It's right after the action in the book and the main character now has two bandage hands, a broken leg, about a 140 stitches, and four staples that need to be scratched. One of the places she was cut was under her arm so she has to use a wheelchair.

Yup. These was because she was battling a 90ft water serpent who could only be killed by cutting off the veins to the heart. Of course I wont tell you if she won or how she did that if she did. Maybe you'll want to read it.

And she probably let herself be eaten, then cut out of the stomach and went to the heart.

Why do it that way and take a risk when you can get some immortal avatars to be swallowed and while the fish is digesting cut the fish open.
