought that he would come in value to me, but truely he was just a peice of scum. Do well on your path to redemption The voice luaghed and the three vampires would feel a sence of departing, as if a presence left the room. The feeling that you get when you only realise something was there when it's gone.
